I have 2 email accounts on my Blackberry. I would like to recieve notifications from one, but not the other.i.e. Have one with the usual "1 new message" icon, but would like the other to either be automatically read or just not be notified of their presence, even if unread.
View 1 RepliesI get constant email, and would prefer to have my blackberry set so I don't see any notification icons visually for facebook and email. Currently, I have to click 'mark prior unopened' in order to erase the yellow mail icon with the red star -- so that the icon doesn't show up in the status bar.
I'd prefer to not see this notification at all. Same with facebook notifications. Haven't found the settings for these.
Is there any way to set the Bold 9700 so I don't see any visual notifications for email?

I check my emails on a daily on a basis on the computer, but the icon still shows them as unread on my BlackBerry, which in turn leaves the yellow envelope/red asterisk on my home screen. I'm sure others have had this question before, but I did a few searches on CB and google to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)

When I send an email from my personal Blackberry email to an email that is not a "Blackberry" email (just a regular email address), sometimes I get an "R" next to the email that the email was read. Sometimes I do not get an "R"...I get nothing, but I know the email was read because I do get a response anyhow.
My question is.....When I do receive the "R", does that mean the person read my email directly ON their Blackberry and when I don't get the "R", it is read on their computer instead? Or is it vice versa? I hope I explained my question well enough.
Every time I receive an Email through my yahoo account, I get a text message notification of the email as well. How do I make this stop?I don't text a lot so I don't have unlimited texts on my account. Kind of annoying to have to delete texts as well as the fact that it's eating my monthly text allotment. I have been through every options menu and have not located anything that addresses this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI started having this issue yesterday--I have YMail, Hotmail and GMail accounts all in the stock e-mail app on my Nexus 5. I also use Lightflow for LED notifications and have had no problems. I noticed I was no longer receiving the taskbar icon notifications in the upper left for new e-mails, nor the Lightflow LED notifications. I still get Hangout/text notifications, not sure about missed calls.
1) Confirmed notifications set to On in the e-mail app for each of the e-mail accounts
2) Turned phone off and then back on
3) Cleared data and cleared cache in e-mail app -- didn't work
4) Uninstalled Lightflow app
5) Deleted all 3 accounts from the e-mail app, then added them back in; rebooted -- still no notifications
I don't use the stock GMail app for GMail since I prefer to just have one icon to use to keep track of all my e-mail accounts.

My phone constantly vibrates all day and night when on the charger and I can't put it on silent because then my alarm won't go off. Is there anyway to either disable this annoying feature or is there an alarm that works on silent mode or what? I have tried multiple charging cables, plugs, outlets and every single time once my phone is charged it vibrates every 15 seconds or so.

There are 2 days a week that i need my ringer on at work for daycare purposes. So i have ringtone on, and the other 3 settings (media, notifications, system) all turned off. However, i still get facebook message notifications, and vibrations from Twitter alerts.

Great so far, but can I change my .gmail account to not get notifications? Right now I have my . business gmails forward to my gmail account, but it's now redundant.
