I was on Verizon with a Droid 2 when you did the 2.3.3 test a couple of weeks ago. On 10/9/2011 I moved to Sprint and bought a Photon 4G. I just updated my HEX MEID in this forum profile. My phone did the initial reboot but came back with Update Failed.Update Motorola Software says. An Update is currently being downloaded. You will be notified when the download is complete. There is no indication anything is happening. It's been this way for close to an hour now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy torch started to reboot itself very frequently today. I decided to do an update, only finding that during the process it failed. I cleared out the OS (Wipe) and tried to load a new one. But, during the process connecting to JVM, my phone always restarts failing the whole process. I am using desktop manager btw.

"Failed to retrieve multimedia message please try later" is what it constantly displays.
As far i am aware i have deleted all old mms and have auto retrieve disabled on advice of the stage fright virus prevention, could it be that?
I'm rooted using Franco kernel.
When I try and reboot through the Xposed Framework I get the following error message everytime:
sush:<stdin>[5]: /data/user/0/
de.robv.android/xposed.installer/cache/busybox-
xposed:not found
Reboot failed: Please use the device's normal reboot function.
I have busbox installed. Not sure what else I'm doing wrong?
I bought an unlocked iPhone 5 today. I inserted my sim card, and the phone didn't ask me for the pin, nor did it change its network status to anything else but "searching". For several hours I waited, restarted the phone, toggled plane mode on and off, and tried a few other things I read up on on the internet. None of them worked, the network status still said "searching". So, I decided to try and update the device OS, from iOS 6 to 7.1.2. At first, I tried doing this OTA, so from within the iPhone`s settings. It downloaded the software for about 10 minutes or so, only to after a while, emerge with a message saying that the update failed. This happened several times. I then read a few other posts online, and was recommended to update the device via iTunes. So, I tried this, where, again, it downloaded the software, did some other things such as extracting the software, and then, somewhere in the process, a message popped up on iTunes saying the update had failed. The phone is now still in update mode however, with only the Apple-Logo being displayed on the phone, along with a half-full status bar. Â
What should I do? Should I hard restart the phone? Will this brick it, or is it already bricked? And how can I get it to find a network?

So about 20 minutes ago I connected my iPhone to my computer and iTunes prompted me to update it. I accepted, but as it was applying the updates some type of error popped up. Long story short, it failed to update and now when I turn on my phone it's frozen with the screen showing the USB cord & iTunes icons. I've tried: -Shutting it down by holding the sleep/power button-Shutting it down by holding the Home + sleep/power button-All of my USB ports on my computer-Reinstalling iTunes As soon as I turn it on, it briefly shows the Apple icon then it goes back to the same screen with the iTunes/USB icons. When I connect it to my computer it makes the connection sound but it won't register on iTunes.

what do i do??
a couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust went to update my iphone 4 (32gb) from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 to be greeted yet again with 'update failed, unknown error' followed by iphone in recovery mode. Now, my 3GS did this on 4.0 and 4.0.1, my 4 has done this on 4.0.1 and now 4.0.2.
I dont mind, I have backups but I also have 16gb+ of audio. What is going on? is this something with my laptop or a fault with ios4 updates? Im running latest, 32 bit version of itunes on windows 7.I've tried restoring and updating twice now unsuccesfully.
So, after I updated to ios 5.1 my iPhone 4 has some problems I never kinda seen before. I own it for more than a year . While at home or any other area, good signal, has a bumper, while speaking with friends I get the Called failed problem. Tried reset network settings, even I restored the firmware ... same . Happens a few times a day..
View 3 Replies View RelatedI applied the latest update to my phone and it failed.iTunes suggested that I restore the device. The restore operation failed as well. Now my iPhone is no longer detected iTunes. It does not appear as a removeable drive or camera to Windows.Online troubleshooting failed to help. The only reaction that I observed is that Windows informes me that I had connected a high speed device to a slow (USB 1.0) port and suggested connecting it to another port.Next I am going to take it to the AT&T store where I got it and see if they can help.

I recently tried to update the software on my iphone 4s through itunes, it appeared to be almost complete when I got an error message saying the update had failed. Now my phone will only load up to the screen saying I have to connect to itunes (pic of a USB pointing to the itunes logo), problem is that now itunes doesn't recognise the phone at all. I have tried all the troubleshooting ideas for itunes not recognising the phone but nothing has worked - USB connection is fine, have reinstalled itunes, apple mobile device program is working properly.. When connecting or disconnecting by plug the computer recognises it (makes the noise to say something's been plugged in/unplugged) however the phone doesn't show up in Computer either. Clearly I need to restore the phone but with itunes not recognising it?

I just bought my iphon last night & tried doing it`s first update this morning. I got an error message that the update failed & now my iphone only shows a pic of a usb cable with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo.I already tried holding down the on off buton & the home button like the instructions say. Problem is that when the instructions say I should be at the part where itunes is again recognizing my iphone, my itune is not recognizing my iphone. So I am stuck. I follow the instrustions, but the resluts are different, so I can`t continue to the next step. Very frustrated, as the nearest Apple store is over an hour`s drive away.

I tried to update my iPhone software (after successfully backing up to iCloud, and then successfully updating iTunes software) but got a 1604 error message. The phone is stuck in recovery mode, and all attempts to restore the phone have resulted in failure. I keep getting the same error message. Basically, the phone never gets past "preparing to restore." I am linking my iPhone 4 to a PC Windows XP Professional, with up-to-date software. This is the third time I've tried (and failed) to update the iPhone software, though the other two times I was able to restore. This time nothing seems to be working.

So I haven't been able to update my iphone, I get a 3194 error after loading the ipsw file. When I run a diagnostic I get a Secure link to iTunes Store failed error, which I think causes the problem. I have tried the netsh winsock reset fix, and still no results, as well as looking for LSP conflict.
Detailed Description ......
The network connection could not be established.
Last successful iTunes Store access was 2012-05-22 16:54:25.

I tried to update my iPhone 6 to the latest iOS 8.1.2 via lightning cable, but it failed for some reason because of an unknown error (17).
Now my iPhone won't update, restore or reset to factory settings... it is stuck in restore mode with the iTunes logo and cable showing on the screen.Â

I connected my BB 9300 Curve to my PC earlier this morning and it told me about this 6.0.0.668 update. So I updated my BB to that version, but now if I want to reboot the phone it keeps showing the 'white screen of death' until I do a battery pull to successfully reboot the phone.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi updated my software version 5, this took over 45mins, when it finally completed, the BB message was to reboot so i clicked ok. its been ober 40mins and the red light is flashing but the phone has not turned on!
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night I setup my phone to perform the new software update as I went to bed so that it would do it overnight. This morning? App error 602 and 603 with a white screen of death. When I turn the phone on it says backing up data (which I'm pretty sure it did completely last night), and it does not go progress... almost like there is no data to backup. I can't restore to factory defaults and I can't connect to the Desktop Manager for any period of time. I can't think of anything that I could do unless there was a way to restore the phone to factory defaults without the phone being turned on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter installing the Twitter update, my phone had been trying to reboot for over 30 minutes. It just keeps trying to boot up, and then stops and starts again. I am panicking! Did I just kill my phone by upgrading one of my apps? I took the battery and SIM card out for a while and nothing. My worst fear is that my phone is dead because I wanted to tweet which is ridiculous and now I'm gonna lose everything I have stored on it (pics, games, etc.).
