Oct 15, 2012I mada a backup from all my data on blackberry protect website, and then I wiped my device, after this tried to restore the data again it wont le me do this and it says my wireless service plan doesnot include blackberry protect or it says my data service plan does not include blackberry protect i checked with my service provider and everything is ok from their side, and I tried deferen t sim carrds and it says the same, I checked the online support it says Navigate to Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing TablePress the Menu button and select Register Now.but nothing was done and it still gived me same message

Apr 30, 2012I have a new BB Torch 9810 and I'm trying to restore from BB Protect but not all contacts restore - and it seems random which ones don't. I tried a resolution posted about unticking not restoring contacts which are e-mail synchronized but the only option under "Synchronisation Options" on my Torch is "Deleted items". When I look at the back-up data on Protect for the old device (Torch 9800) each synch has 2 Address Book entries with different numbers of items. Could it somehow be restoring only one of these two files?

May 13, 2011I didn't see that you can't use BB Protect when using Enterprise Server. I need to uninstall this program as it seems to be blocking my BB from getting emails from the Enterprise Server.
I don't have the option to delete the app when I click on the BB button. I also don't see it listed in Options > Advanced > Service Book to delete it there.

Aug 27, 2012I am unable to download the blackberry desktop software to my home computer. I have Windows XP and I received an error message when trying to download the software. I cannot back up my blackberry without this software. Any help would be great as I need to reset my blackberry because I am unable to download any apps or receive my personal e-mails to my phone or use BBM and resetting the phone to its factory settings is the only solution I have been given.

Downloads of this software are not yet available in your country due to regulatory reasons. Please check back for future availability.
Digicel has a number of outlets based in Guyana, and Guyana has not threatened to ban Blackberry service in this country, so I would like to know what is causing this error, and how it can be resolved. I know the downloads are being blocked due to my IP, which is showing as belonging to Guyana.
Curve :: Unable To Register Blackberry On Network
Jun 1, 2012I changed my phone from iphone to blackberry Curve 9220. I am using Airtel postpaid plan for data. Not, I am able to see edge in blackberry but I guess if it is not caps (EDGE), it means service provider is not registering it.
As checked in various forums, I did follow KB00510- to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network.
I also tried to follow KB05000 but couldn't becuase I was never able to set any Internet service e-mail account. I also tried following KB02830 - sending the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service but couldn't because I don't see an option of choosing Internet mail account. When i click setup-> email accounts, it automatically takes me to enterprise account. I also tried doing it from provider's website (url...) but the dialogue box asked me repeat the step of registering at Host routing table, which i already did earlier.

Oct 31, 2011I have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.

Aug 21, 2010I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
