I just bought a bnokia x6 on contract with 02. I want to add music to my phone. Firstly i got the ovi player. I signed up to an accunt and then my phone will not register. I have chosen media transfer mode. The i installed to the nokiapc suite which rsyne my contacts but wld not sync music. I bought this song 4 music so this is a bbig problem
View 4 RepliesBrought 5230 which is surposed to come with music for 12 months. Tried to register with the latest version ovi player on the pc however when I type in the code the page will not respond.Emailed Nokia who confirm the code is valid and suggest making sure its connected to the internet (duh), use the latest version ovi player, clear the browser, reinstall ovi player, consult the website or follow the site instructions.Strangely none of these make a difference. Haven't rung them yet as the don't say what that will cost.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.

I wanted to put music on my phone so i went out and bought a micro sd card and tried to load music onto it using a usb to connect to my phone. I've tried literally just about everything. I switched over to USB Mass Storage mode and created a music folder and etc, etc,. But even after i put a couple of songs on the thing my phone still says there's nothing there. I also tried doing the Nokia Ovi Suite thing and apparently my phone model isn't compatible with it. I'm completely surprised by the lack of support from the manufacturing website.

Also, Ovi doen't delete my music on my Nokia N8 phone (I thought maybe that will enable sync option again?) I press delete it opens up the thing where it says it is deleting and then when I refresh all my music just comes back!

Send report...blah blah blah. Okay... so this didn't work. However one feature I'd love to see (and I'm hoping exists) is the ability to not just play music from your Onedrive folder (which some apps can already do) but have a music folder that syncs to your phone and physically downloads whatever is in that folder to your phone's music folder. At this stage my music folder is linked on all my PCs but when I want to update my phone (to play in my car when reception isn't available) I still have to physically find and connect a cable. It's not a major annoyance but it'd be far more seamless if done over the wifi etc.

However every time I try to sync the new songs to my phone, I either get the message 'Operation Failed: unable to copy tracks', or my phone turns off and restarts itself...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem on my G920T that's been bugging me for a while. After flashing a custom ROM, my EFS was messed up. I had backed it up prior to any custom ROMs. All works well n the phone except whenever it's rebooted it fails to register to T-Mobile's network.
So I have to bring up the dialer, type in *#2263# and choose Band Selection, then LTE, then LTE All (which is already asterisked) and tap it again. Only then will it register on the network and then works fine. I've tried everything under the sun including restoring EFS backup, flashing back to stock, etc., to no avail.
Any script that automatically runs the above process after reboot. I don't know enough to do so, and I'm not sure one exists.
I have an unlocked device originally from T-mobile and now I am in Barbados and the phone will not register on Cable and Wirless' (LIME) 3G network. Even when I do a manual scan it is only showing up Digicel. In reading online it seems that T-Mobile uses different bands for their 3G than some of the other providers. Is there a way to change it? I have seen mention of changing the vendor ID as the bands maybe dictated by software but I have not found anyone that was successful in doing this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne major issue that has disaapointed me about my Xperia Ray since purchase is the "touch experience".So many times the phone simply does not register my touches and I find myself poking repeatedly at the same place. Now whats funny is that it does not seem like an outright case of attenuated sensitivity or something because at times the touch registers and at times it simply does not until you retry once or twice or so. On the other hand, the touch sensitive buttons at the bottom never seem to miss a touch. And when they its because I'v not touched them in the exact location due to the absence of backlighting.
But yes, the overall sensitivity of the screen does seem to be a noticibaly lower than other devices I'v used. And I'm not accounting for the missed touches when I say that.

I sold my iphone because it broke. I now have a new phone that is not a AT&T phone and want to use it in place of my iphone. However it still has the data plan activated and will not let me change it on my account online.Can I change away from my data plan since I will no longer need it? It appears some people in the thread below were able to get rid of their data plan and still use their iphone. I dont want to use the iphone anymore but can I do this as well? What will i need to do this? Do I need a AT&T branded phone to register first?

Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia N8. I use the Nokia Suite software to exchange data with my computer. It has a Sync function for Contacts, Messages, Pictures etc. But there is no Sync for Music.
I know that I can just copy my music to the phone using Windows Explorer. But I think that it would be more convinient to Sync automatically. So if I change my ID3 tags or if I add new music to my computer, these changes would copied to the phone automatically.
