Apr 7, 2010I bought a Nokia 5230 yesterday and I'm already experiencing an annoying problem.I told people on Facebook to text me their name so I could just put them into Contacts which I then did. But their names doesn't show in Inbox, only their phone numbers. What the **bleep**?I somehow added a friend of mine which IS showing, but I did that manually. I then tried adding some of the others manually with no result - still showing only their numbers.Whats wrong?

Apr 5, 2012After that, I tried to sync my iphone contacts so my address book will have my contacts but instead of having contacts from my iphone, my iphone contacts were all erased and over-written to the no-contacts from the MacBook address book.
I have seen several threads on recovery via itunes backup but unfortunately, I do not have any backups due to the crashed hdd.

IPhone 5s Keeps Changing Contact Names
Sep 10, 2014I've had my phone for about 5 months now and everything's been fine. But a couple weeks ago, I tried to change some of my contacts' names by adding emojis or changing their full names to nicknames I like to call them. About 30 seconds after changing one of them, I saw it change back to what it originally was as soon as I opened my messages, so I went back to my contacts list and saw that all of the ones I had changed went back to what they were before.Â
The problem now has gotten worse, seeing as whenever I try to change someone's contact name or add a new contact and put some emojis to their name, a minute later the emojis will be completely cleared out of the name or if it was an old contact, it will change to something totally random(the emojis could just change to some different emojis, or the name will change back to what it was before, or if I had 3 emojis the last 2 will be deleted etc.). This is also extremely annoying because when it randomly decides to change back to what it was before, things like their contact picture will just randomly change to an old one or just clear out overall. It's also really weird cuz when I pull down to "iPhone search" on my home screen and try to look my contacts up, some of their names will appear as what I tried to change it to but then in my contact list be completely different.Â
I've tried everything from restarting my phone to deleting the contacts and recreating them (still takes off the emojis or some other weird stuff) It's just really annoying cuz I have some contacts with the same names & need to be able to differentiate themp.

Apr 16, 2012I used to have an Iphone 4 32GB and I don't have issue on saving any contact info that I type in. Then after I upgraded to the new Iphone 4S-64gb and have my contacts transferred to my new iphone by the Apple salesperson. I am now unable to save any contact info to my new iphone 4S. I tried reformating my iphone and did a restore from my computer using Itune back to my iphone, and it let me save my new contact but after a while, it will not save any contact at all, even though I have plenty of available space on my iphone.I have called apple tech and was advised to have it replace from AT&T store, which I did, so I have the new replacement Iphone 4S -64GB. at first it seems to work fine but lately, it will not let me save any contact info whenever I tried doing it. it just won't save it no matter what I do? Ifor it is very annoying not to be able to save new contacts.

Apr 24, 2012As I was scrolling through my recent messages my iPhone 3GS suddenly removed all the contact names from the list of messages and replaced them with their corresponding phone numbers. All I was doing was scrolling through the message list... no settings were changed. After this happened I checked my contacts list, and everything appears to be intact there. However, my phone app also no longer shows the contact name, but just the phone number. Turning the device off then on did nothing. BB Bold 9700 :: After Battery Pull / Recently Added Contact Details Are Erased
Feb 27, 2010I'm a Blackberry 9700 (onyx) user. I have few problems that I would like to share. Please help me solving them if you happen to know the solutions.
1. Once every 4 or 5 days, my 9700 always gets frozen. Does it happen because I never reboot it?
2. And, everytime I do reboot or battery pull, the recently added contact details are erased from my contact list. But, recent SMS, emails, or BBM conversation are not erased at all.
3. When I open the contact list, it only shows one contact name (it seems like all other contact names are erased). Then, when I type any alphabet key, the contact list appears. But, still the recently added contact details (mentioned on problem 2 above) are missing.
Is it because I never update my platform version? I'm currently using version 5.1.0.91 and the BBM is the 5.0.0.330 version.
