View 1 Repliesi can't turn on the screen, but the phone still working (email notification and phone ringing).
View 1 RepliesSo I bought a blackberry 9900 on kijiji from someone. It was working fine, until one day the screen started flickering, and then just went all black... now it still turns on, everything turns on, and yet the screen does not... it remains black for the longest time till whenever it decides to show up itself. Please help me fix this? I was told it may be a software problem, but I don't think so as I have updated it to the latest OS version and its still giving me trouble.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy bb9900 is not very old (DOP- 26/11/2011) and i handle it very carefully. but few days back its screen went black, suddenly, for few mins and then again it became normal. since then it happens daily and atleast for a few times everyday.
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhilst i am using the phone, suddenly the screen goes black, but i cant still see the screen is on. i can carry on using the phone by making a call, so i assume the phone still works normally. i have to wait a long time for my phone to be back to normal. i leave it for about 15 minutes, and it starts working but this happens again. this also happens when i make a call and the screen goes dark, and also when i lock it?BB BOLD 990, OS 7.1?
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry bold 9900 goes to a black screen all the time and i updated it to 7.1 it doesnt do it as much but still does! what should i do!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI opened a Blackberry 9900 contract about 5 days ago and I am having problems already! When I make a call the screen goes to black and doesn't turn back on until I end the call. I've tried deleting installed apps taking battery out. Its fully updated.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy bold 9900 has recently started to go dark right after use. Sometimes it goes dark and still rings but I cannot see the caller ID but can answer and speak. At times the screen turns back on after two minutes, other times I have to do a battery pull. This has only started after I installed the official Bell Mobility OS 7.1.0.267 update a few days ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently after updating my bb bold 9900 to os 7.1, my device would start to give blank black screens even though the phone is on and supposedly working, since the keyboards would light up. At first it didn't do this, however, it has been around 10 days since it started blanking out. It would take around 15 minutes or more before I can see the normal screen again. I thought it was just a normal "blackout" since some time it tends to do that, but it turned out it wasn't. Sometimes when I use it, it would also blank out, which is annoying especially when I'm using the messenger/texting..

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 always black screen when i calling or answer, how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the bold 9900 and I got it just over a month ago. Four days ago I noticed a thin black line flickering across the screen and I thought It would go away because the phone didn't drop. This morning, it became two thin black lines.I have no clue how it came about or how to fix it and its really distracting. I updated my OS to the latest one and I also updated my BBM to the 6.1 beta. The phone didn't drop, the line just came out of nowhere.
View 6 Replies View Relatedive had this issue before and sent it away to be fixed came back and was fine for a couple of months and now the problem is back tried doing a battery pull and everything loads it seams. i have tried using the desktop manager and it successfully loads the updated opperating system but same problem persist. the screen is just black and the blacklight lights up but i dont even see the loading bar when i put the battery back in.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my 9900 in June, and I have encountered lots of problems and downsides.1-Really short battery life, drains too quickly2-Bad speaker performance in open areas3-Horrid app performance4-Horrid selection of apps5-Constant freezing and loading times, regularly having to unplug batteryAnd now the most severe thing ever happened:I didn't drop my phone, but a week or two ago a straight horizontal line of blue pixels appeared. I was curious, and I took a screenshot. The blue line wasn't visible. One or two days later the space between the line(It went from one side to the other side) and the bottom of the screen started to flicker, and sometimes completely went black. The black area was a third of my screen, and it is really hard to use with this black space on my screen. It eventually became always pitch-black, and now it rarely flickers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately my BB9900 past away. Black screen, Red light flashy and all the same symptoms in previous other posts. I have tried:
- Batt pull
- Chargin with Power cable and/or USB cable and pull the batt in / out
- Installing software
- Resetting with BBSAK and JL CMDer
All without any result. Only thing is: When I pull the battery and connect it with my PC, after 30s/60s I see a battery (with a red cross) in the screen. I have tried now to install the software trough "c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploaderloader.exe" /nojvm but no luck. Is it possible to connect with other software? Where can we download software to Flash the Rom and are their any ROMS available? My guess is a software failure in the ROM.
I am facing the same issue on my 5 day old 9900. The touch screen just stopped working on the 2nd day & it has come up since then. I have tried the following to correct the issue but, no success:
1. Cold Reboot (Pull battery when device is on)
2. Simple Reboot (Pull battery when device is OFF)
3. Remove battery then, SIM & SD Card, plug in battery then pull it again & put everything back in
None of these worked, my OS version is v7.0.0.261 Bundle 1346 Platform 5.0.0.464 Should I update my phone software? Each time I try to check for an upgrade it says you have the latest one.
Yesterday my 9900 just stopped working and the screen came up with JVM error 545.I've tried using the BB desktop to reload following the instructions of BB knowledge base KB10144 and KB 20371.The device fails to connect to the PC and generates the following message: Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect your device, enter password, if required, and click retry. The device just won't connect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst post ever but I've been following this site for blackberry advice for a while, but this time I can't seem to find an answer to my dilemma, I've seen on most posts regarding the black screen blinking red light issue but the problem stemmed from installing the OS. Thats not the issue I have, while at work I was chatting with my friend on blackberry messenger but a customer came by so I holstered my blackberry, by the time I finished and took out my blackberry the screen was black and won't turn on, I naturally assumed that my phone died although it was awkward for it to die at like 45% battery life so I ignored it until I got home. I placed my blackberry on my cradle to see if it'll charge but the screen remained black and the LED light blinks twice then stops, then blinks twice again and so forth. Should I do what the posters suggested? Run that program and reinstall an OS hoping it will save my blackberry?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have one more problem with 9900 (t-mobile).It strats up (loading status bar goes from left to the right), then it shows Desktop - and then in second or two display shuts down and shows black display only. no responding.I have tried wiping, different OS installed - problem is the same. I Put My Xperia z2 Underwater, With The Camera Open, And I Took Like 3 Pictures And it Took Me Only Like 30 Seconds But After I took It Out Of The Water, The Screen Blacked Out And Doesn't Work, I Tried To Restart It Or Use The Reset Button, And The Phone Is All dry Cuz The flaps Were Closed Tightly But Still No Response, This Happened Now While I'm Posting This From My Friend's Phone, Idk What To Do To Make It Work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I purchased an E75 off of Ebay. The problem is, whenever I try to utilize the main camera, all I see is blackness. The viewfinder does not seem to work at all. Scrolling through the camera toolbar takes a while and tooltips remain on the screen without fading away as they supposedly should. I have tried taking picture regardless of the issue, but I recieved an error message which says "Unexpected error has occurred. Restart your phone." or something similar. I get the same result in Video Mode.I have done hard resets and firmware updates to the latest firmware possible, but to no avail. What could it be? Would I need to take it to a Nokia Care Center?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have AT+T HTC One - stock; I was happily using it too much let the power run down till it died and after that cannot restart. I can reach the Hard Reset Loader screen. I have already tried factory reset.
I see a kind of battery picture pop up for a while with two green arrows making a circle and a little down arrow in the middle - in the center of screen.
A while later the screen goes black and nothing happens. The SIM card is still inside. I have tried 2-3 times - battery shows to be >80% as of now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter restarting my phone in morning, the screen turned black at the Apple logo and I have the feeling that either something is wrong with software i.e. corrupted or the entire OS crashed. Another important notice: Absolutely nothing works. You cannot even get it into DFU mode. It is not jailbroken.

Incoming calls still ring out but I am not able to answer the calls and cannot see anything on the screen.Â

My iPhone screen is completely black but the phone works perfectly. I can connect it to the MAC, i can use Reflector to see everything, music, camera.. Everything works, but to see the phone's screen i need a torchlight. The fact is, that when i switch it on, i can see the Apple logo for a second and i can see everything when the phone is switched off (example: when charging i can see perfectly the battery icon, or "Connect to iTunes" ecc...). I tried to restore the phone from backup, to reset it, pressing home and the power button, DFU mode... .Â

Where can I get a plain black (or plain white) wallpaper for my new BB9900?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a rather different issue with camera. I have a Curve 8310 (AT&T) and when I go into camera, everything works, but the screen is black. Just the part where the "picture" is supposed to be. I can see the zoom option and I can go to the options and everything. I notice a little symbol thats like an exclamation mark with comma sized lines all the way around it.
