Jun 19, 2011On my previous phone I could select the alarm with vibrating alert. I used it a lot. Is there a way to switch the vibration on for the alarm?

Apr 4, 2011It seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

Mar 2, 2011My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?

Nov 22, 2010Other than this one bug, the E5-00 is awesome! BUT: No matter what alarm sound I set, it is always VERY loud! I can hear it 2 rooms across... Even if I manually edit an mp3 file for it to be a lower volume, my E5-00 automatically makes it the same loudness...

Apr 24, 2011I live in th UAE and want to use the alarm function on the phone to wake me up in the morning..
I have noticed that you can set the alarm to be repeated wither Daily, Weekly or on Workdays. The E7 recognises work days as Monday to Friday, however in the UAE workdays are Sunday to Thursday.
Is there anyway of chaning the Workdays option so the alarm goes off on the correct days?

Mar 31, 2010Today I played with speed dialing and accidentally set my own number as the mailbox number(assigned speed dialing No. 1) and I can't seem to find any way to correct this(to chnage the assigned number). Can anybody suggest to me how to change the assigned speed dialing number For specifically No 1?And I also noticed something strange that everytime I call anybody on my list after dialling window message it is always followed with Active divert alert message window.I never noticed this before...how do I get rid of this annoying divert alert message eevrytime I call anybody else when there's no diverting that took place.

May 15, 20111) Searching all over, there doesn't seem to be a basic alarm feature. I can create calendar a specific calendar event but that seems like overkill if I just want the phone to wake me up from a short nap.
2) The documentation says to press the Shift key twice to switch between uppercase & lowercase. This seems to work everywhere but at the begining of a line. Why the special case?

Feb 4, 2011I've had my E72 since July '10 and everything's been fine, but recently something rather odd happened. I don't know whether it would be connected to the problem in the title of this thread, but I woke up yesterday - after leaving my phone on, as I always do, and it was pretty much fully charged - and the battery was drained, and my recently dialled/received calls had disappeared. As strange as that was, I dealt with it because it wasn't a huge deal. However, I have since discovered something else.
I changed my alarm ringtone from one of the many ones I have manually put on my phone to off, so I would just be woken by a vibration. Upon trying to put it back to my custom tone, as I have done hundreds of times, I've discovered that all of the songs that I've manually put on my phone don't come up on the list of ringtones available for my alarm, which I find odd. Only the default/preset ones are available.
I quite liked my alarm tone, it was the song used to wake up the characters in Inception!

Dec 3, 2014My phone alerts me (a chime if the sound is on, vibration if not) every 4 hours starting at 12:09 am. 4:09 am, 8:09 am, 12:09 pm, so on and so forth. Every day. It's not associated with any alarm (already deleted all alarms and waited for the next X:09 checkpoint, and it still alerts me) or app. I've already tried resetting and restoring, and it still happens.

Jun 20, 2010Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.

Feb 24, 2011I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.

Jun 22, 2010I recently downlaoded a bunch of ringtones off of the internet, and I also recently added another email account to my tour. I Assigned different alert tones to the 2 email addresses, sms messages, bbm messages, and facebook alerts. I have found that when I get a message, and the assigned alert tone is activated, as soon as that tone turns off anoter different alert is then activated. I cannot figure out why or how to prevent this from happening.

Jun 26, 2010This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.

Nov 25, 2011I amusing E63 mobile phone. I am not been able to view the contacts in the mobile, so not been able to use the same. But when an incoming call comes in I do get the name resolution of the person calling and his mobile no which is stored in the contacts.I tried backing up the mobile and all the time the backup of contacts could not happened and besides Contacts rest all is backed up....
