Oct 15, 2012I screen locked my new 9900. Now the screen does not come back on at all? Is this a problem on the 9900?

BB Bold :: 9900 Screen Auto-lock?
Apr 7, 2012just bought a brand new bold 9900 yesterday and was feeling all excited about it.however, when i tried to typed messages be it a sms, whatsapp or on bbm, as long as i pressed c, z, m, n or space, the screen will get locked up immediately. tried updating my OS to 7.0 and 7.1 (current) but that doesnt help at all.wondering is the hardware defective or the problems lies with the OS.

As a Vodafone customer this Bold9900 is completly useless - Vodafone cannot connect my Bold9900 and I see the T of Telekom Why does RIM not have a quality assurance ? All my friends - most of them are not iPhone fans - are laughing about me because I am / was stil a Blackberry fan.

Jul 5, 2012when i press the lock button at the top of the phone to lock it, or the backlight switches off when it is idle, the phonee freezes. when i press the lock button to unlock it (or press any other key) the keys and trackpad light up, but the screen stays blank. after a few battery pulls i finally get the phone to reboot and have to do this every time. how do i fix this?

Jul 31, 2012I have been using bold2-9700 for the past 2 years and till today I havent faced any problem with it but recently, like 3 months back I bought a new bold 4-9900. It was working fine but by the second month it started giving me hangs and it got a bit slow, I know that was expected so I dint really care much but from the past 2-3 days I have been facing a new problem; my bold 4-9900 lock button is not working at all, I have even checked the settings but I could not find any thing related to it, I am really tensed as it has just been 3 months and it has given me problems.
The second problem I have facing is my scroll is not working properly as well, If I am on the menu then I am not able to scroll up or down unless and until I touch the screen. I went and checked the settings as well but no luck, but I did notice that when ever I open something on the right corner EN box appears and I think that is the thing which is not allowing the scroll to move. Please help me out as I dont want to give it for repair.

Dec 22, 2011I'm a proud owner of a new Bold 9900 bought today. However, just now i was trying the Holster and it doesnt work. I believe the magnet is placed abit too low. As when I tried my phone placement outside the holster it seems to be able to auto lock if i placed it abit lower. Is there any way to get the holster replace?

Mar 22, 2012ive only had this phone just over a month and its started just locking itself, i keep pressing unlock, sometimes i have to press it several times before it responds. it has spurts of constantly locking itself after i unlock it again, and then hours where it will be okay, and then suddenly start again!

A few days ago, i noticed that my screen started flickering whenever i used the trackpad to scroll through icons on the home screen.Later, I realised that it would suddenly go dim, i.e. the screen would still show the icons but so dim that the screen looks completely dark., at random intevals.Whenever I pressed the screen lock button at the top to blank it and then press it again to reactivate it, it would reactivate but again at a very dim setting.

It was working fine, until one day the screen started flickering, and then just went all black... now it still turns on, everything turns on, and yet the screen does not... it remains black for the longest time till whenever it decides to show up itself. Please help me fix this? I was told it may be a software problem, but I don't think so as I have updated it to the latest OS version and its still giving me trouble.

Sep 20, 2012My battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! It wont allow me to typeit in .... its like my phone doesnt pick up the buttons I am pressing. After turning this on and off several times whilst also taking the sim card out etc etc it still wont allow me to do get in my phone.

He is a longtime BB user most recently upgrading from an earlier Bold 9700 before that the 8800 series as well as earlier models. He does not like the touch screen and it is driving him crazy. I cannot find anything about turning it off. How can you disable the touch screen on it?
