not sure if there is a way of 'cleaning' the key pad on my 9900??When texting it is increasingly becoming a pain, especially the c and b buttons...they just don't seem to work everytime?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my bold for just over 4 months now and in the last few days my menu key and track key aren't working properly. When I press the menu key it brings up my switch app window (I'm literally just pressing it, not holding it down for a few secs) and will do this 4 or 5 times before it brings up the options. Now my track key is going. I press it and it'll bring my options up. I can do this 3 or 4 times before it'll actually go into the icon or link that I'm wanting . I've tried the whole reboot with the phone on and it does nothing.
My last bold I had 19 months and did not once have a problem with it (other than the deep scratch I put in the screen!), 4 months with this and I can't even use the basic and most important keys on the bloody phone!
I have Nokia 6303 Classic and it was working fine but suddenly today phone is behaving weird, now when i press 1 the phone types it 12,when i press call attend button phone opens the camera.When i press option key phone opens new sms window, and almost all the keypad keys are behaving the same odd way.So I can't do anything on my phone,I have already reset phone to factory setting and also updated to latest software version but problem is still there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with the keys not working properly on the touchscreen keyboard. When the phone is in portrait and I press on a key what shows up is the key at the left end of that row ex: if I press L an A shows up on the screen, if I press U I get a Q. If I turn the phone so that the keyboard is now on the same side as the USB port I only get whatever buttons are on the bottom of the screen. If I turn it 180 degress none of the keys work.
I have also noticed this happening in applications like Google Latitude. If I press any of the icons on the bottm of the screen the only one that registers is the zoom out key.
If I do a battery pull things work well for a bit and then it starts acting up again.
I haven't seen anyone else posting about this and I am hoping that it is just this phone. I am exchanging it tonight.
Decrease volume key does not work whether listening 2 music or being on a call. Only the increase and the mute buttons work.9900 Bold?

I have deinstalled all apps -- reloaded OS 7.1 tried just about everything problem started at noon today and happened on and off for a while but now is all the time.part of the problem now is i cant unlock the bb due to the password letter combination -- have to access it through desktop manager.
My iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.

The keys of my blackberry aren't working anymore even though the screen is working and it hasn't got wet or anything. It isn't working since a few days, and it's driving me crazy because I receive all the messages and notifications but I can't read them since I can't type my password. I took the battery off, restarted it a thousand times but nothing seems to work .
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9780 is about 1 1/2 years old. OS 6.0 bundle2921. A few letters do not work along with the menu key. The phone reset itself since I could not enter the password properly without these keys. I also cannot use the number 5 which is part of our area code. I have had it looked at (fixed) twice without success. They say it needs a motherboard. Now that I got the phone back the microphone doesn't work. I can hear callers but they can barely hear me. I have 1 1/2 years left on the contract but have a useless phone now.

I've turned off/on and taken the battery out, and still do not have this capability. The alt key works with other letters/numbers, just not as the shortcut for incoming and outgoing.

I press the green/ answerr button it gives letter ‘k” I press the hang-up/red button it gives me the letter M, the track ball is not commanding, it rotates fine but once u click on it, it gives me a letter. Anyone have a solution or will i have to bury my Berry?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had a blackberry bold 9780 for the last year and a half and I love it. I recently did a bbm update and shortly after that certain keys worked off and on. I contacted Rogers and they advised to to update the OS so I did. This has not helped. The next call I made to them, they advised me to take it to a rogers store for repair. I did and they informed me that they do not repair out of warranty and they sent me to a kiosk in the mall to have it repaired. According to the kiosk they were not able to fix the issue, they cleaned it, replaced the membrane and still no luck. Now the buttons that worked infrequently no longer work at all. The buttons that do not work are i, o, k,l,m,$ and delete.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI had my bb 9700 for 2 days and im not super satisfied with it as i thought i would be. first problem is I can not hold down the alt key and type other special characters continously. I have to press the alt key , let go , then click the other key which is really annoying. I talked to a rogers rep online and they helped me reboot my phone software and it still has this problem he said i might need a replacement which I dont want because of the inconvenience.
And the keyboard in general is really hard to type on. Compared to the curve 8900, it is so much easier to type on that. the keyboard on the 9700 feels alot stiffer and most of the time when I try to type at a fast speed it doesnt get all the letters i type even though i know i clicked it. once i turn off my 9700, I cant turn it back on. the only way to turn it on is the remove the battery and put it back in. I searched on google and it seems like a few other people are also having these problems but theres no solution.
I am unable to use any keys they just keep typing Hl ou?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9700 has suddenly developed a glitch and being a newbie,When holding the Alt or Shift keys, no other keys work i.e. Holding Alt + R does not give 3 as expected . If I press Alt or Shift, release and then press the desired key (for numbers/symbols), then it works fine. This has not been a problem since I got my 9700 in February and holding down Alt/Shift has worked since day 1.
I am running OS v5.0.0.421 I have tried several battery pulls to no effect.I am guessing that I should back up my data, wipe the device and clean install the current OS.
This morning, out of no where my blackberry started to act strange. if i push on the end button (the red one) it calls some one or if i push on the letter m, it starts typing m like a million times and now it has locked it self and i can't put in my password because the keys don't work.. what can i do? i took the battery out and left it resting for a few but if i can't put in my password how can i get to the phone and try to fix it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRAZR Maxx My problem is about the 4 bottom icons/buttons/keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search) not lighting properly. When in a fairly dark room they always stay lit. Last night before sundown the icons were not lit. It was too dark to see them without being lit. It also depended on the position. I do not know if this was due to internal position sensors or just getting different levels of light from the light sensors. I called Verizon Tech Support and they said this was normal. It may be "normal" but hard to use the phone if I cannot see the icons/buttons/keys.

When I receive a call or go to make a call it won't let me, it just picks up and hangs right up. I have never had a problem with Bluetooth before. Does anyone else have this issue from Sprint .699 upgrading to .732? I don't know if I should wipe and reinstall or just go back to .699, which I didn't have any problem with anyway? Thoughts?

I noticed that if I shut down the Bold, power up and reset the alarm it will go off, but by morning no sound. I overslept this morning because of it.

Another problem is when i use it for gps navigation, i type a new addresss i need to gets to and i display it on map, when i drive, the spot showing me is moving, however the map is not moving along with it, after a while it just goes out of the map. View 1 Replies View RelatedBBM integration on any super app will not work on my Bold 9900. Its currently on OS 7.1 (1149) for the Philippines and BBM 6.2. This started when my device bricked and I had to reload the SW. It stops when verifying the app. Then after a few moments it would say that the server is unreachable. Which is wierd cause I've tried another device on the same specifications and it works. I even used my BB ID on the other device. Below are the steps I have taken:
1. Batt pull
2. Edited application permissons
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the supper app
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled BBM 6.2
4. Downgraded to OS 7.0 (2395) for PH and BBM 6.1
5. Upgradeed to OS 7.1 (1149) for PH and BBM 6.2
At first I thought it had to do something with my BB ID. But i tried everything on another device and it works. I tried a different BB ID still no go. different SIM and BB ID no go. But everyting works on my other device.
