Galaxy S5 :: Why Won't Phone Ring For Incoming Calls
Sep 16, 2015All of a sudden, I see voicemails on my phone but the S5 will not ring when someone calls. I have the volume up.

Google Nexus 5 :: Can't Answer Incoming Calls - Phone Continues To Ring
Nov 12, 2013This is happening often. When I have an incoming call the call screen appears and phone rings. I go to answer by dragging the icon to the green answer icon and nothing happens. The phone continues to ring. Trying to drag to the red ignore call icon has the same result. Eventually the caller gets sent to voicemail, but the phone remains locked in this state and needs to be rebooted before it is operational again. I thought it was related to teh phone being in a lockscreen state, but it now appears to be random. I have contacted Google and they said they have not heard of this issue before. Essentially it is unusuable as a phone.

Jul 29, 2015I run a business from my personal phone. I have people calling in a few times a day to order products, but I also text on it all day. I keep it on silent because I text alot and I don't want it to drain my battery and be annoying all day on ringer or vibrate. How could I set it to be silent for text messages, and ring for phone calls?

Apr 24, 2012I have checked the side button and that's not the problem. I get no sounds with incomming calls or when i receive texts or emails. My phone does vibrate. There is sound when music is playing. I've check all of the settings in 'calls' and 'phone'.

Apr 24, 2011I am a new EVO user. I previously had a Blackberry and it had a Vibrate then Ring function on it, which allowed me to catch calls before the ringer kicked in. This was a great feature. I am not able set my phone to be on vibrate at certain times, as my schedule is not a set routine. I have looked for apps that would allow me to do this, without any luck. Someone suggested creating a ringtone and leave silence in the beginning, but all of the "custom ringtone apps" that I have tried, cannot do this.

BTW, it seems like people with software/firmware 039 has more issues with their phones, such as flickering and random reboot.

Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. Oct 28, 2012I have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at �1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages.It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?

Feb 14, 2015When I get a call the following things are happening: My phone will NOT ring, it will not show up as a missed call in the call logs, and lastly the only way I even know I received the call is if the caller leaves a voicemail. This all started about 3 weeks ago and was not doing this when I first activated the phone in December 2014. This is unacceptable and cannot continue to happen because I use this phone for business and personal use.
I want to make it clear that this does not happen with every phone call I receive. What I can do to stop it.
