Motorola Atrix 2 :: Zombieville USA Drains Battery
Jun 20, 2012
Pretty obvious if I'm playing it, but this happens after I quit the game. Battery and Data Manager shows that Zombieville % power used increases, but when I start Advanced Task Manager or Android Asssistant, neither of them shows the Zombieville process running. When I look using Manage Apps, the Force Stop button is greyed out. The only way to stop it is to shut down my Atrix 2.
Last week or two my phone battery has been draining much faster. Also the phone gets very hot, bot not where the battery is but below the battery. Also last few weeks many apps have grown more and more sluggish. This phone is so problemattic. I have done two previous factory resets in last 12 months
I don't need my Motoactv on all the time, especially when I am sleeping, so rather than having to charge it every few days when it's on, I decided to shut it down. I held down the power button and chose to POWER OFF. That was last night around 1AM. Today, around 7PM, I held power to turn it on but it wouldn't. I kept trying to no avail. Finally, I plugged in a USB charging cable and it slowly came to life. At this point, the white charging light refused to come on (normally it's on right away).
id like to buy one of those over 3000mah batteries for my atrix 2 , but where i live i can only find this batteries for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.
I use my xperia pro 4 months with good battery performance, after installing several programs to improve de battery consumption, the battery last only 3 hours. I noted that even when de phone is off the battery drains from 100% to 0. I noted that the phone is making some operation because the zone upper the battery is medium warm after several hours y put off. I maked a total reset of the phone to the factory settings. I have taked the battery from the phone several minutes, the sd card and the operator chip, but the problem remain.
i got a iphone 4s with sprint. everything was working just fine and up to now it is still working great however i noticed the phone gets very hot and warm even when not in use .
what can i do to fix this ? should i restore it ? if so do i restore it directly from the iphone "Erase all content and settings"
or do i restore it from itunes? or should i skip the restore and take it to the apple store?
I had my X8 since Feb and got couple apps (stats of, quick settings) that improved its battery life to 3-4 days. However few wks ago after I've done some stadard updates to the alrd existing apps it started draining the battery. From time to time, after full charge, it may last 2 days but generaly 24h is a max My mobile data and wifi are usualy off and I just use it for txt'ing and short calls...Display, screen time out, sound etc are at they lowest... no automatic updates... Don't know what else could cause such a massive change. I've probably used it more for other stuff (browsing, mp3, gaming) before and it still lasted 3 days.
I upgraded my firmware on my 5800 to V50 2 days ago. Everything seemed to work fine.Yesterday I noticed the battery getting very hot for a few hours. I wasn't doing anything particularly intensive - I was surfing with Opera, doing some uploading of pictures to OVI - stuff that I quite often do without any battery problems. Overnight the battery had drained and was empty.I'm sure I did not leave any applications running overnight. The battery was fully charged before I went to bed. It's now charging, and seems to be functioning OK.Of course I don't know for sure that the firmware update is the reason for the rapid draining of the battery, or the earlier overheating. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I really want to JB my ip4, but Ive read it drains way more battery. Im just wondering if some of you could let me know how much of a difference if any you have seen on your battery since JB. I really only want to run T-lert, SBS-settings, lock info, activator, & pdanet.
Also back on my 3g i purchased Lock Info, though Im not sure how I can transfer over my puchase to my ip4 without having to pay for it again, I believe i bought it from cyndia, but i really cant remember. I would rather not open ssh, so what should i do?
When I leave it on standby for 8h I notice that it uses 40% of the battery even-though wifi and Bluetooth are off. How come? One time I left for 2-3h. Bluetooth and wifi on and even-though Bluetooth wasn't used (only gets through when a call comes in while I'm driving) and the internet just a little bit it used almost 50% by the time I was back. I'm pretty sure thats not normal.I wonder if the battery doctor app will do any improvement to that.
I upgraded my BlackBerry 9900 Bold to OS 7.1.0.694. After this update, the battery drains in a few hours. Before upgrading, Iused 2g network because the battery lasted longer. In this version can not switch networks, is always on 3G. The device heats a lot.
My battery seems to drain after i try to seach from something on the internet. I can have a full battery and in the middle of a search it will shut off and restart. when it turns back on i have no battery and the radio is off. i dont know if i should just try a new battery or a setting problem.
I've had a BB Curve 9360 (I think!) for just over a year and in the last few months it has started to get really hot and run the battery down really quick. I charge it up over night every night and before lunch time it has drained completely without even using it except to maybe send the odd txt msg or check the time. I have checked that every application is closed down, turned off my WIFI and sometimes even my phone service but it seems to have no effect. It doesn't always do this it used to be once every couple of weeks and now it's more like every other day.
My blackberry restarts itself and drains the battery and I was wondering if there was a way to fix it without having to wipe the memory of my blackberry to do so?
For several times I have now noticed that once I come back to my home country after roaming , my mobile behaves as if it is still roaming - in the sense that battery keeps getting drained constantly and does not even last like 4 hours. I am given to understand that while roaming it is a common phenomenon for bateery to behave like that but why once I am back? The problem also rectifies itself after several days for no known reason! Is this a issue other have faced and how to over come this?
I got a task killer , thking it would help. but I barely see a diffrence. This is my first smart phone, maybe its all smart phones that the battery drains really fast.Any tips or anything I could do to make it last longer ...!?
I kept tracking the problem, the problem persists only in the following case, if cellular data is on with no dataplan registered. If dataplan is activated the problem disappears?
All of a sudden my iPhone 4s won't hold a charge. Without use the entire battery is gone in 4 hours. The phone is one month old and had been working fine until two days ago. I have seen the suggestion to wipe it clean and start over. Is that necessary?
I have a 3GS IPhone on 5.0.1. It's been working well for several months, no issues. This past weekend I dropped the phone, but luckly there was no physical damage, and it seemed to work fine afterward. But I noticed that it started to drain the batter much faster than it had before that. I go from 100% down to zero in about 6 hours just by having it sit in my pocket locked. It's also noticably hotter than before.
My iphone 4s is only a few months old. After I updated the latest software update I noticed my battery drains down to red every day. This has never happened. My local ATT store said to minimize all the programs on the bottom of the screen. I've never had to do that before so I can't imagine that's the problem?
i have a blackberry torch 9800 and recently got a swap because my old blackberry torch 9800 broke but now im having a new problem, and this is the battery. The battery drains in roughly four hours? My light is on as dark as it will go and it dims i the shortest of times. Every thing is off but it still manages to drain, i have barely any applications and i have tried four chargers in different plugs. The battery is just draining so quickly is there anyway that i can slow this down?
Two weeks ago I started having problems with my battery. I would charge it overnight and then in the morning I would try to do something basic like checking my email, making a phone call, etc. and my battery would die...so badly that the phone would shut down. I tried to rectify this problem, thinking that it was the battery so I removed the battery from my older curve and placed it in the new phone. That was unsuccessful. I went for a couple of days by just constantly plugging in my phone whenever I needed to use it. In any case, the night before I went to the sprint store for service, I uninstalled all user apps thinking that it may just me an app that I downloaded that is draining my battery. Not only did I have the same problem, but then after that I lost all internet connections meaning that in the top right corner of my phone I had NO bars and only a big X. I could still make calls and receive calls and texts. I spoke to a customer service tech who then after a series of trials decided that my phone was just dead. I received just today a refurbished blackberry curve of the same type and guess what? Same problem...phone battery dead. It happened right after I reinstalled Pandora, Blackberry Messenger, and Facebook. Could one of these apps be killing my phone?
I keep most of my apps closed, don't send messages, rarely talk on the phone, don't play games or watch videos, don't even listen to music, have set most of my apps not to refresh in the background (maybe I don't need a phone?) and my battery drops to 30% in 8 hours after being charged all night. This is new behavior, so I'm not sure what to else to do.
