Nov 4, 2011Is it possible to post personal alternate contact information on the main lock/unlock screen in case my phone is misplaced or lost? If my phone is misplaced, people have no options other than to go through the phone and figure out who the owner is. It would be great to have this feature. It would give me peace of mind knowing it's there in case it's found. Most people would try to return it to a store or its rightful owner.

Apr 7, 2012just bought a brand new bold 9900 yesterday and was feeling all excited about it.however, when i tried to typed messages be it a sms, whatsapp or on bbm, as long as i pressed c, z, m, n or space, the screen will get locked up immediately. tried updating my OS to 7.0 and 7.1 (current) but that doesnt help at all.wondering is the hardware defective or the problems lies with the OS.

Jul 5, 2012My two months new 9900 dead on me yesterday. I am told there is a short on the system board and BB will not power up. I need to get my contact information and some data in my BB back up somewhere until I receive my new phone, anyway I can do it? Jul 5, 2012when i press the lock button at the top of the phone to lock it, or the backlight switches off when it is idle, the phonee freezes. when i press the lock button to unlock it (or press any other key) the keys and trackpad light up, but the screen stays blank. after a few battery pulls i finally get the phone to reboot and have to do this every time. how do i fix this?

Jul 31, 2012I have been using bold2-9700 for the past 2 years and till today I havent faced any problem with it but recently, like 3 months back I bought a new bold 4-9900. It was working fine but by the second month it started giving me hangs and it got a bit slow, I know that was expected so I dint really care much but from the past 2-3 days I have been facing a new problem; my bold 4-9900 lock button is not working at all, I have even checked the settings but I could not find any thing related to it, I am really tensed as it has just been 3 months and it has given me problems.
The second problem I have facing is my scroll is not working properly as well, If I am on the menu then I am not able to scroll up or down unless and until I touch the screen. I went and checked the settings as well but no luck, but I did notice that when ever I open something on the right corner EN box appears and I think that is the thing which is not allowing the scroll to move. Please help me out as I dont want to give it for repair.

Mar 11, 2010I just installed the latest 5.0 OS, everything runs smooth but I can't see my owner or information in the home screen when I lock the device anymore, is there a way to have this shown all the time? even if I don't lock it? I was thinking about a custom theme or something, I really need that info/owner to be shown in the home screen, locked or unlocked.
I really love my BB, especially with this OS.

Dec 22, 2011I'm a proud owner of a new Bold 9900 bought today. However, just now i was trying the Holster and it doesnt work. I believe the magnet is placed abit too low. As when I tried my phone placement outside the holster it seems to be able to auto lock if i placed it abit lower. Is there any way to get the holster replace?

Sep 20, 2012My battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! It wont allow me to typeit in .... its like my phone doesnt pick up the buttons I am pressing. After turning this on and off several times whilst also taking the sim card out etc etc it still wont allow me to do get in my phone.
