Jun 20, 2012I lost important notes while syncing my iPhone on my MacBook Pro. I have synced before, and know that the notes on my phone migrate to the MacBook Pro. If I want them back on the phone, I had to drag them back to the phone. So I synced notes and there was an option as to whether to keep or delete notes that were synced; I am quite sure that I chose, "keep." Now, I am unable to find those valuable notes on either device. Ouch. Can you help? Is there a backup type of place to recover them?

Jun 26, 2014I used to have an old LG flip-phone and an iPod Touch. I lost the iPod Touch about six months ago. This week I got my iPhone. I had to go to the Verizon store to have them take all the contacts off the LG phone and put them onto my iPod.Â
I had painstakingly pared down my iTunes music library to choice selection of checked items that were small enough to fit on the iPod touch. I didn't want to go through that process again, so I hooked my iPhone up to my computer for the first time, opened iTunes, and synced with the iPod touch backup on my computer. It would have been smart to have backed up the iPhone first, but I didn't. Since I couldn't text with the iPod Touch, it didn't occur to me that the existing texts on my iPhone would be overwritten.Â
Now all the media files and apps from my old iPod Touch are on my new iPhone 5. The new iPhone apps I downloaded yesterday are on there, too. But the contacts and texts have vanished.Â
To review: no iTunes backup of iPhone data. No iCloud backup, either-- I've never used iCloud before.Â
I downloaded Wondershare's iPhone Data Recovery program and used it to scan data on the device. The scan shows 0 contacts and only the 2 text messages that I've received this evening. Curiously, it does have my entire call history from the last week.Â
So is there any way to recover the texts from this last week?

Jun 21, 2010when I was upgrading to 4, I got some error that came up (something like MobileBackup.exe has crashed, not too sure what it was) and it stopped restoring. However, it is still called "Anthony's iPhone", the same as during the last upgrade and I synced it so I still have all my old apps. Is there anyway I can recover all these lost contacts etc? It's basically like a new phone now with apps, I had to so the shift+restore method to upgrade as my iTunes account wasn't logging in.
Oh and btw, yes I was doing it on Vista because my iMac broke a few weeks ago, so no comments like "because you're on Windows" please :P

I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac. My MobileMe emails were then sent to my iMac including all my notes backup both from my iPad and iPhone.So my Notes are not deleted or lost, just none of my iPad notes are now on my iPhone.Read the support BB's are now VERY confused what to do to restore my iPad Notes on my iPhone.On iPhone, I only seem to have: All Notes / On My iPhone / my MobileMe email address While on my iPad, I have: All Notes / From my Mac / my MobileMe email address My iPhone is 3GS. Mar 19, 2010I previously owned an 8830 World Edition and recently bought the 9630 Tour. I had the the guy at Sprint transfer everything from the 8830 to the 9630. I gave my wife the 8830 and she had her old phone transferred to the 8830. I realized the I did not have my passwords in my password keeper on the new 9630 so I connected the 9630 to the laptop with the old desktop manager. I recovered my passwords but now I have my wife's contacts in my phone and I can't recover my contacts. If anyone could provide a solution.

Jun 19, 2012Running iMAC 27 , lion 10.7.4 and iTunes 10.6.3 with an iPad 2 and iphone. I can't sync contacts anymore for some time now.Either on the iPad or iPhone. Everything is checked properly in iTunes , and , actually, everything worked properly..Calendars , Mails sync perfectly but the Synchronisation simply bypasses the Contacts. The groups in Adress Book do not show in iTunes. In iTunes, the "advanced" menu, with "replace information on this iPhone" doesnt work either? Now, all my iphone contacts are deleted, and iTunes never replaced those informations with the computer ones. I ve tried many things found here, and no improvement. I think it s a bug, and unfortunately, Apple doesn t do anything to address it.

Jun 15, 2010I was having issues trying to change my default email to a gmail account. I finally decided to delete the gmail account and then re-register it. When I did this I accidentally chose to sync contacts. Now all my contacts are friggin' gone! If I open my call history all the info is there for everyone, but not anywhere else. Anyone have any ideas on WTF happened and how to recover them? I can't imagine that they were all wiped out irrecoverably. BTW, I've checked for any filters, and even deleted the gmail contacts service book but still no joy.
