Oct 26, 2012Twice now my new S2 has decided to send an MMS message without me doing anything. I don't ever want to use media messaging, so how do I turn it off?

Sep 22, 2012On my current SII (before the ics upgrade & after) whenever sending an SMS text message over a certain length, the message "converting to multimedia message" appears. This did not happen with with my previous SII. It is mildly annoying.

Aug 1, 2011I'm not able to add any Instant Messaging accounts at all. Every time I try to add an account through the Social Hub and through the IM app, I get "Error Occurred".I was able to add Gmail and hotmail but I can't add any of the IM programs such as Windows live messenger and Google Talk.My phone is factory unlocked, stock kernel XWKF3.I tried calling Samsung for support, and they just told me to send the phone back, but I know it's not a problem with the phone.

Oct 4, 2012I'm using Samsung galaxy s2 unlocked from bell. ISP: Fido prepaid account, with unlimited texting add on. I am unable to recieve picture messaging (MMS). Does it require data to recieve data and are you able to use your wifi to recieve mms? When i receive the mms, it just keeps saying download. I have tried enabling data packet but that doesnt work. My VPN settings is:

Jun 21, 2011When I use the back button to exit from messaging and check in task manager messaging always shows as still active and I can only exit it from task manager. This also happens if I exit messaging via the home key.Would any one know please if this is usual and if so is there a way of exiting messaging so that it does not remain active in the task manager, or is this a fault?

Dec 9, 2011I opened the Messaging from one of the shortcuts at the bottom.I checked my message. I clicked the back button twice to reach my home screen.I can see that my Active applications shows that Messaging is still running?I had to "Exit" from Messaging through that.My thought was, when I hit the back button frmo the Messaging screen, it should close/exit that from the background (i.e.) it should not list in the Active Applications window?

Mar 24, 2010The multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?

Jul 18, 2011I have a bit of a strange problem - my SGSII is about 2 months old now. Last month, when I was in poor signal areas, the phone automatically went to 3G and 2G. This month, it won't work.'ve tried everything I can think of - . Turned off Wi-Fi2. Long pressed the power button to make sure that data network mode is on3. Went to Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Mobile Networks. My 'use packet data' is checked. Network mode is GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) is selected, although I have also selected the 'GSM only' and 'WCDMA only' options to no avail. or the 'Access Point Names' option, I only have one option which is 'PAYG WAP', which is strange because I am on a monthly contract!

Jul 12, 2015So I have a galaxy s5 made with Verizon that my mother bought for me unlocked and so I use at&t service and Sim card. I can send regular text messages fine but multimedia is an issue. I cannot send multimedia. I use the app that came on the phone that says Messaging instead of the Verizon messaging app. I'm not sure if I can use the Verizon one since I have at&t service. It is too expensive to switch everything to Verizon instead of the at&t stuff I bought. So... when I try to send a pic it takes forever and then says it failed everytime. If I try to select Download on any pic sent to me it takes forever then just doesn't ever do anything. I'm not sure why I'm having this issue and I've looked around for answers but haven't found anything that works. I've restarted the phone and my data is turned on. I have turned the WiFi on and off. What can I do to fix this and send and receive pics?

May 18, 2012I`m having this strange issue that happens regardless of what battery I put in the phone it seems. If I turn my phone off and want to turn it back on I cannot regardless of the battery level of the phone. I keep getting the exclamation mark start screen whenever I try after turning my phone off.
Just like the one below (it is not my phone in the picture, I just want to show you the exclamation mark warning message I get everytime), indicating it is overheated, but it can`t be overheated EVERY time I try to turn the phone off and back on? [URL]
However if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger I have no problem at all.

Jul 28, 2011My phone wont stay off, i turn it off but it reboots automatically, also the car mode keeps activating randomly/randomly thinks it is charging and connected to a pc.
I updated it to the latest firmware via kies as well. Edit: Phone is not rooted and alarm clock plus is also another app that randomly starts.
