Annoying message displayed during the s6 start up?
"Failed to retrieve multimedia message please try later" is what it constantly displays.
As far i am aware i have deleted all old mms and have auto retrieve disabled on advice of the stage fright virus prevention,could it be that?
I have nokia E6-00 with belle, my device was working fine but recently i bought a new sim card. I am having the issue since my friend was trying to send me an MMS and I got an error:Memory low, unable to retrieve multimedia message close some applications first .This error is now very frustrating, even i am getting mms messages normaly but whenever I restrart the phone this error comes,Even I have formated the phone with all data erased but I got the same error again and again.

Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
I need to retrieve old messages my s5 would allow me to restore way back but this phone doesn't have one box preinstalled with Samsung.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?
I've been loving the 5.1.1 update but the messaging app has been a mixed bag, I've seen others complaining about the greyed out texts with timestamp and it's great group chats work now, but the problem I have been having is that the group chat messages don't come through about 80% of the time, I got a message of "you have a multimedia message ready to be downloaded" then when I try to download it I get a failure message.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy handset crashed due to loading 3rrd party applications. I get a message on the screen 'Reload Software:552' when I switch on the handset. The handset cannot be recognized by the desktop manager when it is plugged in. The handset ceases all its functions till the OS is restored or retrieved. One option is to go to the authorized service centre. But that is hundreds of miles away for from where I stay. Is there any other way that I can personally work on retrieving it.

While entering an SMS (text), when I reach a certain unknown number of written characters my N8 pops up message saying, 'Message type changed to multimedia msg.' There's-one-little-glitch: Where I live MMS service is - not - available! If I delete even one (1) character I get another pop up saying, 'Msg type changed to text msg.'
Nokia's solution: When the N8 tries to convert to mms go to Options > Sending Options > msg type > Text. Nokia's solution fails immediately after pressing 'Options' because there is NO 'Sending Options' option to select! How - can I disable/remove/get rid of this unwanted/forced MMS change over so I can write and send as many characters as I want/need in SMS (text).
Got my bb about 2 months ago and everything's working fine until today i couldnt retrieve email on my bb. i tried to reboot (hard) and reformat my phone but each time when i tried to reset the email settings, a message "your device had a problem connecting to the server" will appear.i'm using a bb bold 9700 currently.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a galaxy s5 made with Verizon that my mother bought for me unlocked and so I use at&t service and Sim card. I can send regular text messages fine but multimedia is an issue. I cannot send multimedia. I use the app that came on the phone that says Messaging instead of the Verizon messaging app. I'm not sure if I can use the Verizon one since I have at&t service. It is too expensive to switch everything to Verizon instead of the at&t stuff I bought. So... when I try to send a pic it takes forever and then says it failed everytime. If I try to select Download on any pic sent to me it takes forever then just doesn't ever do anything. I'm not sure why I'm having this issue and I've looked around for answers but haven't found anything that works. I've restarted the phone and my data is turned on. I have turned the WiFi on and off. What can I do to fix this and send and receive pics?

They issued me a new phone, and assured me that i woult be able to retrieve my camera roll photos after restoring my phone from backup. Everything restored to my phone EXCEPT the photos. Some of them are very important to me and i would like to know if there is a way to retreive all of the photos through my computer, phone or itunes.

When I try and reboot through the Xposed Framework I get the following error message everytime:

I have busbox installed. Not sure what else I'm doing wrong?
I know there are other software that may help to retrive the data but it doesn't work with encrypted backup.Now i have the password, i have the encrypted backup (failed to recover in itunes).What can i do? is it possible to remove the password from the encrypted backup provided that i have the password?

I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
Every day I get this message at the top of the screen stating:
"CONTACTS BACKUP" - network connection failed.
When I click it to get rid, it appears again the next day ..... I've been into the Contacts Menu and looked at Import/Export and More/Settings but I don't really know what to cancel or untick.
Twice now my new S2 has decided to send an MMS message without me doing anything. I don't ever want to use media messaging, so how do I turn it off?

I just updated my HEX MEID in this forum profile. My phone did the initial reboot but came back with Update Failed.Update Motorola Software says. An Update is currently being downloaded. You will be notified when the download is complete. There is no indication anything is happening. It's been this way for close to an hour now.

I cleared out the OS (Wipe) and tried to load a new one. But, during the process connecting to JVM, my phone always restarts failing the whole process. I am using desktop manager btw.
