Jun 18, 2012I had been having a problem with my iPhone4s and Itunes communicating. Every time I attached my iPhone iTunes would report an error that the Library could not be updated. I followed instructions on how to more the .XML file, restart iTunes then reimport the library. The problem is that now NONE of the Apps I had are there, and if I attach my iPhone it wants to delete the apps on the phone and replace it with the ones in the iTunes Library, which at this point is only two! How do I get the apps on my iPhone BACK into my iTunes library!

Aug 26, 2010Don't know what happened but in iTunes when looking at my music folder, none of my music has checkmarks in the boxes.This happened yesterday, and as far as I know I didn't do anything to cause this.
I have over 5,000 songs in iTunes, and I cannot possibly have them all in my iPhone due to space constraints, so I usually have around 3,000 which will fit nicely along with all of my apps.I tried syncing the phone twice now but none of the music changes (which I think is good being that there are no checkmarks), and neither do the missing checkmarks in iTunes.Is there some way for me to get the phone to tell iTunes to check the boxes for the songs that are currently on the phone?

I noticed that the contacts were there a couple of days a go and now the whole contacts directory is gone. This is my first iphone having had a Blackberry Storm prior to this. I had NOT done any updates recently. My iCloud was set with "contacts ON". My wife also has an iPhone. She also has not recently done any updates. We both have our own logins for iTunes. I have tried Connecting my phone, opening iTunes, and clicking Sync. This did not work. Is there any way to find out where SOME of my contacts went?

Jun 22, 2012I have Iphone 3G - no jail brake!In Itunes i backed up my iphone (i can see the last back up in folder as well in device preferences > devices > device backups) Then I decided to update my Iphone from IOS 4.x.x (i dont remember exact version) to the latest (5.1.1)After update was succesfully done it automatically took latest backup and installed it on iphone. I have all SMS, contact favorites, last calls - BUT THERE ARE NO CONTACTS. Interesting that during pushing favorites it shows very shortly favorite names, but then stays only numbers.I tried to off/on I cloud, sim import, restart, restore from backup - nothing works.
