How to see the contacts from the backed up contacts from my Iphone to itunes. i do not have iphone with me now. can i sync to android phones? or is there any way i can login to itunes and search the contacts?

When I came back I plugged it into my computer and was asked if I wanted to put my iPod touch backup on the iPhone. Thinking it would just put all the music and photos from my iPod onto the phone, I clicked yes, and also installed the newest update. When it was all finished all my photos that had been on my iPod were there, but all the pictures I had taken on my trip were gone, as well as all my contacts. How can I get them back?

I mistakenly selected restore backup on my computer with my iphone 5S plugged in and little did i know it was going to delete all of my photos and contacts that I had from the past year and send me back to my last backup which was when ios 7 came out (LAST YEAR!!) I really need these photos and contacts back, so I did some research about recovering deleted files on my phone and turns out applications like these exist. I just don't know which ones to get. Most of them range from $50 to $100 so i really don't want to have to buy two of them. Some of them are called PhoneRescue, MobiSaver, Wondershare Dr. Fone...etc and i tried all of their 'free trials' and none of them worked.

Lion's iTunes won't backup/sync to the iMac (late 2009 model, batch 2010) nor iCloud the almost 4 year old iPhone 3G's Address Book because it only has iOS 4.2.1. The iTunes data on the computer my iPhone was firstly connected and configurated with has been deleted. I was looking for an opportunity to update my iPhone to the newest iOS software (since it was on 5.0) without erasing all the data saved on my mobile. But that time I did not know that all data will be erased when upgrading a device a complete version (like from 3.0 to 4.0 or 4.0 to 5.0) and then it happened. Several hundred business contacts of mine has been erased and cannot be reset. All functions except the phone/message contacts are unimportant now. MOST IMPORTANT: I connected my iPhone with a new MacBook, updated iTunes to 10.6.3 (current version) and synced my mobile with it. Data will be erased if updating on an unknown computer (for iOS device) where no data which are on my iPhone are saved. Unfortunately, the instructions at iTunes Support were helpless because during the important backup for resetting all datas has been interrupted with the following window: Backup not possible , There are not enough space on the iPhone left to finish the backup.
It has never continued and since then all data has been erased. I would be incredibly glad if anybody could give me at least a tip to do something.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently replaced my n85 as it was malfunctioning. I backed up the phone memory to SD card. On restoring this to my new phone, the contacts doesn't seem to have been restored. On entering the phone book, it says "contacts from selected memories not available". It seems strange as, upon receiving calls/messages, my phone knows who they are from (ie. the name of the contact comes up rather than the number). It seems the contacts are somewhere in the phone but it just won'r let me see them.

I had assumed i would be able to save/backup/restore the most important info on my cell like my text messages, phone contacts and ALL my photos in my photostream thru iTunes and NOT have to shell out $3.99US + taxes to be able to do so! The App Store has only 1 free app (out of a whopping 5) which, of course, i cannot use on my 6.1.6 iOS..
How can i backup my messages and contacts? How do I add more options from where I backup email contacts etc etc OTHER than just Microsoft programs? i.e. From Chrome or FireFox.
How do I save and access ALL my 600 pics from my phone when only 56 are listed to be able to be saved on iTunes? Would I be completely delusional to hope there is an app or software that could do a cross-platform transfer of my stuff to an Android phone....??Â

Today I went to update my X10. While at work it wouldn't allow me to as it insisted I connected it to a computer. So at home I got the USB cabled hooked up to my Linux Laptop and then discovered it had to be a windows computer.Anyway, I got it hooked to a Windows computer and the update process began. I followed every instruction and set all tickboxes for backup.After unplugging this and plugging it back in and rebooting here and there, it finally reached the restore process.I left it restoring for a while. When I came back to it, it said something had crashed. I don't know what as I'd just woken from a nap.But, it seems all my applications are restored. Yet my gmail account & Facebook account have become disassociated from my phone and all my contacts no longer have any names or pictures. I opened the contacts/phone book and the list is completely empty. tried to import contacts but it says it cannot find any anywhere.

so i lost my 32GB 4gs, got a 8GB 4gs and went to restore it from an older back up of the 32GB. obviously i can't restore all the music etc, the ONLY thing i actually tried to sync to the new phone was contacts, but somehow i have a phone filled to the max with "other" ? can't figure out exactly what it is. it's weird cuz it says it's 1MB short of making the full sync.

I recently tried to backup my phone and many of my notes have been lost. The backup contains note from 2 years ago, notes from 6 months ago, as well as notes from 4 days ago, however most in between are lost. One in particular was created 1 year ago and has been updated periodically over the year but it is not in the backup even as a previous version. I have tried multiple 3rd party softwares aimed toward recovering deleted notes NOT in a backup, however nothing is recognizing any outside those that were backed up. Do I have any options to recover? One note in particular was VERY important to me.

For reasons which are now irrelevant, I had lost some photos through attempting to sync with iTunes. (I clicked off the process before it had completed-hence why I only lost a few) In order to get these back, I tried a 'restore from backup'- unbeknownst to me, this back up was from a few months ago. I have now lost 300+ photos (among other, less important things). I am on Windows 7 and have found the backup files in windows explorer as suggested in numerous forums but have no idea what to do with them now...I understand that these photos may simply be lost. But at the moment I'm refusing to believe that they have been deleted from the face of the earth as NOWHERE along the line did I press 'delete' or any other such commands.
