BB Curve :: Moving Contacts From 8520 To Bold 9900?
Mar 7, 2012We took delivery yesterday of a Bold 9900 to replace my daughters 8520. We thought it would be easy to get going but it appears that contacts on her phone can only be copied one at a time to her SIM which we will then have to put in her new Bold 9900. O2 suggested there was an option to do all the contacts in one go but we cant see that! I tried installing the desktop software on her laptop from her original curve CD. We then went through a series of updates, crashed her curve enentually got it working again) and ended up non the wiser. What is the safest and most reliable method of backing up and then copying Contacts to her new phone. Not to worried about other stuff as she can reinstall facebook etc and a can copy photos on to her PC.

Nov 4, 2011By accident I have been able to click on the Blue Menu bar and instead of it expanding or contract, it drops to the bittom of the Home Page screen. All that's then left is your Home Desktop Wallpaper.

Jul 14, 2015Over the past couple of days I have had a progressively worsening problem where my screen acts as though it is being touched, but is not. It has become essentially unusable at this point though. I have tried restarting the phone multiple times, I have cleaned the screen. I looked for a recalibration of the touch screen, but that did not seem to exist. I'm worried that this is a sign that the phone is broken, despite the fact that it has been babied and has no signs of wear. This will be the 2nd Icon I have had break on me since release and I have NEVER had a phone die on me before. I'm annoyed to say the least..

A few days ago, i noticed that my screen started flickering whenever i used the trackpad to scroll through icons on the home screen.Later, I realised that it would suddenly go dim, i.e. the screen would still show the icons but so dim that the screen looks completely dark., at random intevals.Whenever I pressed the screen lock button at the top to blank it and then press it again to reactivate it, it would reactivate but again at a very dim setting.

It was working fine, until one day the screen started flickering, and then just went all black... now it still turns on, everything turns on, and yet the screen does not... it remains black for the longest time till whenever it decides to show up itself. Please help me fix this? I was told it may be a software problem, but I don't think so as I have updated it to the latest OS version and its still giving me trouble.

Sep 20, 2012My battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! He is a longtime BB user most recently upgrading from an earlier Bold 9700 before that the 8800 series as well as earlier models. He does not like the touch screen and it is driving him crazy. I cannot find anything about turning it off. How can you disable the touch screen on it? I have seen posts on other sites requesting this, but have seen no solutions, other than adjusting the sensitivity.
