Since yesterday all of a sudden my battery started draining like crazy, 100% to 40% in 2 hours. Battery manager shows com.motorola.service.main taking 60% battery.what is this process and why it is taking too much of battery?
View 3 RepliesMy Atrix has the latest update applied and has started recently showing the following error message:"com.motorola.service.main had stopped unexpectedly" Touching ok returns to the home screen for 1 second and the error reappears. This makes the phone unusable.I have performed a factory reset and the error was away for 24 hrs but now it has reappeared.

View 5 Replies View RelatedFor the last couple days, I haven't been able to get more than around 4 hours from a full charge. The battery usage tool lists "Media" as the major culprit. I'm also getting frequent notifications of high CPU utilization from the task manager tool, though nothing interesting shows up in the task manager application list. (Maybe the "Media" service doesn't get shown there?) I recently upgraded to 2.3.6, but things seemed fine for the first few days, so I don't know if this is related.
I think I might have caused the issue when I removed a few mp3 music folders from my SD card using the Astro File manager. (For some reason the stock file manager would hang on trying to remove them, even though they weren't in use.) That seems to be roughly when the battery drain issues started. Also, I currently can't open the "Music" or "Gallery" applications - they just hang and eventually I get the force close option. I've rebooted multiple times, but this doesn't go away.
I'm getting the following error when trying to check corporate sync emails :"The process com.motorola.service.main has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I've tried again and I still get an error. I've tried rebooting and I still get an error. Yahoo and Gmail are fine.I also get this error when I try to amend the settings in Accounts:"The application Email authenticator (process com.motorola.provider.authenticator) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."There are loads of posts of this topic for all Motorola Android phones (this is the first discussion for Motorola Razr) - none of them have a decent solution!

There are times I will hit the power button and I can count off one thousand one, one thousand two, up to one thousand six before the screen will light up and then it lights up for just a second and then it goes dark like it has timed out because of inactivity.It is a real wonderful feature when I am showing off my state of the art, top of the line, Android Flagship Motorola phone to people.It does this regularly if I have not used the phone for more than an hour or so and sometimes it will happen sporadically during periods where I check the phone every few minutes, like when I am expecting important emails.
I did a factory reset and removed all of the factory bloatware apps and updated my phone so that it is current on .83.I did not put any apps onto the phone, I left it alone, just set up my accounts.And the phone still has the problem with the long wake cycles.So I went ahead and put my apps back on my phone.Oh, and I tried with and without the SD card in the phone as well. Checking all possible variables.So does anyone else enjoy such long awakening cycles or am I the lucky one here? Does my Atrix need to go on permanent vacation at the AT&T store while I acquire a replacement? Or is this the nature of all Android devices and I should just suck it up?
I got a Motorola Atrix 4G from the states. I brought the phone to the middle east and tryed to set up the phone. But when i try to link up my moto blur account i get a message that says that "moto blur service is not available right now try latter" and i think that its due to my ip address.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe dreaded fast battery drain finally starting happening to me the past couple of days. Last night I checked the battery usage and noticed something called 'RILD' was using up 14% of my battery life. What is it? Can you get rid of it? Why was it appearing last night but today after power cycling my phone it's no longer on the list of battery uses?
In addition I noticed that it seems to be taking much longer to charge my battery now than it did before. My car charger seems to be ineffective at charging even though it appears to be working correctly. The light on the charger is lighting up and my phone's indicator is showing it as being charged. But after 30 minutes of charging it hasn't budged the battery meter one iota.
This isn't really a question but just my 2 cents on the battery life. From day one I haven't been impressed but after this last update seems battery is really being ate up. Phone didn't make it to noon today. Don't get me wrong I love this phone ICS, big screen, and features are great but I just can't live with being tethered to a power supply all day.

Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged.Replace the battery with an original Motorola battery."I have the original Motorola Atrix battery that it came with originally. Problem occured out of nowhere. I found tools to get me to the screens to make the changes, but they do not stick. I am not ready to root my phone. 3G or 2G for vocie is plenty clear enough for me.
I know there are other ways to save battery power, but would like to step down a G or two.
Usually I unplug my phone in the morning. I use it for listening to music, a little bit of browsing and email. However lately it barely makes it until the evening. After approximately 12 hours the battery is almost dead and phone idle is the worst consumer by far (like 40-50%). Is that normal?

Battery and Data Manager shows that Zombieville % power used increases, but when I start Advanced Task Manager or Android Asssistant, neither of them shows the Zombieville process running. When I look using Manage Apps, the Force Stop button is greyed out. The only way to stop it is to shut down my Atrix 2.

Unfortunately, since then my other two (good quality) batteries also deplete very quickly... so I think the battery indicator has become inaccurate.

Last week or two my phone battery has been draining much faster. Also the phone gets very hot, bot not where the battery is but below the battery.
