Jun 30, 2012And my only problem so far, is my motocast says that the computer is offline. It is not, motocast is running on the computer, accounts are all synced, but i can not upload, or access the files on my computer.

Aug 6, 2012Every time I connect my phone to the original USB cable the Motocast USB program starts running and then it says please wait while Motocast USB loads your content, and finally the MML has stopped working window pops up with the only option to close the program. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.

Nov 18, 2011I just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:
Error during video playback
MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.

Apr 24, 2012I had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

Feb 22, 2012Wasnt just a mere week ago, I had un installed and re installed the Motocast Software; all was fine til about a day or two ago when I noticed that my Shortcut icon of Motocast is no more; want a pic? I'll upload it in a min.
Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?

Jun 16, 2012Starting yesterday I have seen the above message 3 times. The only thing I have changed on the phone was to enable Motocast yesterday. Also, I replaced the 16GB SD card with a 32GB SD card, early last week. I've only had the phone for about a month. I have been able to power the phone off and reboot and get the phone functioning again. Last night it took 2 reboots before the phone became functional again. What can I look for to determine whats causing the error?

Mar 4, 2012I've happily purchased a Motorola RAZR XT910 and have setup my POP email account, which sends and receives happily when on 3G (connected to optus)At work and home I have wireless access which allows me to browse and to receive emails. But I have errors when trying to send when connected wirelessly.Problem is when trying to send emails when connected via wireless. Quite correctly it has smtp errors as the smtp setting is for the 3g carrier (mail.optusnet.com.au). So question is "How do you configure the Motorola RAZR XT910 Droid to allow a secondary SMTP setting when in an allowed and configured wireless zone?"I should not have to turn off my wireless and should not have to manually change the smtp setting each time I want to send from inside the wireless connection.I tried setting up a second account with just the smtp being different (eg. mail.carrier.com.au) but was unable to setup the account as it said the account was already setup.

Sep 7, 2012I noticed on my Razr that when I receive a new email I see the LED flash Green. When I get a Facebook or Gmail notice the LED flashes Blue. I have looked on the phone to try and see these settings for the LED color and cannot find a setting.

Motorola Motocast :: Any Clear Specification Available What 'album Art' Is Displayed
Mar 12, 2012I'm using MotoCast on my Droid Razr for playing music located on my sd-card. The music has been synced via the MotoCast sychronisation to the directory /mobile/ mml/wmp is is categorized on first level into directories named by the artist and on second level into directories namedby the album.After some work I managed to get the album art be displayed in MotoCast for almost all albums, except a few. For those I see the album art on my PC from which the syncing happend in the windows media player and in Mediamonkey. I also see the album art in the "Cover Art Downloader" and in the "Cover Art Grabber". But in MotoCast it is not there ...!!?
Is there any clear specification available what "album art" is displayed in MotoCast? It seems to be cached somehow beyond the normal caching of the list of media files by the Android "media storage".

Nov 16, 2011I just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I was able to connect it to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer some songs. But I cannot set up Motocast wireless, however. Every time I try, it checks for a wireless connection, then goes to a set up Motocast wireless screen. It sits there for a couple of seconds, then the programs just exits.
I have read through the forum, and based on some other recommendations I saw there, I unistalled Java, and went to java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have disabled my Windows Firewall, and stopped Real Time Protection on my Microsoft Security Essentials. I also unistalled the Motocast program, which had first loaded from my phone, and downloaded Motocast from [URL]

Feb 24, 2012I set up Motocast wireless without any issues, but cannot access the files after uploading/syncing. I can see my files listed, but they will not open. I can access mymotocast from my desktop and open the files with out a problem. On my phone (Electrify) I can change tabs (files, music, videos) and highlight my desktop's name, but cannot change the layout (list or thumbs), or open any of the files. There should not be any DRM issues, as all content is either personal, academic, or work-related.The only interaction that I can get is when long-pressing the filenames a javascript prompt comes up: bookmark link or copy link. I am at a loss.

In fact, I noticed my Maxx's screen was darker than the Droid 4's in the store the other day, and I went into the Brightness settings and found Display Power Saver unchecked, so I checked it just to see what happened, and the screen got brighter. My brightness is always on Auto. Unchecking it had no effect. Since then I've been able to detect no difference with it checked or unchecked.

You can't answer it but it rings and rings etc. My question is what do you do if your phone is ringing but you can't answer it because of a broken display. This mainly comes from a safety question as if you were in a car, bicycle type of accident and your display was busted. Only damage was from the screen display of the phone. Sep 1, 2012MotoCast Wireless needs an option to only use music files from "my_music/folder/path/" or, alternatively, only use music files from my iTunes library.As it stands, MotoCast Wireless settings ask nebulously for the paths to, "[any and all] folders containing media and documents you want to be remotely accessible."Because some programs keep files that are technically "media" type files in the documents path, my MotoCast Library online shows up with a pantload of "songs" by "unknown artist".My meticulously maintained music library has ZERO tracks by "unknown artist". Ditto for "unknown album". Same for "songs" with no name or no genre. MotoCast is, without asking me, including all sorts of sound effect and video clip and other mish-mash of media riff raff that it has tumbled upon in my document folders..It's nice that you want MotoCast to be an all'round helpful product, but the document functions need to be separated from the music and the pictures, and each of those should be separated from the documents.
