I just signed up for SquareTrade because I refuse to use my new sleek iPhone 4 inside of an ugly case (short of a bumper). After seeing many glass breaks etc, I decided to sign up for Square Trade. It was $5.99 a month, and there is only a $50 deductable (vs paying Apple $199 or so).Anyone else do this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to add a self-signed https certificate for the iPhone? I use a self-signed cert for a webUI for uTorrent via stunnel. In iOS 3.0 it wasn't much a problem; it would kick up a warning but would let you continue. In iOS 4.0 it won't let me continue without adding the cert. apparently. I get a prompt saying that the "certificate for this server is invalid." I've tried going to the webUI url in Safari on my mac, viewing the cert. when prompted, and choosing to add it to my keychain and then syncing, but I still get the same prompt with no way to continue or add the cert. I've also tried emailing my self the .cer file and adding it on my iPhone, but it still does not work.Edit: I've found the profile on my iPhone for the cert. I added, but shows it as "Untrusted".

I created a profile for my company that was signed and it shows"expires: September 23, 2012". So my question is this... what will it do when it hits Sept 24th?
a) nothing
b) still work on the device, but cant be installed on new devices becuase its "expired"
c) wont work on existign devices and cant be used on new ones
My itunes identity, and apple store identity, on the comuter lists my new email adress. However, even after syncing, the iphone lists my username as my old email address. How do I get the iphone to use my new email for itunes and apple identity?

View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading from gb to ics I am having problems decrypting digitally signed email in Exchange. I had a similar problem in gb but it only effected the attachements. Now I can't read the message in addition to the attachments.
I have *.cer, *.crt, and *.p7b files for certificates, but the exchange client on the Atrix 2 doesn't seem to accept them (looks like it only accepts *.p12 and *.pfx). I did manage to add the *.crt files to the credential storage storage section in the main settings window, but that doesn't seem to help with the exchange client.

(no paperclip symbol). Now this is speaking from a DEVELOPER point of view. Would you like to see iPhone exclusivity stop? To me, yes, obviously, because this means the App Store can be in more hands, and my apps can have a MUCH larger audience. Yes I know there is a lot of market share already, but look at VZW, T-Mob etc and if we got their eyes on our apps. you should be able to fill in the rest. What do you think from a developer point of view?

Pre-authorization does not guarantee iPhone availability at an Apple Retail Store. iPhone is sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Your reservation is valid for pick-up only at the Apple Retail Store that you selected. If you do not collect your selected item on the specified date, your reservation will be cancelled and the item will be returned to stock.
My dilema is it's going to take me 2+ hours and lots of expense to get to the store on the 24th, the last thing I want to do is turn up at lunch time (about when i'd finally arrive) to find out they've sold mine / sold out.
