I updated to version 3.0.0.284, and there is no option to sync music! Is this intentional?
Also, Ovi doen't delete my music on my Nokia N8 phone (I thought maybe that will enable sync option again?) I press delete it opens up the thing where it says it is deleting and then when I refresh all my music just comes back!
I have a Nokia N8. I use the Nokia Suite software to exchange data with my computer. It has a Sync function for Contacts, Messages, Pictures etc. But there is no Sync for Music.
I know that I can just copy my music to the phone using Windows Explorer. But I think that it would be more convinient to Sync automatically. So if I change my ID3 tags or if I add new music to my computer, these changes would copied to the phone automatically.
#1-i have ringtones and test music files that appear in my music files and i dont know where they come from. #2-I also have voice files for maps in my music files. ironically though, the voice files are not working with maps....i want to remove them from my playlist but they are not showing up in the ovi suite?

How can I re-install music player in phone to get that option? I have lots of music in phone, but it cannot find anything. Everytime when I open Music Player, it search for music, then says nothing found.

If I go in the Music Library, in the Options menu I have:Go to Now playing Go to Music store Music Library Details I've just synched my phone with iTunes by using Nokia Multimedia Transfer, and the files have been copied on my memory card under Sound filesiTunes Music and they play correctly from the file manager, but there's not way to "see" them in the Music Library. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.

I wanted to put music on my phone so i went out and bought a micro sd card and tried to load music onto it using a usb to connect to my phone. I've tried literally just about everything. I switched over to USB Mass Storage mode and created a music folder and etc, etc,. But even after i put a couple of songs on the thing my phone still says there's nothing there. I also tried doing the Nokia Ovi Suite thing and apparently my phone model isn't compatible with it. I'm completely surprised by the lack of support from the manufacturing website.

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?. The phone automatically makes a folder named "Ovi Music Downloads" in the memory card. It should be created in the mass memory.

Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).
I am using lumia 710 brought from nokia priority in amravati district in maharashtra(india)... I updated to tango some 1 month back and registered to nokia music...initially i was able to download the mixes but downloading songs from store was showing some error... Then one day i saw an update for nokia music in marketplace, and after the update the option of store and my mix had disappeared from the app... There is same problem with nearly everyone in my friends who had updated to new version present in marketplace.

Has around 365 songs in it now but when i add new ones it doesn't see them.Have tried refresh, trashed the databases etc. Reformated the card and loaded them back bit by bit and that worked and then added 9 new ones - that worked. Played it this morning for a few hours and tried to ad some more. Doesn't see them in the refresh. Card is a Sandisk 4gb - should be good - no bad sectors etc

Then record something, then select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery'
No mp4 files (the format 'high' is recorded in) are shown. Yet it's fine if you set Recording quality to 'Standard' (WAV) or ' MMS compatible' (AMR).
I recently purchased a Nokia 5310 Xpress Music about a week ago. It is a great phone, but the problem I am experiencing has to with the memory card. When I try to format it, I select "Options" while "Memory Card" is highlighted but I do not have the option of formatting it. Is there something wrong with my phone? Currently, my phone is V 06.68, which I am assuming is the latest version, since I have the Nokia Ovi Suite installed, and when I select "Update", it says I have the latest version.

I've just downloaded some songs from the Ovi Player Store with the voucher I was given from the phone; they downloaded and play on the Ovi player fine. However every time I try to sync the new songs to my phone, I either get the message 'Operation Failed: unable to copy tracks', or my phone turns off and restarts itself...
I have added music to my phone before and that worked fine but doesn't seem to be working this time. Any ideas on what is wrong or am I making a visit to the shop?
I thought it would be a good idea to sync my music via the Blackberry desktop program. however since i have done this my torch does not like it when i want to make a playlist from the music on my media card. I want my device to unsync, which i have tried to do many times via the desktop program and even tried to select "forget this device"
I want my torch to forget my "home" music and not at all have the option to sync music via wifi or anything! I used to be able to easily make playlist from music on my SD media card but now it won't let me...

Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
