BB Bold 9700 :: Unable To View SMS & Mails
Jul 18, 2010I am facing this particular issue with my 9700 for the last two days or so.
I have following three mail accounts configured with my device;
1) Enterprise/ Office Mail ID (Folder Named as Desktop)
2) Yahoo Mail ID (Folder Named as Yahoo)
3) GMail ID (Folder Named as GMail)
Now in the Messages, Yahoo & SMS Folders; I am only able to view the mails from office mail id. The Messages folder which ideally comprise of messages from all the folders shows only the messages of the Desktop. Similarly for the Yahoo Folder. I am even not able to view my SMS in the SMS & MMS Folder.

Jan 14, 2010My 9700 recently started not letting me view my new text messages. For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

Sep 16, 2010I'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.

Nov 12, 2011I am not able to configure email using my bold 9700 handset. I have activated the data plan with Airtel provider (India) and the "edge" icon is displayed in lowercase on the main screen and when the same SIM is used in other blackberry handset, it works.
So the issue is with the handset and on boot it shows AT&T. Thereby i guess its unlocked phone, but unfortunately the seller is not taking it back and charged me original price which i got through internet shopping site [URL]

I am trying to set up my email using POP. the problem is in "login information" my username suppose to be "abc@blabla.com" but it only appear as "abc" thus my blackberry is unable to sign in to the email that i want to set up; and i cannot edit this area because it is set automatically by my device. Before i used Curve 8310 with v4.5 i can sucessfully create similar account becuase the login appear to be "xyz@blabla.com" instead of just "xyz" in username space. I hope you can undestand my problem,
BB Bold :: Unable To Activate Old Email Account On 9700
Mar 17, 2012My Bold 9780 got the white screen of death. I have sent it off to get fixed, but while that is happening I have switched back to my old Bold 9700. When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I have tried logging in again multiple times but it still doesn't work, what shall I do???

Aug 24, 2010For some reason I am unable to reply to emails with one my email accounts. To be more specific I can type in my response but when I hit the menu the send option is gone. The only choices I get are "save as draft" and "full menu".
I used the search but was not able to find a solution.
I am thinking this started to happen when I DL'ed v5.0.0.602. I tried practically everyone option available. I did the following in hopes for a fix:
- battery pull
- service books
- deleted the email account & re-added
I even did this combo: service books, deleted account, service books, added account & pulled battery.

Jun 27, 2012As of yesterday afternoon, I can no longer view the content of email on my iPhone. I can view it on my iPad and my iMac. When I open the email, there's no content. Contact and subject appear, but zero content. It seems to be chronically "checking for email" at the bottom of the screen, whereas the email downloading indicator at the top has finished. This issue is across all three of my email accounts.

Jan 28, 2010Since I did the OS 5 upgrade, i've noticed 2 very annoying bugs, I have looked through the forum and see no other mention of it. I wonder if anyone else has too?
1) You get an SMS and open it, and can be writing a reply and suddenly the message you were seeing above your reply Disappears! You have to come up one level, then back in to see the message.
2) Even worse than above sometimes, when you try to view an SMS from the list of messages/recipients, you are unable to open the message, so you can only see the first few words the only way to get the thread open again is to start composing a new SMS to that person, and then when the write message field opens, you can see previous message above.
I must admit, my love for the 9700 has diminished because of this. My Curve 8900 didn't have these issues and I'm beginning to think the upgrade was not worth it.

Jan 19, 2010I am a new 9700 user and am struggling a bit with SMS converstations with contacts who are also in my BB Messenger list.These conversations are showing as collapsed in the SMS view. They also appear in the BB Messenger conversations view but if I restart the handset they disappear from there and only appear in the SMS view.
I have attached an image of a "collapsed" SMS message. Look carefully at the blue horizontal line directly above Mon 18 Jan 2010. If I click on this, the conversation expands.Any thoughts on how I can prevent this from happening and have all SMS conversations visible. Ideally I would like to keep SMS and BB Messenger chats separate but am struggling to do this even after removing the link between the BB Messenger contact and the contact in my address book.

Jul 20, 2010I have got a Blackberry 9700 infront of me. When you go into the calender and scroll down the dates (in Agenda View) it seems to be stuck in a loop. For example today is the 21st you scroll down to the 24th then it loops back to either 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th or 21st again and again repeats this.
I have already wiped the handheld and reactivated on the BES. I have Issued a new 9700 and activated with the BES. I have Contacted out service providers and completed a sim replacement aswell as got them to ensure all settings were correct. I have removed the user from the BES and Readded, setting up all groups and policies needed. I have replicated all settings with a working blackberry.
