View 5 Replies View RelatedI am now approx 3 weeks into my 2nd XRPT handset as the first one was replaced because we (Sprint techs & the braintrust here) couldn't figure out why it seemed like my CPU was hogged and the task manager came on frequently (see thread Task Manager Alert >98% Frequently)).My new handset seems to reboot without being prompted 2-3x/week and I haven't been able to identify a pattern. My best guess is it happens when I'm switching between corporate sync emails and text messages or calendar and then asking the phone to answer or place a call. This is especially brutal when that call can't be answered and you have to wait 2-3 minutes for the phone to reboot & connect to the network.Took my phone out of the holster to see black screen w/ white words that read:
-Boot Loader 4.00
-Battery OK
-OK to program
-Connect USB
-Data cable
I couldn't get the phone to turn off and reboot.Pulled the battery and rebooted it, now the home screen (when locked) says "Sprint | No SIM Card" above the time. The SIM card was in (never removed it).I then pulled the battery and SIM card out and rebooted it again and the "No SIM Card" message is gone.
Is there a way to adjust/add to the auto-correct dictionary for the physical keyboard of the XPRT? On my SOLD BB9650, this was done the first time I picked up the phone. Now, I can't. This phone (while waiting for Gingerbread), would be THE BEST, if it could fix this little problem...
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat are the plans for future software updates for XPRT?Is Gingerbread going to be the last one? Any chance for 4.x?Because, see, as of today XPRT is lagging behind for like a year on Android updates. It was released (June 6, 2011) with outdated FroYo (released May 20, 2010).Now, if stars align, we'll get GB 2.3.5 update (released July 25, 2011) hopefully in August '12.And that also means that phone that's been out only for a year is already 2 major Android versions behind current one.

View 15 Replies View RelatedBought this peice of garbage Boost Rambler which worked 48 hours before going belly up, got it fixed (maybe, haven't been able to try it), now Boost won't allow it to be reactivated. That's a Boost problem. Selling a defective phone is a Motorola problem. A quality company would stand behind their purchasers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOkay, I send a friend of mine some pictures I took with my unlocked Omnia i910 and they tried to set them as wallpaper on their i465 Boost mobile phone, but when they press the menu button there is no option to set as wallpaper like with the pictures that were taken with their phones camera.I didn't know if there is a hack or unlocking method to undo this restriction that Boost put on their phones, I will be the one doing this, so that is why I am posting and not them.
I have unlocked and modded several phone before, did a google search on the i465 and only found pay sites, which is not what I want since I did pay one site 9.99 for the unlock code in the past and their code screwed up my phone.
ive had this phone for a couple weeks, its not as great as my droid 1 but i cant complain its a kool phone, my problem is the volume for music, i thought it was my headphones so i went out n bought some sony $79.99 headphones n they sounds amazing, but the volume is low!
ive tried all the volume boost programs but none work, my music player "player pro" has a EQ that i can raise the DB it helps but i know it can go higher, because i tried to download a program called "Volume boost" installed it does nothing but for some reason i changed it downloaded as ZIP format and when i extracted it from "androidzip" as soon as it was done the volume BLASTED my headphones it was amazing, but when im done listening to music and listen hours later or somthing its back down, so i have to keep extracting the zip, somtimes it works and somtimes it doesnt but i do DEFINATLY know that the volume can infact go up higher, program that works when wanted?
secret hidden volume setting tthru dial pad?? *#*344656444*#* something?
Everytime i try to access the openwave browser, it says security error, key not recognized. how can i fix this? Boost tech support was no help. i have no problem browsing with bolt or opera just the built in openwave browser.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have Motorola phones on Boost mobile. Mine's the i335, and hers is the i296. We both have an identical issue, which is that missed calls with no caller ID details aren't displayed in the recent calls list -- as soon as the popup showing a missed call has been acknowledged, it's effectively as if the call simply never happened. Every other phone I've ever owned -- including Motorolas -- has shown these calls as "Unknown" in the recent calls list.
Is there something we're missing (perhaps a setting that would fix this issue), or is this the standard behaviour for these models?
I HAVE BOUGHT A MOTORLA XPRT A MONTH AGO AND I ADDED THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT TO IT A WEEK LATER. FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. MY PHONE KEEPS TURNING OFF IN 4-5 HOURS AND IT IS SAYING IT IS DEAD. AND ALSO MY PHONE GETS HOT AT THE TOP OF THE PHONE, THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE STAYS COOL.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.

I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
I'm looking for samo app for calls recording

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan anyone explain how to get contacts from a non-Motorola phone into the XPRT so that they show up when the blue contacts button is selected and appear in the phone's phone book, as well as FB, Twitter? When my daughter first started up the phone they were there, but then disappeared and are now not showing the FB and Twitter contacts. Based on other similar questions, it appears that this is a reoccuring issue that hopefully Motorola has addressed.
