I'm using the standard Alarm & Timer app that comes with the Motorola XPRT. Does anyone have the problem that if the alarm is set to vibrate, it wont stop vibrating even after the alarm is snoozed or turned off?
View 14 RepliesMessaging will not vibrate on ringer or vibrate. Enter messaging menu and click on vibrate: I have done a full reboot of phone, Including removing the battery, Vibrate DOES work for incoming calls. I have the most recent update software.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. I may have to do the same with the 5230. I have 90 days to turn it back in to Costco.

Any chance for 4.x?Because, see, as of today XPRT is lagging behind for like a year on Android updates.It was released (June 6, 2011) with outdated FroYo (released May 20, 2010).Now, if stars align, we'll get GB 2.3.5 update (released July 25, 2011) hopefully in August '12.And that also means that phone that's been out only for a year is already 2 major Android versions behind current one.

View 15 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks whenever I go out for a run my music pauses on it's own. I then "un-pause" it and have to turn the volume back up and carry on. In some cases I cannot get the music to resume at all and I have to restart the moto. I have also found that if I start my music before I press start for the workout the music will pause when I press start. Initially it has been doing this under 10 times per 2 hour run. This morning it paused, without exageration, nearly 100 times. Needless to say I was cussing like a sailor for the duration of my run.

You can prevent them from running easily.In the Xoom I see some programs doing the same thing. Like Maps. I have no need for the Maps app to be running normally. I doubt if I would ever use it. I have GPS for the vehicles and mostly go to known locations now anyway.I don't want to remove the app particularly. You never know when you might decide it would be good to run it

Up to now my MOTOACTV has been fine, but today I had the music just stop several times mid-workout and it would not start again for several minutes despite pressing the "music" button quickly or even going to the music screen and pressing the play button. Within a few minutes of trying, however, it would start back up like normal. Also, my heart rate monitor was dropped once, but "sef-healed" and it seemed to be about 10-15 bpm off from normal at times. (This could be a low battery on the hrm, so I'll replace that and try again).

I discovered that if the password is entered wrong 5 times, the phone erases all the data on the phone as well as the memory card. View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone in the community has experienced a complete failure of the vibrate motor on their milestone.Mine seemed to be getting weak over the last few days, then worked inconsistently and now has completely stopped working. Shaking the phone a little bit seemed to bring the motor back to life temporarily but it is now completely dead.Rest of the phone works perfectly No notification settings have been changed. Anyone else experience this? Phone has never been dropped or submerged.

This appears to be a common problem with no resolution (having just done various Google searches). On 2.3.4 with Orange. Always vibrate ticked with sound off I dont get any vibration for incoming SMS. I've tried various combinations a nd can't seem to resolve it. The vibrate option in messaging is also turned on. I think it used to work but can't be sure.

FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. MY PHONE KEEPS TURNING OFF IN 4-5 HOURS AND IT IS SAYING IT IS DEAD. AND ALSO MY PHONE GETS HOT AT THE TOP OF THE PHONE, THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE STAYS COOL.

I have my phone settings on "vibrate when in silent mode" (which it is in silent mode) and the text message settings in vibrate. When I check "vibrate" in the messaging settings, the phone vibrates, but not when I am actually receiving a text message. I use no apps for text messaging other than the one installed on the phone. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
