at one time i used find a feature on my MOTOROLA XPRT that said PHONE CALLS ONLY which i took as only the number in my contact would be able to call and text me. Can someone tell me where and if my phone does offer that feature?

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a call from a number that is not one of my contacts, the image that pops up is a question mark. Is there a way to remove or change this image. I don't like seeing a question mark when I get a call from someone not on my contact list. I think the Droid phones have a little green android creature that pops up on such calls, but this Motorola XPRT has a question mark. Something like the android creature would be better, or simply no picture at all. I can't find an app that will do this.

Any chance for 4.x?Because, see, as of today XPRT is lagging behind for like a year on Android updates.It was released (June 6, 2011) with outdated FroYo (released May 20, 2010).Now, if stars align, we'll get GB 2.3.5 update (released July 25, 2011) hopefully in August '12.And that also means that phone that's been out only for a year is already 2 major Android versions behind current one.

When my daughter first started up the phone they were there, but then disappeared and are now not showing the FB and Twitter contacts. Based on other similar questions, it appears that this is a reoccuring issue that hopefully Motorola has addressed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola xprt is less that 1 week old. At first everything worked fine. I had internet connection etc. So I connected to my home wifi and it worked fine, then my secure wifi at work. however now I cannot connect to the internet without wifi. There is no 3G signal activity. I tried to troubleshoot with a Sprint representatitve and after trying to do a profile update 3 times unsuccessfully, he recommended I take it to a shop and maybe get a new phone. Prior to that however I tried to troubleshoot from this site via a USB connection with properly installed drivers ( I think) and it was not able to detect my device. Do I have some settings wrong?
View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery time I connect the XPRT to my computer, it performs a long drawn out process. One the phone it reads:
1. Connecting usb or mass storage
2. Preparing SD card
3. SD card safe to remove
Steps 2. and 3. are continually cycled back and forth for at least 10 minutes. During this period I cannot access any of the data on the phone via the computer. Once the cycling is complete and the notifications menu reads "SD card safe to remove," it functions normally. The entire time I have the USB connection set as "USB Mass Storage." Other than that I do not have any problems transferring data to and from the phone, however, it is frustrating that it takes so long for it to connect.
Since the update alot of my contacts phone numbers have been erased. In some instances the entire contact has been erased. Why and how do we fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTwo weeks into using my new XPRT and now the green phone button does nothing, well almost nothing. After a power down and battery remove-replace, the first time I push the phone button the screen blinks, then nothing. Each push thereafter does nothing.If I use the phone dialer app it's the same thing. To make a call I have to either use my Voice Mail which works fine, and use the redial function from voice mail, or use Contacts to make a call. If I want to call a number not in a VM or in my contacts, it can't be done.Android 2.2.2

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have recently switched to a XPRT and have been having a problem with the phone audio (speaker, earpiece and mic) that requires me to reboot the phone EVERYDAYAll other audio functions work properly. Speaker for music, notifications, phone rings...but when i try to make or receive a call, there is no audio on my end (whether on speaker, earpiece or bluetooth) and the microphone is dead as well.The only way to resolve this issue is to power cycle (reboot) the phone. THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY!

Nor did it give me a sync option when adding my facebook account. When I first purchased the xprt and added fb the contacts synced,I had to remove it and add it again do to being hacked. Could this be the reason? I know this is pretty ocd for something so small,I just really want my google contacts to sync with fb

FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. MY PHONE KEEPS TURNING OFF IN 4-5 HOURS AND IT IS SAYING IT IS DEAD. AND ALSO MY PHONE GETS HOT AT THE TOP OF THE PHONE, THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE STAYS COOL.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
Well I did the update this morning on my brand new XPRT, and now I get 'error' when I try to enable it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently I'm living in the Netherlands and I own a Motorola XPRT that I bought at Sprint in the US.I'm trying to update my phone to 4.1.110.en.US, the firmware does download, asks me to install.I accept offcourse, the phone reboots, tries to flash new firmware, suddently stops and reboots again and after the phone is fully booted there is a message displayed that says that the update has failed.I already did a factory reset and a hard reset.

I am however a little dissapointed with the speaker volume of this phone. When playing podcasts in the background while working, I have to have the phone super close to hear it.
