Was downloading TV app last night (first time), needed to restart. Red light turns on, then the loading screen comes up, finishes, then freezes before moving on to next screen.I have tried to soft reset, hard reset, connect to desktop manager, searched for help, read posts that will not help.

What happened is that my husband's blackberry torch 9800 went down and would not reboot, can't even get it to reboot by connecting it to the computer. Anyway, yesterday, I took my husband's SIM card out of his phone put it into mine and my phone would not boot up again. I put my SIM card into his phone and still will not boot up completely. I took it into the AT&T service store they can't do anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was installing Fandango and once it was done downloading the phone shuts off to reboot and the screen turns on and the bar at the bottom showing the loading progress was going fine and everything and then it gets to about 3/4 to being done, then it shuts off and starts over and it does the same thing over and over; gets to 3/4 shuts off. I tried pulling the battery and it didn't make a difference. So I tried pulling out the battery and just leaving it sit for awhile, still nothing. Tried charging it, Still nothing. So I tried connecting it to the computer to reset it and restore the OS but it won't connect. I bought it in January, but I didn't get like other Warranty..

Also when I open the unread message it doesn't view the most recent message received. It always shows about 20 message above the recent message. Does anyone else have this issue?

I recently updated to 6.0 bundle 2647 and since updating I have had several random freezes of the device while doing nothing. I keep the device locked with a short password, and then in a holster most of the time. I have had the situation happen about once a day, very random, where I would pull it out of the holster and try to access it by pressing unlock or sliding it open and nothing works. No response, just a display of the lock screen (no pwd input) and clock of the time when it froze. This is very frustrating and I'm getting ready to downgrade to the previous version.When it occurs, it's usually been idle, not running any apps.
I've had my Torch since early January, and there is no water or physical damage to it. Everything's been working spectacularly until today.This morning I changed the security settings for the AT&T Live TV app and the Pandora app. It then asked for a reboot, which I allowed. The phone turns off, back on to the reboot screen (with the BB logo and "BlackBerry") along with the reboot loading bar on the bottomThe thing is, the bar loads completely and that's it, it stays frozen there Nothing else loads. I took out the battery and retried. Several times. Now I am just letting it sit there, load bar completely loaded, having done nothing but be frozen for about an hour now.

I downloaded a software called "blackberry Swiss army kit" and I still got nothing done. Everything installs but when it reboots its freezes at the same spot.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Blackberry Toch 9800, it seems to freeze up on several occassions, most recently when downloading an application from "App World."After downloading an application from App World, when you run the application for the first time, it will ask you if you want to "share personal information." Whether it is checked or unchecked, the screen just freezes up after clicking "OK."
Is there a fix for this? This is a brand new device and I am already experiencing several screen lock up issues. I have already done a hard / soft reset, as well as a battery pull. I have also uninstalled the application and re-installed it, only to have this issue continue.
BB freezes and timer/clock appears middle of screen. I have a new Torch and have had no problems with it for the first 3 weeks. Now for the past 2 weeks it freezes constantly. A little black clock/timer appears in the middle of the screen as if its struggling to 'actually do the work'?!

After restoring all my apps and data all was well, until two days later I couldn't send texts, and I was forced to try a soft reset, which failed. I then had to do another factory reset, leaving me having to restore my phone, again. Is my phone terminally ill?

It's very frustrating that every time I go to do anything on my phone either the screen is frozen or its updating. So I started using it with it slid closed and just texting on the screen and it worked great until the other day when the screen would no longer come on, even when it was closed. I know the phone still works because the red light was flashing because I got a message but I couldn't get the screen to come back on because I'm guessing it has short circuited enough that it gave out. So my question is, I got a cheap phone onto my contract now, but I don't have any contacts: how can I get my contacts from my BB where I can't see the screen onto this other phone? View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had a Blackberry Torch 9800 for 12 months and I removed it from my vehicles "Hands Free Kit" and put it in my phone holder on my belt. When I removed the phone from my holder, the screen was black and frozen and none of the button worked, not even the touch screen. The phone works correctly if I open the slide but shuts off when I close the slide again. When the slide is opened I have no on screen typing and have to use the keyboard on the slide. When I put the phone back in my hands free kit, the slide needs to be closed so I cannot answer any calls or use the touch screen.
