I keep getting the unsupported multimedia file error message when some people send pics. Both are from Iphones, but yet I have received others from an Iphone!
I recorded a video using my LG G4 phone, and when I play it back on my G4, while watching it, I get an error "Cannot Play Video, unsupported file type". The video freezes, but I can still hear the video. I never had this issue with Samsung. How do I resolve it?
using OpenCore (under the stock audio player), the media player will not play newer MP3 files with high bit-rate encoding. Any of my MP3 files encoded in such a manner come up unsupported and will not play. However, lo and behold, I put the MP3s on my ORIGINAL DROID, and they play just fine using Stagefright (under the stock audio player) in Froyo. Attempting to use Stagefright on the X2 results in skipping/stuttering with these files (though there are no issues with other files). So, what now? After all of the music skipping/stuttering issues, certain MP3 files are now just completely unsupported? What gives? I continue to be completely and utterly let down by this POS phone and the complete lack of support.
I tried to format the card and mount it. When I press format SD card, erase SD card box appears, I confirm Erase everything appears, I select it. Then I select Mount SD card, but nothing happens. I cannot take pictures. The phone works. When I insert SD card in my PC it shows a bunch of folders (all empty).
I have ringtones and voice notes that I recorded with my phone that have worked previously. My ring tones have stopped playing and I can't play back my voice notes. When I tried to play them from Media an error message comes up and says: The media being played is of an unsupported format. I am almost positive that I haven't changed any settings. It could be possible since I have children but I don't think so. Just purchased the phone and I am unable to install any apps from the Google Play Store. They all come back with the Error. Package file is invalid message. Not sure why since this is a brand new phone with nothing added.
I have several MP4 encoded movie files that played perfectly with my DX but won't play with the default Video Player app on my DX2. It gives me the error: File cannot be displayed or played.MoboPlayer, a third party video player, will play the files fine. QuickPic's player will not. Nor will the bundled app RockPlayer Lite.I reformatted the SD card within the DX2 (it was the same 16 GB card that I took from my DX) before I transferred any video files to it.Anyone have any ideas about what I can try? I would rather use the default Video Player app. Also, the playback using MoboPlayer seems a bit choppy. I was expecting much smoother playback on the DX2 with it's dual core processor and improved graphics accelerator hardware.
I had my droid 4 on and charging as always last night and when I woke up this morning the SD card is reporting as blank or unsupported. Power cycle of phone hasn't helped. I'm working on tracking down a micro sd adapter to check via a pc.
I was looking through the Play Store and noticed something odd - it's showing me that MotoCast is "unsupported" for my Droid Razr Maxx running ICS 4.0.4 even though I have the app on my phone already and it is CLEARLY working fine.
I'm using the stock email client on a Droid3 and a DroidX with a Verizon POP3 email account. If an Office 2007 file is sent as an attachment (.docx, .xslx, .pptx) it shows up a "unsupported file type" and cannot be downloaded or saved. I have both QuickOffice and DocumentsToGo installed and the files open fine with those apps and are recognized attachments I use the K9 email client with the same Verizon POP3 email account. Is there any way to get the stock email client to recognize that .docx, etc are valid file attachments and allow them to be downloaded and viewed
When I plug the phone into the USB port on my PC it charges. When I plug the Multimedia dock into the PC and dock my phone it does not.I moved from the Droid1 to the Droid4 and have a dock from my Droid1 that works as it should. The new Multimedia dock for my Droid 4 will not charge the phone while docked unless I plug it into the dedicated charging plug. Doing this, I lose the ability to transfer data back and forth via USB.
I have the multimedia base (desktop cradle) for my Droid X. Every time I click on the 'home' button it goes to the home screen for the MultiMedia Base, and not the regular Droid home menu. This is a pain, because every time I want to use an app, I first have to press the 'X' on the MultiMedia home screen to get to the regular Droid menu. The worst thing about the Multimedia menu, is that on many phone calls I recieve while the phone is in the Multimedia base, when I 'X' out of the menu, it goes to the Droid menu and not to the Answer Phone window...by the time i get to the menu to answer the phone the caller is gone.
Since the 2.3.4 update (and the factory reset that went with it) I'm getting my notification sounds at night while in the charging cradle. I thought the cradle software was supposed to automatically mute those notification sounds, but there must be something I've not set right somewhere. Anyone know how to fix it?
I'd like to have some sample videos on my phone to show clients and potential clients, but a short test video I converted into mp4 gets an error message "File cannot be displayed or played".The file is not large nor long - 848x480,18MB, 1 minute 48 sec.compressed via Sorensen Squeeze v6 with MainConcept H264 codec at 1388kbps.
When I attempt to take a picture with the camera, I get an error message - File System error (12) How do I get it to keep a picture? I don't have a sim card.
I have a Droid X which has the Gingerbread update received OTA. I do not know if this is a Gingerbread issue, I just know it started recently.
When I put my phone in the Motorola Multimedia Dock (SPN5612A) my phone rapidly cycles between charging and not charging. It constantly flashes the "Disconnected" message which advises that I unplug the power adaptor to save the Earth. Power cycling the phone does not change this behavior.
I have taken the plug from the back of the dock and plugged it directly into my phone and the phone charges normally, so I know it has something to do with the multimedia dock. I also use the Motorola Car Dock (don't know model #) and my phone charges fine there, as well as with several different power adaptors, including one from my old HTC Droid Eris.
I just upgraded from the original droid and I am a little frustrated by the DroidX2.While the phone is docked, the notification sound is randomly (seemingly) going off, multiple times thoughout the night. I have the button unchecked for notification of full charge and I am on my second piece of hardware. Does anyone know how to stop the random notification sounds?
download on messages with pictures, i.e. 30kb in content, are extremely slow, takes over an hour, getting MMS configuration messages when attempting to send pictures. how to modify or re-set MMS speed or linkage?
Less than a minute after putting my phone in the Dock, the screen saver comes on making it very difficult to see the digital clock at night, even with the screen brightness set to max. This makes the Dock applications almost useless.
Is anyone else having this problem? When I try to watch a movie with Netflix I recieve :"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit the Netflix Website (1009)"I contacted Netflix and they had no idea on how to fix it. I was unable to locate a fix with Motorola either.
When connecting a Droid Razr Maxx to our Mercedes via bluetooth, we get a text message import error every time whether or not we have any text messages on the phone. Any ideas? The dealer worked on this today and found that all the other phones which were owned by employees worked without this message.
I have an LG g3 and i have downloaded showbox but once i have downloaded a film, it says it is unsupported file when i go to watch it... How do i watch the downloaded film??
I am having a problem with my Droid Bionic. Whenever I try to view pictures, through the camera or gallery, I get an error message that reads, "Phone memory is full, not enough memory to start application. delete some files." Because of this, I have had no access to any of my pictures.
I have deleted many files and do not think there are more that can be deleted without losing things that I need. I have deleted some apps from the phone. How do I clear the cache on the phone?
When I try to forward a text message to more than 10 people by using the contacts menu to select the recipients, the message changes from text message to multimedia message.
Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
What should I do to access word files in my media card? my Doc to go displays an error message saying "this file cannot be opened because its an RTF file"
After upgrading to Gingerbread I noticed that when I go to the recent apps screen and I try to open Tweetdeck (seems to be the only app that does this) I get a "Application is not installed on phone" error message. Which makes no sense because it's running in the background and opens fine. I've cleared my cache and uninstalled and reinstalled TD and still get the error. Assuming this is a bug, but it seems weird to only happen for a specific app.
