View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy s6. I was really excited as I had heard nothing but good things.
Unfortunately the reality is very disappointing. My phone restarts itself all the time (6x in the last hour alone) and there are constant 'Unfortunately app x has stopped working' messages (15 in the last hour). The applications that crash are everything from FB to the keyboard to the Play Store, nothing consistent.
I have tried starting in safe mode to check if it was a third party app causing the problem, deleting the app cache, wiping the cache partition, a soft reset, a hard factory reset. Unfortunately nothing works and the problems continue.
I'm running Android version 5.1.1
Battery draining faster today. How can I check what apps are running on my Samsung Galaxy S5?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile I was charging the phone with lead to my PC i turned the phone on, Then blue light LED came on and nothing else happens next.. i have tried all the buttons, and everything fails. I even wiped the Data on the phone too!
When i try pressing the different buttons to start the phone it comes up as normal with samsung galaxy s6 powered as android then after that just black screen with the blue led light stuck on, but when i charge it it goes to charge screen when i press power button and down..
I was just playing a game, the phone got hot and turned off. I let it cool, it wouldn't turn on again. I noticed the blue light in the upper left stayed on and the phone was pulsing/vibrating a bit. I have been charging the phone for the last hour thinking that might be the issue. No. The blue light is still on. I tried removing the battery and SD card for 10 seconds before retrying to boot my phone. Nothing abut blue light and some pulses from time to time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed that lots of apps do load when the phone starts (boots up), and some of them I really do not need them (until I use them), so they keep running in the back (memory).
Is there a way of preventing apps to load when the phone starts up; or any good (and free) app that I can select the apps I don't whant to be loaded when the phone starts up?
I got a Samsung Galaxy S5 yesterday (moving over from a windows phone) and it's taking some getting used to. The lack of a 'silent' function is annoying, but the part that is strange is the fully charged notification.
I suffer from insomnia and I finally got to sleep last night, only to be woken up by the phone vibrating to let me know it was fully charged. I wasn't able to get back to sleep for hours then, and I'm dreading it happening again tonight! How can I turn this notification off?
have galaxy s6, while on device. it power cycled & erased all info. only able to get screen "Verify Google Account" phone was reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S2 GT -19100 from Sprint. I am fairly computer/tech savvy and previously had an iphone which I jailbroke, but have moved on to the wonderful, open architecture of Android.Right out the box I downloaded Odin and quickly figured out how to root the phone. After customizing it and downloading numerous apps, I quickly realized that the phone has a bug that causes it to drop calls and lose it's signal. I waited patiently for an update, however when the update finally came out, it was apparent that my phone would not update. It would try to reboot and then it would hang on the message of E:"Failed to verify whole-file signature". I tried some simple solutions such as wiping out the data and doing a factory reset. When I tried solutions that involved loading something from the SD card, it gives an error that it won't mount. I don't know if that's because it is looking for an external card (which it doesn't have) or if it's not "mounting" the internal one.
I have ROM Manager on my phone which has a Clockwork Mod Recovery option that I tried using, but like the example above, it hangs on the same message.Another site suggested that when something like this happens, you need to flash the kernel. I was going to try and use Odin to do that, but I am unsure of which kernel would be appropriate. Half the problem seems to be figuring out which kernel I currently have. I do not seem to be getting the same information as other get when looking at "About Phone" in the settings. Here are all of my specs:
Model number: SPH-D710
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: s: D710.10 S.EG30
Build version: Gingerbread.EG30
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7
Other websites tell you to find your kernel version by checking the phone and that it should be something like: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF1-CL256340 root@DELL106. All I have is 2.6.35.7.
Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a bit of a strange problem - my SGSII is about 2 months old now. Last month, when I was in poor signal areas, the phone automatically went to 3G and 2G. This month, it won't work.'ve tried everything I can think of - . Turned off Wi-Fi2. Long pressed the power button to make sure that data network mode is on3. Went to Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Mobile Networks. My 'use packet data' is checked. Network mode is GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) is selected, although I have also selected the 'GSM only' and 'WCDMA only' options to no avail. or the 'Access Point Names' option, I only have one option which is 'PAYG WAP', which is strange because I am on a monthly contract!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI`m having this strange issue that happens regardless of what battery I put in the phone it seems. If I turn my phone off and want to turn it back on I cannot regardless of the battery level of the phone. I keep getting the exclamation mark start screen whenever I try after turning my phone off.
Just like the one below (it is not my phone in the picture, I just want to show you the exclamation mark warning message I get everytime), indicating it is overheated, but it can`t be overheated EVERY time I try to turn the phone off and back on? [URL]
However if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger I have no problem at all.
My phone wont stay off, i turn it off but it reboots automatically, also the car mode keeps activating randomly/randomly thinks it is charging and connected to a pc.
I updated it to the latest firmware via kies as well. Edit: Phone is not rooted and alarm clock plus is also another app that randomly starts.
Got my favourite song on CD and want it as a ringtone. Have been able to do it on other phones but cant see how to do it here??

If I put it on vibrate or silent, and go into an app (or accidentally press the home button twice - damn that button!) it will still play the sounds. Kies doesn't have an option that says it backups apps? Gives me backup options of messages, phone contacts, settings etc but not apps? When I tell the program to back up everything. I just get ONE sbu file? Can I not back up apps individually?Even backed up on SD card is better then nothing?
just got S2, put in my old sim and SD card, but no sign of my apps that were on my S.
Can I get my paid for apps, Titanium Backup Pro etc., onto my S2 without paying again?
