Apr 5, 2012I deleted my icloud account on my iphone and in doing so was asked if I wanted to delete the contact and calendars. I thought they were talking about the icloud account. But what I did not realize was they were talking about ALL contacts. I checked my desktop and all contact are deleted. How can I get my contact list back without paying apple support 29.00 with no promise of if I can get my list back.

Jun 21, 2010when I was upgrading to 4, I got some error that came up (something like MobileBackup.exe has crashed, not too sure what it was) and it stopped restoring. However, it is still called "Anthony's iPhone", the same as during the last upgrade and I synced it so I still have all my old apps. Is there anyway I can recover all these lost contacts etc? It's basically like a new phone now with apps, I had to so the shift+restore method to upgrade as my iTunes account wasn't logging in.
Oh and btw, yes I was doing it on Vista because my iMac broke a few weeks ago, so no comments like "because you're on Windows" please :P

Jul 19, 2010I reset my htc hero back to factory settings (holding home, end call, and back buttons together) because the unlock code for the phone was entered too many times until it asked for my email and password. I entered the correct email and password and the phone still said it was wrong, so I was forced to reset the phone.Now I am wondering if its possible to recover my contacts somehow? I usually write them down but forgot this time. so I did a hard reset of the phone and now I cant go any further in setting up phone. I put in my email address I used and it tells me to use an email account from which the phone had been synced before.i always use the same email but it still tells me that message had to change passwords etc to get into account but it still wont let me set up my phone..

I gave my wife the 8830 and she had her old phone transferred to the 8830. I realized the I did not have my passwords in my password keeper on the new 9630 so I connected the 9630 to the laptop with the old desktop manager. I recovered my passwords but now I have my wife's contacts in my phone and I can't recover my contacts. If anyone could provide a solution.

Jun 15, 2010I was having issues trying to change my default email to a gmail account. I finally decided to delete the gmail account and then re-register it. When I did this I accidentally chose to sync contacts. Now all my contacts are friggin' gone! If I open my call history all the info is there for everyone, but not anywhere else. Anyone have any ideas on WTF happened and how to recover them? I can't imagine that they were all wiped out irrecoverably. BTW, I've checked for any filters, and even deleted the gmail contacts service book but still no joy.

For several days I had noticed that my BB ( 9550 Storm 2, Verizon Wireless, about one year old, v 5.0.0.713[Bundle 1206, Platform 4.2.0.323) would consume the batterly life much faster ( in less than 12 hours, I would have to charge it again), I went to the store and gave me some tips about how to conserve energy and such and did not think I needed a new battery. Finally on Thursday it would go into a loop of freezing and resetting and then freezing again , and resetting, for hours. I had synchronized the device the night before. So ,I decided to go for a hard reset. NOw, in spite of the sync'ing, I don't have my contacts in the device and, what is worse, I don't know where to look for them in my laptop.

Jan 11, 2012I bought my bold 9900 last november and back then I connected the phone to the computer and switch from the 9700 that i own previously. Since then I never connected the phone to the computer again until yesterday to update the software. In the middle of my first attempt to update there was a crash so I started again but for my surprise after de update has finished and i reinitiate the handset it seems that almost eveything was wiped out, I had to reinstal all the applications and when the phone was on it came the option the contacts from sim to be installed but then i have some contacts missing and part of the info of some of the ones that still there are also missing, the weird thing is the pictures that i had in the phone are all there.... DO you think theres anyway to get the contacts back? SHould I restore from the backup of the 9700 that i did when i bought the new phone?

Feb 7, 2012I have updated my Nokia N8 to Nokia Belle with Nokia Updater for Mac but I cannot find contacts, sms and notes. All disappeared and unfortunately I don't have a backup. It is urgent and important. At the end of the update it was asking me if I wanted to import contacts from another Nokia phone, but as it wasn't the case, I bypassed that option. Surely I did something wrong but I really do hope that contacts, notes and sms are saved somewhere on my Mac.
