May 13, 2012I signed up for iCloud on my iPhone and now all my contacts are gone, what the deal is with this? Anyway to get them back?

Apr 5, 2012I deleted my icloud account on my iphone and in doing so was asked if I wanted to delete the contact and calendars. I thought they were talking about the icloud account. But what I did not realize was they were talking about ALL contacts. I checked my desktop and all contact are deleted. How can I get my contact list back without paying apple support 29.00 with no promise of if I can get my list back.

Apr 5, 2012After that, I tried to sync my iphone contacts so my address book will have my contacts but instead of having contacts from my iphone, my iphone contacts were all erased and over-written to the no-contacts from the MacBook address book.
I have seen several threads on recovery via itunes backup but unfortunately, I do not have any backups due to the crashed hdd.

Feb 7, 2012I have updated my Nokia N8 to Nokia Belle with Nokia Updater for Mac but I cannot find contacts, sms and notes. All disappeared and unfortunately I don't have a backup. It is urgent and important. At the end of the update it was asking me if I wanted to import contacts from another Nokia phone, but as it wasn't the case, I bypassed that option. Surely I did something wrong but I really do hope that contacts, notes and sms are saved somewhere on my Mac.

Apr 15, 2012I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud.The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country.When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone.After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option.When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. I just don't know how to get it on the phone.

May 12, 2012If I create a new contact on my iphone and I am not connected to either wi-fi or the network, the new contact doesn't appear on the icloud sync, even after I then am near a wi-fi connection. (I tend to keep my network connectivity off because I have a very small data plan)
I have tried a manual backup from the iphone at the time I do get to my wi-fi. That still doesn't recognize the new contacts.
If I then edit the contact, maybe change one letter or number, it is then synced up.
PS: The phone contacts says 380 contacts. Sorry I can't capture that screen to upload it here.

Jul 2, 2012My icloud contacts started to get duplicate by itself, but the duplication of contacts were not seen on the icloud website as well as on my laptop. The main problem started when I deleted the duplicate contacts from my iphone icloud contacts list, contacts which I deleted were also deleted from my laptop & icloud website. Now I cannot see the deleted contacts on my iphone, laptop & icloud website. Jul 2, 2012I reset my iPhone 4s. I had backed it up to the computer, a Mac Book Pro. iCloud back up was on on the phone. Only a few of my phone contacts saved to the cloud. I didn't realize this until after the phone was reset. Apple said that they probably didn't all save because there wasn't enough icloud space. The genius bar has tried to help and tech support has also. No luck. One apple genius bar person said that they were gmail contacts and get them from gmail. I I can't find anything but my email addresses on my gmail account.
