BB Bold :: Email "read" Notifications?

I have a question and I hope I will explain it correctly. When I send an email from my personal Blackberry email to an email that is not a "Blackberry" email (just a regular email address), sometimes I get an "R" next to the email that the email was read. Sometimes I do not get an "R"...I get nothing, but I know the email was read because I do get a response anyhow.
My question is.....When I do receive the "R", does that mean the person read my email directly ON their Blackberry and when I don't get the "R", it is read on their computer instead? Or is it vice versa? I hope I explained my question well enough.

I have a 9630. I check my emails on a daily on a basis on the computer, but the icon still shows them as unread on my BlackBerry, which in turn leaves the yellow envelope/red asterisk on my home screen. I'm sure others have had this question before, but I did a few searches on CB and google to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

my Bold 9900. Is it possible to setup e-mail service to sync read e-mail.
I there comes new mail to my Gmail account, it immediately appears in my Bold also. If I read this mail on BB, it is marked as read also in my desktop client and on web interface. But if I read new mail in web interface or desktop client it remains marked as unread in Bold (even after few hours!) and I must mark as readed manualy in phone.

I have Yahoo on my iPhone, right? When I read an email in my Yahoo account on my iPhone, and later log into my Yahoo account, it shows those messages as read. Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. Also, it would be phenomenal if you could also help me find a way to toss work emails in folders I have set up on my Outlook, as well.Dial NumberMember LookupQuery HistoryStart Member Query?

I have 2 email accounts on my Blackberry. I would like to recieve notifications from one, but not the other.i.e. Have one with the usual "1 new message" icon, but would like the other to either be automatically read or just not be notified of their presence, even if unread.

I've got BuzzMe Pro.Had it on my Bold 9000.Not sure if it's part of my problem but I can't get the LED notifications to turn off after I read an e-mail.I open the mail and the little symbol for new mail goes away, but the LED keeps blinking.Sometimes, if I click on "mark prior opened", it goes away.Sometimes not.

I get constant email, and would prefer to have my blackberry set so I don't see any notification icons visually for facebook and email. Currently, I have to click 'mark prior unopened' in order to erase the yellow mail icon with the red star -- so that the icon doesn't show up in the status bar.
I'd prefer to not see this notification at all. Same with facebook notifications. Haven't found the settings for these.
Is there any way to set the Bold 9700 so I don't see any visual notifications for email?

I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.

Phone vibrates on receiving email and will not stop till iv read the email, I've got notification as no vibrate but it still vibrates on receiving email on hotmail and gmail (notifications in both set up on vibration is off )

I started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.

i have a Torch 9800 on AT&T and I am running 6.0.0.526. When I reboot my phone, I receive a message "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException." Everything was fine until I did an OTA update to 6.0.0.600 last Friday. After I did the update, I could not change my theme(menu<options would pop up then close and Options<display< screen display would do the same thing) and I would get the error. I downgraded to 6.0.0.526 official and I still had the error but I was able to change my theme. I decided to trim my OS using BBHTool (have done this before with no problems). I am still receiving the error even after several battery pulls. I retrieved my event log from Crackutil and below is what shows up(5 times) for the error.

I have a 9650 with BIS on Sprint. I get my e-mail through OWA. When I open or mark as read an e-mail on my phone, my Outlook inbox on my desktop is updated accordingly. However, when I open an e-mail on my desktop, my inbox on my phone is not updated to show that the e-mail has been opened. I have to go in an mark as read all of the items, which is a royal pain.

I've had to reinstall my backed up iphone data 4 times and each time I have to manually select all my emails and mark them as read.
This is kind of ********, selecting all of your email and marking it or deleting it has been a feature on every mobile devise for over 5 years. Why isn't it an option on my Iphone. Why is apple trying to make me buy an app for this common task to get done!!!!

Using K9 to monitor my msn.com account, when I read an email on the PC it does not change the status of the email on the Droid to show as read. Same issue the other way, if I read an email on the Droid the same email shows as not read on the PC.
Is there a setting some place within K9 that will mark the PC email as read and allow the sever to mark an email as read on the Droid?

I have setup my emails with Email Wizard. I could read my emails several times through both GPRS and WLAN. But it happened and I couldn't read my email through my WLAN connection. It asks me the passwords of all mail accounts. I enter them and it says "Connecting" but then suddenly disconnects. I can browse internet with the regular browser, there is no problem. But what is the problem with the e-mail application? How can i fix this?

I have an iPhone 5, iOS version 7.1. One of my email accounts, of type "Other", will always show messages as "unread" even though I have already read them through the web interface I use on my computer. It's hard to tell what's really unread mail. How do I fix this?Â

I have a data package on my carrier but my Blackberry 9700 doesn't read it. I changed the sim and inserted it into another mobile and it works instantly so first of all its got nothing to do with my carrier. Secondly, I erased my BB to the factory settings , have re-installed my software but still the data package doesn't work, All other functions of the phone including wifi are perfectly fine. Have done a software upload,download, All that happened was I received a message of some JVM and the mobile restarted and after nothing has working.
