Mar 14, 2012I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

May 16, 2010Last week i had a major malfunction on my PC.now when i try and sync my i-phone all my apps are still on my i-phone but they are all gone from my pc.the i-phone will not sync to the pc and restore the apps.i tried to d/l an app that is on the phone, the pc said i had already paid for it but had no downloaded yet.i downloaded it months ago.where did my pc apps go? do i have to d/l all the apps again? any ideas would be appreciated!

Aug 31, 2014i forgot my passcode and had to reset my phone which meant all data was lost. I took a few photos after i got my phone back from the reset. I went home and synced my phone with iTunes and restored my data. However, all the photos that were restored only traced back to August 7 and the photos i previously took after my phone was reset were all gone. I took them using VSCO Cam and the Camera app, but i can't recover any of them! I tried to rebuild thumbnails via VSCO cam but still, my library was empty. My photo album only consists of pictures that are dated up to around August 7.

Jun 6, 2012So I have been having trouble with updating a couple apps on my iphone. They would just sit and never update so I read online that you could do a reset settings and it would fix the problem. Yesterday I synced my phone and today I went through and did the reset settings. It even said it wouldn't lose content or media. But once I restored it, they were gone. All contacts, apps, notes, etc are there, but over 400 pics and videos are gone. I even had icloud enabled and I thought they were streaming because it's on, but there are no photos or videos there either.

Jun 20, 2012I lost important notes while syncing my iPhone on my MacBook Pro. I have synced before, and know that the notes on my phone migrate to the MacBook Pro. If I want them back on the phone, I had to drag them back to the phone. So I synced notes and there was an option as to whether to keep or delete notes that were synced; I am quite sure that I chose, "keep." Now, I am unable to find those valuable notes on either device. Ouch. Can you help? Is there a backup type of place to recover them?

I do see that Pkgbackup was able somehow to sync with Gmail as if I go to my contacts in gmail I can see PkgBackup however everything I try does not work. Jun 19, 2012Running iMAC 27 , lion 10.7.4 and iTunes 10.6.3 with an iPad 2 and iphone. I can't sync contacts anymore for some time now.Either on the iPad or iPhone. Everything is checked properly in iTunes , and , actually, everything worked properly..Calendars , Mails sync perfectly but the Synchronisation simply bypasses the Contacts. The groups in Adress Book do not show in iTunes. In iTunes, the "advanced" menu, with "replace information on this iPhone" doesnt work either? Now, all my iphone contacts are deleted, and iTunes never replaced those informations with the computer ones. I ve tried many things found here, and no improvement. I think it s a bug, and unfortunately, Apple doesn t do anything to address it.
