Jun 26, 2010I just signed up for SquareTrade because I refuse to use my new sleek iPhone 4 inside of an ugly case (short of a bumper). After seeing many glass breaks etc, I decided to sign up for Square Trade. It was $5.99 a month, and there is only a $50 deductable (vs paying Apple $199 or so).Anyone else do this?

Jul 18, 2010Sitting here waiting for iP4 to be released in Sweden and thinking, is it worth buying an extra insurance for your phone? Since hearing several stories and people dropping their phones and getting cracks in the glass, which isn't really that surprising, I think that getting an extra insurance for iP4 is a good idea. But then of course...Usually they'll run you like $70/year and maybe around $200 in excess fee...
How much does it cost to switch out/repair the back glass of an iP4? If it's below $200 there's really no use in getting an extra insurance. It's the back glass that I'm worried about, nothing else really...

Apr 30, 2012My iPhone stolen, there is a police report, called at&t and line suspended not one offer or even a suggestion to use a replacement, operator didn't give any info on how to replace or what steps are needed to get a new phone, paid for warranty and insurance on day I purchased iPhone 4s out on market for 3 dys. I feel they are avoiding my concerns and I've been transfer to every department that has not one person with knowledge or specific instructions for me to take care of the matter, does anyone know the proper procedure so I'm able to have a iPhone back?. Its only my line since Im on a family plan so I would have to get my own service and was wondering does anyone have the basic service? I would get the $40 voice plan, $15 data, and $5 texting so thats $60 but after taxes does anyone know how much that is? My dad would also get 25% off the plan for working at the post office so does anyone know if that is before or after the taxes?

Jul 4, 2010I'm still on 3G on 3.1.2 with BenM.at AT&T profile, so i can tether. My question is would it be possible to upgrade/unlock to iPhone 4.0 and then able to tether without having to pay extra to AT&T by installing old fashion way? (3.0 to 3.1.3).
i don't tether often, but it comes in handy every now and then like when you go on a vacation, etc. i also noticed with 4.0, the T-mobile users are using cydia to get MMS/Tethering work for them. any chance that will work will AT&T too? and YES i know about MyWi, but im trying to avoid the $20 fee =/ and I've also read that you can download the MyWi and deleting trick, but that would require you to download MyWi again every now and then i believe.

- 250 anytime minutes
- unlimited calling/text to any 5 numbers nationally
- free weekends/evenings after 5pm
- 500mb data
- voicemail
- call display
- 30 texts per month
I'm wondering a) if this sounds reasonable, and b) how much other iPhone users are paying for their plans.

Jun 2, 2010I'm almost 100% certain that my parents will buy me an iPhone. My parents and I are currently with T-Mobile and will switch for the iPhone 4G/HD/whatever it's called. But I was browsing around AT&T's site and it seems you need to pay $30 for each iPhone's data plan on a family plan. Basically, if I wanted 3 iPhones in one family plan, then I would have to pay $90 a month for the data plan for all 3. Is this true?

I got an 4s and was able to download apps since I have bought it. I entered my boyfriends VISA card details as a payment method and we tried to buy an app for a joke even though there was no money in his account at the time. Now i can't download any Apps at all when i try to do so it asks me to enter my apple id password as usual which i do then another pop up comes up saying: Sign in Required:Tap Continue and sign in to view billing information. Even though the apps im trying to download are free?.
I dont have any other account details to give as Apple wont accept Laser card.. Can anybody please enlighten me as to what is going on.. its such a bloody complicated process!!!

Apr 24, 2012I'm completely baffled by the fact that Apple actually in ways punish you for not having a credit card. I only have a barclays VISA debit card, and as a result when I try and complete the self service apple support & repair form, I go to put a hold on the debit card for the amount shown, (£16) and apple won't accept the card. Apparently 'Debit and check cards have daily spending limits which could substantially delay your order. Using a credit card ensures that your order will be processed as soon as possible.'However, Apple are more than happy to take my money from my debit card when I buy apps, movies music etc.Is there anyway that I can actually work around this without going into my local store - (lack of time, and it's miles away)
