I've had my torch for 5 days and all was going well until today. Phone kept turning off and freezing up. Called support and they told me to get a new phone. Has anyone else found this to be a recurring problem?
View 14 RepliesMy phone just started acting up when I try to use my camera. Everytime y try using my camera my phone reboots itself.
I have kept my phone up to date with updates and I have been taking good care of it.
I've already ruled out:
-Water damage (has never been wet or near water whatsoever
-Phone software version (have tried downgrading to multiple versions and upgrading to latest)
-Restore to security copies made when camera worked
I am looking for a new mobile phone on o2 pay as you go. I want it to have a good MP camera with flash,good memory,video,radio,mp3 player,internet & Bluetooth.I have got my eye on the Nokia 6700 Classic but i have heard that it turns its self off & freezes. Alot of people dont like the headphones that comes with it but i think i can live with them other than that i have read good reviews.If anyone has got a Nokia 6700 Classic it would be great for your replys as i want to be sure befor i get it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIt turns off whenever I try to use the browser or the camera without fail and other random times. In these instances, it doesn't not show a battery drained shutting down warning. It has to be charging in order for it to reboot, but once it does the battery reads that it is 100% charged. Being on a phone call will drain a full battery in less than 5 mins, and it will flash the empty battery and say radio too low for handset use or whatever. In this case, I can charge it and it goes through the usual process where the light turns yellow and the bar slowly fills up. If I do a battery pull at this time, it restarts fully charged. The time it lasts out of the wall is anywhere from 5 mins-1 hour. I have no 3rd party applications and I did a complete device reset last month due to the same problems. I don't know much about software, but it says everything is up to date.

Also when I open the unread message it doesn't view the most recent message received. It always shows about 20 message above the recent message. Does anyone else have this issue?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a bb torch 9800 .my keyboard doesn't work anymore.that means I can't answer any call,I can't login or logout any application.I have alwas to take off my batterie to log out and when I swicth on my phone;it takes my even one day to unlock my pin(because the keyboard doesn't work).But my sceen works and the problem is I can't use the main keys on the middle(the mouse).

I get a message: "Uncaught exception: Application_net_rim_bb_file _explorer (1037) is not responding, process terminated. OK. " When I click OK the camera is still on and won't turn off. I rarely use the camera function, but did recently with no problems. Transferred pix to my computer, last use. Now camera doesn't work and I cannot view pictures in folder on my phone.

Also, possibly unrelated, it seems that the touch screen just stopped working as well whether or not the slide is open. The phone also will not connect to BB Desktop. I've had my torch for just over a year and I don't believe I have a warranty for it.

I recently updated to 6.0 bundle 2647 and since updating I have had several random freezes of the device while doing nothing. I keep the device locked with a short password, and then in a holster most of the time. I have had the situation happen about once a day, very random, where I would pull it out of the holster and try to access it by pressing unlock or sliding it open and nothing works. No response, just a display of the lock screen (no pwd input) and clock of the time when it froze. This is very frustrating and I'm getting ready to downgrade to the previous version.When it occurs, it's usually been idle, not running any apps.
Was downloading TV app last night (first time), needed to restart. Red light turns on, then the loading screen comes up, finishes, then freezes before moving on to next screen.I have tried to soft reset, hard reset, connect to desktop manager, searched for help, read posts that will not help.

Even if I have the screen lock on or the phone completely locked, the home screen keeps popping up. When I attempt the screen lock alone, within a minute the screen turns on and unlocks automatically without touching the phone. It's killing the battery.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry torch 9800, the other day i were on the phone to my friend and my phone just cut off! screen went black and the flashing light flash's red 4 times quick together then pauses for about 2 seconds then continues to flash. it eventually turned back on after 20minutes of taking my battery out then back in contantly. Ever since my phone turns off atleast twice a day and stays off for hours. my phone is now still flshing red and hasn't turned back on since this morning. i thought it may have to do with me needing to update my phone through my PC so when my phone finally turned back on yesturday i updated it, but my phone still persists to turn off still flashing red. i seem to have bad luck with blackberrys. i got one for my birthday and lost it so got another one 2months ago and now this has happened.
My phone turns on but my screen doesn't, the red light come on and so does the buttons but the screen stays black. The screen doesn't have a back light neither. I took out the battery to reset it but that didn't work either. What should I do?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. Have noticed in forum that this is known but for a computer update you just take out this as a back up option but on a wireless update the phone is stuck if I do a battery pull and put itback after few mins it starts again and tries to update is there anyway to cancel update or solve this. tried pluggin into pc but doesnt do anything different.

I didn't want to use the DM "Switch Devices" utility because I don't want everything copied over including the settings.The pictures and contacts were easy as I just switched SD cards.Ringtones and pictures I transferred over by plugging in the phones up and used Windows to simply drag the files over.My problem is the memo pad info. # On the Home screen, click the Camera icon.
# Press the Menu key key > Options.
# Select the Image Stabilization check box.
# Press the Menu key key > Save.
I don't have IS under Options - only Digital Zoom, Picture Review, Image Size, Convenience Keys, Storage and Store Pictures.
