Got my bb about 2 months ago and everything's working fine until today i couldnt retrieve email on my bb. i tried to reboot (hard) and reformat my phone but each time when i tried to reset the email settings, a message "your device had a problem connecting to the server" will appear.i'm using a bb bold 9700 currently.

ever since I installed the new facebook app on my blackberry bold 9700 the I can not check in on "Places" I also am having trouble with the new blackberry apps. I installed the new app last week and now the apps page is blank!

I have tried activating and de-activating Airplane Mode to get the phone searching for a signal again, but this no longer works.Â

My mom has literally had her BB 9700 for 2 weeks now and last night it just turned off and when she goes to turn it on it shows that it's turning on and shows the status bar only it doesn't go all the way and just turns right back on? I really don't feel like hassaling with t-mobile if there is another way to fix this!

My problem is that when I did a bettery pull a couple of days ago, my 9700 went into constant reboot. I was able to correct this by connecting to DM and reloading the OS (.714). This was the same OS I was previously using. Now, when I do a BP, the progress bar goes all the way to the end and it just freezes. I have to pull the battery again, and reload the same 714 OS from DM. No help from TMO online help, so I thought I would ask here.

Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme.

When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.
I've been having issues with my bb, while bbming and listening to music via the media player, minutes and even sometimes seconds after putting a song on my BB freezes up and reboots itself. I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to configure email using my bold 9700 handset. I have activated the data plan with Airtel provider (India) and the "edge" icon is displayed in lowercase on the main screen and when the same SIM is used in other blackberry handset, it works.
So the issue is with the handset and on boot it shows AT&T. Thereby i guess its unlocked phone, but unfortunately the seller is not taking it back and charged me original price which i got through internet shopping site [URL]
After installing OS6 i am not able to setup email on my bb,after setup it shows that new icon will be on the homescreen, but i don't see any icon.

I am trying to set up my email using POP. the problem is in "login information" my username suppose to be "abc@blabla.com" but it only appear as "abc" thus my blackberry is unable to sign in to the email that i want to set up; and i cannot edit this area because it is set automatically by my device. Before i used Curve 8310 with v4.5 i can sucessfully create similar account becuase the login appear to be "xyz@blabla.com" instead of just "xyz" in username space. I hope you can undestand my problem,
My Bold 9780 got the white screen of death. I have sent it off to get fixed, but while that is happening I have switched back to my old Bold 9700. When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I have tried logging in again multiple times but it still doesn't work, what shall I do???

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am unable to reply to emails with one my email accounts. To be more specific I can type in my response but when I hit the menu the send option is gone. The only choices I get are "save as draft" and "full menu".
I used the search but was not able to find a solution.
I am thinking this started to happen when I DL'ed v5.0.0.602. I tried practically everyone option available. I did the following in hopes for a fix:
- battery pull
- service books
- deleted the email account & re-added
I even did this combo: service books, deleted account, service books, added account & pulled battery.
I've enjoyed my BlackBerry for about a month now, no problems! However, I no longer see the email message folder. 42 unread messages that I am unable to access.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am currently using a BB 9700 Bold and unable to attach when sending email a file with size more than 5 Kb.Everytime I try to use a attachment more than 5 Kb, I am getting to following message : Total attachment size exeeds the maximum allowed size.
1. Is there any way to fix that?
2. What is the maximum size of attachment that can be used?
I use gmail and when I delete an email on the web, it doesn't delete on my BB. The same goes for when I open an email on the web, it doesn't show 'read' on my BB. Interestingly though, if I delete or read an email on my BB, the action is reciprocated on the web.And finally, if I send myself an email (either from the web or my BB), it appears on the web but not on my BB.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIt appears out of nowhere that I am unable to retrieve or send e-mails with my blackbery Torch when I am connected to the 3G network. Only when I connect to wifi am I able to do so. I called AT&T and was informed that there is a glitch in the blackberry OS that RIM is working on, but it appears that when you connect to wifi it creates an issue that makes it unable to get or send e-mail via 3G from now on.This is a terrible problem and I am seriously pissed off. For those of us that use our blackberry for e-mail and are not near a wifi spot, this is a terrible inconvenience.

When I first tried to set up an email address, I only had one option, and still only have one option which is a Blackberry Enterprise Server one. To try and set up my email I have to go to setup from the main menu, then to Setup Wizard, and then I have to go to email setup. As well as that, my facebook application doesn't work which I downloaded from facebook over blackberry internet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm the proud owner of a Bold delivered today, (software V5.0.0.545) running on the Vodafone network in the UK.I've set up my Yahoo email on the BB and under Email Reconciliation have selected "Delete on Mailbox and Handsets." My BB is receiving the Yahoo mails but if I delete an email on the BB it still appears in my Yahoo email inbox.Is there full synchronization between BB and Yahoo mail or have I made an error in the set-up? If Yahoo cannot synchronize will using Googlemail enable me to synchronize emails?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIve been playing in google for the last hour and cant find anythign that helps. this morning my 9700 crashed as it does regularly and it wont load again. it gets to the status bar, makes its way about 1/4 of the way down and then crashed and tries to reboot. started at 9 am this morning, ive tried hard and soft resets, the battery was out of it for over an hour, desktop manager cant do anything with it becase it keeps crashing while its connecting. a new phone is in the mail but i need this phone for work and i need to boot this thing in the next little while. again ive tried ctrl alt dlt methoed a few times, numerous battery pulls, battery sat out of the phone for over an hour, tried booting it with the battery out, tried conecting to it with the battery in and out to desktop manager and nothing has worked.

Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no functionality. i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? Though many of my contacts are still intact, others no longer show a secondary phone number I once entered, or some contacts seem to have disappeared completely.The strange thing is, when I dial one of the "lost" numbers manually, the contact's name does show up! But I can't find it in the list of contacts. I have already checked and unchecked the Business and Personal options in the filter menu, but that didn't do the trick.Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?note: this problem is not my own - I'm asking for a friend of mine

When I set the alarm and turn on the night modus and put the BB in the holster, once it starts ringing and I remove it from the holster, the BB crashes. The screen is completely white and does not react on any input. After a few seconds the BB automatically reboots.I have the newest OS installed.
