BB Torch :: 9810 Freezes On Reboot Screen Near End
Feb 10, 2012
I can't get passed my reboot screen, I have tried taking out the battery many times, tried downloading the software update and also tried putting in the original software from AT&T and it still freezes on the reboot screen near the end. I downloaded a software called "blackberry Swiss army kit" and I still got nothing done. Everything installs but when it reboots its freezes at the same spot.
I've had my Torch since early January, and there is no water or physical damage to it. Everything's been working spectacularly until today. This morning I changed the security settings for the AT&T Live TV app and the Pandora app. It then asked for a reboot, which I allowed. The phone turns off, back on to the reboot screen (with the BB logo and "BlackBerry") along with the reboot loading bar on the bottomThe thing is, the bar loads completely and that's it, it stays frozen there Nothing else loads. I took out the battery and retried. Several times. Now I am just letting it sit there, load bar completely loaded, having done nothing but be frozen for about an hour now.
9810 torch the screen constantly freezes or has the little black square with the dial going around like its updating. It's very frustrating that every time I go to do anything on my phone either the screen is frozen or its updating. It wont even let me turn the screen on unless I open the keypad - freezes and updates when trying to hang up a call- takes two minutes to prep phone for every use.
Once I take 9810 out of case, it takes 5-10 seconds to update current time and display new message if any. It also behaves similarly if it went into sleep mode and I press any button to bring it back to active mode. Sometimes hourglass is displayed and takes a while for this phone to become operational. This was not the case with 9800 or any other blackberries I had in past.Is it normal?
I just upgraded from my loyal javelin to torch 9810 . I am having this serious problem with the app world. Whatever function or app icon i click on or the download button it freezes with a rotating wheel and a please wait .. it never ends. I have reinstalled the application 4-5 times and retried . the same thing happens.
I have a bb torch 9810 since April and now the calendar app always freeze when I try to open it. I pulled the battery out, backed up, restored I did everything I could but nothing works. As I have all my appointments there I really need it to work!
I have updated my Torch 9810 to the new Telus 7.1 OS and it renders it unusable. I have tried reinstalling the OS several times, to no avail. It did that once with 7.0 and I reinstalled it and it worked great. I also tried to use app loader and I couldn't launch it, it said the file exists already and it stopped. I want the 7.1 features, but it seems to kill my 9810. The screen is semi functional for about 30 seconds with glitches then it freezes the screen and I can only use the cursor and the key board to do anything. I down graded back to 7.0 and now it works fine.
yesterday i tried to upgrade my whatsapp and after upgrading i restarted mt phoe ...but after that when it reaches 60-70 % of booting it gets restarted again...
I have recently upgraded my phone to the updated OS 7.0 Bundle 2406. My touchscreen occassionally freezes and does not respond for sometimes 15 minutes at a time. I do not recall if my touchscreen used to freeze before the update. However, I have tried downgrading back to the old OS and this does not work. Very often the touch screen seems to freeze after disconnecting from the USB cable connection to the PC or the bluetooth I use in my car
I have a Torch 9810. It turned off by itself and now when I try to reboot it. I get a white screen that says App Error 200 with a little black box that says Reset in it. When I try to touch the word reset - nothing happens. If I press my pad the phone reboots and the same message appears. I am afraid that I will lose all my pictures and info that I have saved on the phone.
I have a BB Torch 9810. After updating the whatsapp app it rebooted and start working fine. After a couple of minutes it turned off and when I tried turning it back on with the power on bar it wouldn't turn on. So I pulled out the battery and when I put it back in the load bar would only go 3/4 of the way and get stuck there.. Is the phone dead? or is there any other way I could get the phone to reboot completely so I can use it??
Whenever I try to reset my blackberry it will freeze at 75% and the screen will go off and it will do it all over again, when I connect my bb to desktop software it will come up with a message saying the device software needs updating during the update it says "reconnecting to JVM" and the desktop software will disconnect my blackberry is there anyway to stop this from happening.
I bought my TORCH 9810 3 months ago, it worked well, but lately I've been experiencing problems with it, the screen doesn touch, when it works, it works very slow, I can tap six times and it won't work, what is the problem and how can I fix this! Everything works very fine, except for the screen, why?!
I have a weird problem with my blackberry torch 9810, all the lights from the kerboard and the 4 button (call, blackberry button, return button and turn off button) are on and also, the green light LED is on too but the SCREEN doesn't show up.
Today I removed my battery to reset and the screen will rotate for a short period of time then stops. Reset again its OK but after a short time it wont rotate.
I am on my 4th B.B. Torch 9810. At odd times when the keyboard is extended and I am typing an email or text msg. The screen will black out and bounce me out to the main screen. This has happened on every Torch I have received since January of this year.
was working perfectly fine until i downloaded an app that you can now get for free from RIM until some date in may. anyways, i wiped my phone and it was working fine for a few days, then it stopped working out of no where. then for some reason when i upgraded bbm and had to reset my phone, the touch worked perfectly but then randomly stopped working again. It basically does not work at all, except for sometimes when my phone is plugged in. idk how to fix this, would re-installing the software get it to work again or should i just take my phone in?
Phone fell into snow last week (when I did). Got the red dot indicating liquid damage. All seems to be working except the touch screen. I can no longer do anything with it.
I bought a used 9810 for a decent price, it was listed as *mint* and the cosmetic condition I'd say would be at best very very good (it had a lot of gunk under the case they had on it, I had to clean it for them).
So anyways I got it all set up I tranferred all my info from my older Torch 9800, then I pulled the 9810 out of my pocket and it was flipping through "All" "Favourites" "Downloads" "Frequents" and all of those. So I was obviously confused.
After using the phone a lot I realized that it's just the "cursor" or the pointer that is moving quickly to the top-left of the screen. If I'm on the internet I see the little pointer icon moving to the top-left corner. If I'm on anything like the main screen or blackberry app world there is a flick to the left.
To see exactly what I'm describing look at the video --> Here <-- please.
I think this is the track-pad, some other people on crackberry thought it was the screen, so I would just like to know which it is. Because this is a used phone, I do not know any of the real backround of it. I was told it was well taken care of.
Is there a simple way to fix this? (Factory Reset) or would this trackpad or screen need to be replaced?
I have updated to the Torch from the Storm2 but have some questions. How do I delete icons off of the homescreen and off of the phone. I have inadvertently set up too many e-mail addresses and want to simplify. I added to the home screen but don't know how to get rid of them.
Recently the touch screen keyboard if my blackberry torch has stopped working when I close the my phone (slide close) and also the rotation that Blackberry torch does when you change the position of it isn't also work, I thought it was software problem but it's not.
I have updated my device (Torch 9810) a few months ago and from that moment on the touch screen is not operating properly. Sometimes it works but most of the times it does not. Also the track pad does not always work properly after the upgrade. Yesterday nothing worked and I had to soft reset the device before considering throwing it to the swimming poolThe unfortunate thing is that I do not remember what type of upgrade I made but it took 2-3 hours to complete.Last but not least after this upgrade my battery dies in less than half a day. I bought a new one and the same thing happens.
My 9810 is acting up. None of the keys are working, even the 5 below the screen. Sometimes the track pad works but not when it is pressed, and when the back botton works it puts me into sreach mode and looks for the letter "H" only. The touch screen is fine. This was before upgrading to OS7.1. I have done multiple hard resets and it does nothing at all. This has been going on for three days now. It hasn't be dropped or anything.
Last night I upgraded to OS 7.1 now my back ground does not rotate properly with how the phone is being held it does rotate, When you hold it upright it thinks its on it's side and vise versa.
My Torch 9810 touch screen doesn't work properly anymore...it works each time the phone has just been freshly boot or when a battery pull has just been performed and stops afterwards until another battery pull or boot is done. is this some sort of software problem? Can it be fixed? If it can, how? I tried upgrading to OS 7.1 but the same problem persists.
