My phone just started acting up when I try to use my camera. Everytime y try using my camera my phone reboots itself.
I have kept my phone up to date with updates and I have been taking good care of it.
I've already ruled out:
-Water damage (has never been wet or near water whatsoever
-Phone software version (have tried downgrading to multiple versions and upgrading to latest)
-Restore to security copies made when camera worked
My BB Torch 9800 camera turns on, but will not take a picture or turn off. I get a message: "Uncaught exception: Application_net_rim_bb_file _explorer (1037) is not responding, process terminated. OK. " When I click OK the camera is still on and won't turn off. I rarely use the camera function, but did recently with no problems. Transferred pix to my computer, last use. Now camera doesn't work and I cannot view pictures in folder on my phone.

View 14 Replies View RelatedIt turns off whenever I try to use the browser or the camera without fail and other random times. In these instances, it doesn't not show a battery drained shutting down warning. It has to be charging in order for it to reboot, but once it does the battery reads that it is 100% charged. Being on a phone call will drain a full battery in less than 5 mins, and it will flash the empty battery and say radio too low for handset use or whatever. In this case, I can charge it and it goes through the usual process where the light turns yellow and the bar slowly fills up. If I do a battery pull at this time, it restarts fully charged. The time it lasts out of the wall is anywhere from 5 mins-1 hour. I have no 3rd party applications and I did a complete device reset last month due to the same problems. I don't know much about software, but it says everything is up to date.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen the slide is closed the screen turns on just fine, but when I slide it up the screen turns off. Also, possibly unrelated, it seems that the touch screen just stopped working as well whether or not the slide is open. The phone also will not connect to BB Desktop. I've had my torch for just over a year and I don't believe I have a warranty for it.

Even if I have the screen lock on or the phone completely locked, the home screen keeps popping up. When I attempt the screen lock alone, within a minute the screen turns on and unlocks automatically without touching the phone. It's killing the battery.

Finaly when I eventually get to the lock screen it says: conect to power but I charged it last night and the percent bar (top right) says 100% . Now it says to charge with itunes? So I have a few pics I took with the Torch and I have some wallpapers that I added to the device. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

View 8 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry torch 9800, the other day i were on the phone to my friend and my phone just cut off! screen went black and the flashing light flash's red 4 times quick together then pauses for about 2 seconds then continues to flash. it eventually turned back on after 20minutes of taking my battery out then back in contantly. Ever since my phone turns off atleast twice a day and stays off for hours. my phone is now still flshing red and hasn't turned back on since this morning. i thought it may have to do with me needing to update my phone through my PC so when my phone finally turned back on yesturday i updated it, but my phone still persists to turn off still flashing red. I went to use the camera and it all seemed to open up fine but instead of seeing what the lens sees the screen was black. The centre focus [ ] was there and I could zoom back and forth just a black screen. When I click for a photo I get a message " Unable to capture the image " I have searched the web and found nothing conclusive. Battery pulls, a full wipe and installation of the o/s have made no difference to it's lack of function.
