Oct 9, 2012Since the update alot of my contacts phone numbers have been erased. In some instances the entire contact has been erased. Why and how do we fix this?

How To Get Contacts From A Non-Motorola Phone Into XPRT
Apr 10, 2012Can anyone explain how to get contacts from a non-Motorola phone into the XPRT so that they show up when the blue contacts button is selected and appear in the phone's phone book, as well as FB, Twitter? When my daughter first started up the phone they were there, but then disappeared and are now not showing the FB and Twitter contacts. Based on other similar questions, it appears that this is a reoccuring issue that hopefully Motorola has addressed.

Motorola XPRT :: Facebook Contacts Aren't Synced To The Phone?
Jul 27, 2011So I tried what was suggested to me as far as adding my facebook account to the social networking app in my xprt and still the contacts have not linked. Nor did it give me a sync option when adding my facebook account. When I first purchased the xprt and added fb the contacts synced,I had to remove it and add it again do to being hacked. Could this be the reason? I know this is pretty ocd for something so small,I just really want my google contacts to sync with fb

Jul 30, 2011I own a business and having my contacts phone numbers is an abosolute necessity for me.I've noticed that after importing all my contacts from my SD card (after having setup the phone and creating a MotoBlur account, adding facebook, and a couple of email accounts) that the contacts whom had a Facebook profile, it REMOVED the phone numbers that were previously attached to the contact file.Is there a way to keep the phone from doing this? It did this to each contact that had a facebook profile that didn't have their phone number on their facebook profile.I've tried to go in and edit the contact but it tells me that you can't edit a facebook profile / contact.

1. i noticed that for some contacts that have 4 phone numbers and 2 emails, the phone numbers are all jamed together in one line, rather than listing them one by one. any idea how to fix it? by the way, the contacts are maitained in my google mail/contacts already.
2. how to add a voice tag to a name/contact? i found my atrix had hard time recognizing a name and always messed it up with other contacts. so i want to find a way to make it easier for the phone to recognize it when i say "Call xxx" (some especially for some non english names).

Oct 26, 2012How to sync or rather resync facebook contacts back to your XPRT's contact list if lost. My son deleted my contacts and when I restored them from online back ups I noticed my facebooks were not there. Trying to remove the account to resync would not work. I received an error with each attempt. Like many users I use the Facebook app from Google's market. Even when I would force close the app it would still not remove my face book account. You cannot resync unless you remove the account. Open the facebook app and simply sign out of the app. do not close it but sign out by hitting the menu icon to the left of your home button on the touch scene. This will allow you to remove the Facebook account. It will warn you on sign out that all your Facebook data on your phone will be lost if you sign out. That is okay as soon as you log in and resync and reopen the app it will all come back.
Once you have logged out remove your account by going to My Accounts in the app drawer or from your phones settings through the menu button. Resettling your phone is not necessary but can be done at this point if you wish. Either way after this point you must add your facebook account back by going back to My Accounts. Once you add the email and password and it goes back to your accounts screen you will see two (2) facebook accounts. Click one and if it pulls up a blue and white screen to log into the facebook app stop. Hit the back button and click the other facebook account. The one you want will have a black Motorola XPRT system windows that says "sync contacts" just hit that sync button and it should as long as facebook and your MOTOBLUR app on facebook are both working resync you contacts adding them to your phones contacts.

Sep 6, 2011My Motorola xprt is less that 1 week old. At first everything worked fine. I had internet connection etc. So I connected to my home wifi and it worked fine, then my secure wifi at work. however now I cannot connect to the internet without wifi. There is no 3G signal activity. I tried to troubleshoot with a Sprint representatitve and after trying to do a profile update 3 times unsuccessfully, he recommended I take it to a shop and maybe get a new phone. Prior to that however I tried to troubleshoot from this site via a USB connection with properly installed drivers ( I think) and it was not able to detect my device. Do I have some settings wrong?

May 31, 2012I have read about duplicating contacts, but that is not my main problem. My problem is that instead of one phone number for any given contact, there may be up to 30 of the same phone number! If there is a cell and home, both will be duplicated. What a pain! I do use mobileme but have not started on the cloud yet. Any ideas how this can happen? I showed them my iphone 4 (IOS 5.1.1) at the Verizon store and the rep said she never saw anything like that before. I live two hours from the nearest apple store.

Motorola XPRT :: Connecting The Phone To Personal Computer?
Jul 29, 2011Every time I connect the XPRT to my computer, it performs a long drawn out process. One the phone it reads:
1. Connecting usb or mass storage
2. Preparing SD card
3. SD card safe to remove
Steps 2. and 3. are continually cycled back and forth for at least 10 minutes. During this period I cannot access any of the data on the phone via the computer. Once the cycling is complete and the notifications menu reads "SD card safe to remove," it functions normally. The entire time I have the USB connection set as "USB Mass Storage." Other than that I do not have any problems transferring data to and from the phone, however, it is frustrating that it takes so long for it to connect.
Motorola XPRT :: Phone Button Doesn't Work?
Jul 26, 2011Two weeks into using my new XPRT and now the green phone button does nothing, well almost nothing. After a power down and battery remove-replace, the first time I push the phone button the screen blinks, then nothing. Each push thereafter does nothing.If I use the phone dialer app it's the same thing. To make a call I have to either use my Voice Mail which works fine, and use the redial function from voice mail, or use Contacts to make a call. If I want to call a number not in a VM or in my contacts, it can't be done.Android 2.2.2

Oct 10, 2012When in Greek Display language (not in English) and in Contacts, Phone fields, entering of an '0' number, I get displayed a highlighted 'W' instead.This of course can be stressfully corrected via a copy and pasting an '0'char else use my phone in English Display Language.

Apr 26, 2015I have a non-rooted, Galaxy S5 on AT&T which forwards any phone number not in my contacts to voicemail after one short ring sound. I have Android lollipop version 5.0 but this problems has been happening for months even under Kit Kat version 4.4.4 and 4.4.2.
I checked call rejection, interruptions, blocking, and cannot find the root cause or remediation. I am also using tasker but I cannot find anything enabled there either. AT&T insists they are not doing anything on their end.

IPhone :: Using Contacts Phone Numbers While Traveling In Europe?
Jul 2, 2012My wife and I own iPhone 4S phones and will be traveling with them to England for the first time this coming holiday season. We have Verizon service with international calling enabled, and intend to use Verizon's international calling plan for the period while we are to be traveling (no swapping for European telco SIM cards). We each have extensive Contacts lists in our phones, and both are synced to our Address Books on our home iMacs. We have our US contacts memorized in the standard area code + number format, and similarly we have our Brit friends' cell and home phone numbers memorized in the "011" (US exit code) "44" (England country code) + number format. With that we can of course call US numbers as normal and the Brits just fine while here in the US. But when we are overseas I suspect we would need a different number sequence to connect with family back here in the US if needed, and we certainly couldn't call the English phone numbers from within England using the 011-44 prefix before their numbers. Is there anyway to prepare for that situation short of re-entering a bunch of phone numbers for while we are away, and then changing it all back again when we return a few weeks later? How do people who travel overseas frequently, say on business, handle this? Multiple numbers in different formats for each Contact?

Apr 16, 2012Is there any way of getting the actual phone numbers to show when in the "Contacts" screen instead of just the contacts name. If I want to look for a phone number, it means that I have got to click on each contact name to bring up the next screen with the phone number etc on it and then click back to the contacts screen and keep doing it all through the list of contacts.
With my old HTC Desire it used to show both right at the start.

Motorola XPRT :: Phone Audio, Requires Daily Reboot?
Jun 29, 2011I have recently switched to a XPRT and have been having a problem with the phone audio (speaker, earpiece and mic) that requires me to reboot the phone EVERYDAYAll other audio functions work properly. Speaker for music, notifications, phone rings...but when i try to make or receive a call, there is no audio on my end (whether on speaker, earpiece or bluetooth) and the microphone is dead as well.The only way to resolve this issue is to power cycle (reboot) the phone. THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY!
