I was looking through the Play Store and noticed something odd - it's showing me that MotoCast is "unsupported" for my Droid Razr Maxx running ICS 4.0.4 even though I have the app on my phone already and it is CLEARLY working fine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I connect my phone to the original USB cable the Motocast USB program starts running and then it says please wait while Motocast USB loads your content, and finally the MML has stopped working window pops up with the only option to close the program. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:

MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
I had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

I lost my 5 posts, 69 comments and 2way pager stats. Did I do something wrong when I logged on using the motocast id and password or did everyone lose their old stats after the new logon id?

Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?
Starting yesterday I have seen the above message 3 times. The only thing I have changed on the phone was to enable Motocast yesterday. Also, I replaced the 16GB SD card with a 32GB SD card, early last week. I've only had the phone for about a month. I have been able to power the phone off and reboot and get the phone functioning again. Last night it took 2 reboots before the phone became functional again. What can I look for to determine whats causing the error?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter the Market was replaced with "Play" I had replaced the home screen icon with the new one, and it had been working fine for days. But this morning the icon on the desktop was no longer connected to the new Play Store.Or anything else.
I couldn't get it to fire up from the app drawer either, so I took a look at the application manager in Settings. One of the uptions was "uninstall updates" so I figured if I did that it would go back to the original Market and then I could let everything update from there.
That appears to have been a mistake. I got an error that said it was unable to uninstall the updates, but now the app manager shows the Play Store has a 0KB size, and it still doesn't launch.
in the gallery? So was I. Sometimes it would take some time for them to all load and be viewable, that is until I installed an app simply called "Rescan SD.You press the app and it instantly updates the contents of your SD card. Now my pictures load up automatically with no problem at all.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy Razr constantly detects a HDMI cable connection, even though there is no HDMI cable near it (not even a USB cable is connected). A popup keeps showing up asking me to "Select Dock Type". This has been really annoying, as I need to dismiss it every time it shows up. I can't find a way to disable the detection of the HDMI cable.
This problem started after 2 weeks into owning the phone, back in mid December. I called Verizon technical support. They thought it was a hardware defect, and sent me a replacement phone. However, when I received the phone, I found that it was a refurbished phone with a big scratch on the side. I returned it and kept my original one.
Other than this problem, everything runs great, and I love my Razr. My question is: has anyone seen this problem? I have learned to deal with it by dismissing the popup every time I unlock the screen. Can a future software update include a setting where I can disable the HDMI detection?
Have noticed that if I add a new widget from the market, the only way to get it to show up in the app tray is to power off/on the phone. I check the Apps Manager, and they are there, but not in the Apps/Widget tray until the power off/on sequence.
Do we need a refresh option in the tray or is this an isolated issue with my phone. Has anyone else experienced this.
When ever I try to play a video on a site called worlstarhiphop my RAZR maxx does not play the video. A friend of mine owns a tablet and his tablet plays the videos on that site his tablet opens the video player to play the video but my DROID RAZR maxx doesnt do anything do I need flash player to play the videos or my phone just can't play the videos on that site.

I'm playing the music using play music and I know the audio files do not have the skips normally. I've noticed it when the screen is off. Now the little shortcut in Blurs launcher gives an error when you click on it (the one in the top right). It says that the "Application is not installed in your phone". Seems like the update broke the path/link.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Handcent SMS for texting. I just received my Razr Maxx last week. I can not get the texting program to show the pictures of my contacts. I think the problem has something to do with Verizon Backup Assistant +. If I go in manually for the contact and put the contact photo in, then I can see them in Handcent SMS. I have many contacts, and I really don't want to do this manually.

View 8 Replies View RelatedTwice now since I have gotten this phone the bluetooth has stopped working until I reboot. I do not know how to reproduce this error on demand, yet. What I have noticed/tried: This is with a setreo headset. Bluetooth was working. After not using it for a couple of hours I get a call. I notice that the bluetooth indicator is still blue, but the bluetooth button on the phone dialer screen is disabled and audio comes through regular phone earpiece. After call I try some music but I hear nothing. I turn off the headset and the indicator on the phone turns grey. I turn the headset back on and the indicator turns blue and I get both the phone and stereo audible connect indicators in my headset. Still no sound when playing music. After a reboot bluetooth works as expected. I have a log from the time while I was performing the tests if any admin people would like it.

I can find and play music tracks but as soon as I hit the "home" key the music pauses. Basically, any time I exit the player, the music stops.. So I can listen to music OR do anything else.. annoying? yes!
If I press the "home" key or exit any other way - The widget on the home screen reverts to "Go to music dashboard" and if I press to un-pause the music, I am taken back to the "My Music" homescreen and have to re-select a song.
fix / workaround / another music player (one with Motocast capability?). Can i re-install "my music" or reset something?

My razr maxx all the sudden ended up with 15000 contacts in it. I should have about 200 at the most. No fooling, they are all email addresses. Of course only 200 are ones I know. How do I remove them?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo at first I thought that the Razr had a weak WiFi reception. So I decided to install a WiFi access point in my office, basically on my desk. I connected the Razr to it but yet, it still occasionally shows a low signal or drops the connection completely then reconnects, works for a bit then drops it again. I'm at a point where I had to turn WiFi off on my phone because it was draining my battery so fast from flipping between the Cellular network and WiFi network way to often. I also have a Glaxy Tab 7.0 Plus connected to the same access point and it never drops a connection and it shows 100% strong on the signal.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOn my Razr Maxx I could select 'play playlist' as part of a smart action. My Razr Maxx HD doesn't have that option. It does have a 'play music' option but when selected it says no playlists found despite their existence on the sd card and in internal memory.
