This appears to be a common problem with no resolution (having just done various Google searches). On 2.3.4 with Orange. Always vibrate ticked with sound off I dont get any vibration for incoming SMS. I've tried various combinations a nd can't seem to resolve it. The vibrate option in messaging is also turned on. I think it used to work but can't be sure.
View 7 RepliesYesterday my phone suddenly stopped vibrating when I receive a text message. I have my phone settings on "vibrate when in silent mode" (which it is in silent mode) and the text message settings in vibrate. When I check "vibrate" in the messaging settings, the phone vibrates, but not when I am actually receiving a text message. I use no apps for text messaging other than the one installed on the phone. Is anyone else having this problem? I have turned the phone off and took the battery out for about 5 minutes, restarted and still nothing!

I see the receipt, on my phone, that it was sent to her, but she didn't receive it. Does that mean there is something wrong with my phone or her's. I use Handcent SMS app. and my wife has a Palm Pre Plus phone. Note: This happened a few times with my backflip too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHad my Atrix 2 for a week and some times when I answer the phone no one is there.They can hear me perfectly well but my phone is dead quiet. Yes I've checked to make sure I haven't accidently hit the mute when answering. There is just no sound coming from the phone. Only a battery pull while powered on will restore the speaker function.Doesn't happen all the time, just enought to be annoying. Had taken back a SGS2 for this phone so I am stuck on this model and frankly I like it way better.AT&T didn't have any answers other than just hard reset it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone in the community has experienced a complete failure of the vibrate motor on their milestone.Mine seemed to be getting weak over the last few days, then worked inconsistently and now has completely stopped working. Shaking the phone a little bit seemed to bring the motor back to life temporarily but it is now completely dead.Rest of the phone works perfectly No notification settings have been changed. Anyone else experience this? Phone has never been dropped or submerged.
Anyone believe this will be covered under the telus warranty? My experience with them after a broken hinge on a keybo was unpleasant to say the least.Running stock 2.1 on a Telus Milestone.
I hope its not a hardware issue, My keyboard is set to vibrate when I type, I'll be in the middle of typing and the vibrating will stop when I type.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIts been a whole day not sure whats goin on i didnt acually realize it was happening untill a friend came over.I was sending texts out to family and friends but never getting any back which i though was weird but didn't think much of it maybe everone i sent one to was busy...unlikely.So my buddy came by and said he has been texting me back all day several times and i never awnsered just kept sayin whats up or you gettin my text lol.
I thought trying to update might solve the problem so i went to update my profile and prl and as soon as i hit update profile they all started coming in at once had tons of them. but now they dont come when people send them they all come together 15 or 20 minutes after they have wrote me back whats the deal.
When I go to edit contacts I see that motorola services contact has the same contact replicated 10 times or more. How can I solve this if I want to edit the contact information?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty sure that this problem started after the Memorial Day Gingerbread soak.Although, it's possible that it started after the mid-August Gingerbread fiasco.I can be sitting at my computer desk in my house and receive a Voicemail notification, only to learn that it was for a call that never rang or vibrated on my Droid X perhaps a quarter of an hour before. This has happened numerous times, while most of the time, the phone rings and calls arrive correctly.

One is an Exchange account and the other is not.Unfortunately I can't remember what I did and now that I want to receive email on my tablet again I can't do it. Can't even send a test message. All it does is vibrate and make the low beep, the tone that lets you know the other person is done talking. This is very inconvenient as now every time my phone vibrates I have to look and make sure I didn't get a direct connect. I have searched through the phone to find a setting to change but have had no success so far.

With the GB update it did get a little better but today when I turned on my phone at 7am and it's now 10:30am I have not received any emails. I checked my Hotmail account on a desktop pc and I had 12 emails since last night as recently as 15 minutes ago. I thought GB was supposed to fix this. My battery life is not better if possibly worse with GB. And yes my Droid X does turn back on when I turn it off. Looks like GB may have fixed some things but broke others
