It looks like when I logged on using my motocast id, I lost all of my old settings and statistics. I had to resign up for everything including giving my meid number again. I lost my 5 posts, 69 comments and 2way pager stats. Did I do something wrong when I logged on using the motocast id and password or did everyone lose their old stats after the new logon id?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I connect my phone to the original USB cable the Motocast USB program starts running and then it says please wait while Motocast USB loads your content, and finally the MML has stopped working window pops up with the only option to close the program. I have uninstalled the program and re-installed a new version of it, but that doesn't seem to work. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have downloaded a patch that I replaced, even though when I tried to replace it the computer told me I required administrator authorization. However when I proceeded with this action it seems to have replaced the old one with the new one.I have no idea what to do, nor know where to find the problem in writing to post somewhere. My computer knowledge is very limited.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:

MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
I had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

Well once again this is my weekend and again I usually use Motocast on my days off and lol once again I'm having issues. Tried playing back a video file but alas stops within 30seconds. I play again and it stops within 30seconds. Or Ill start to play a file and it takes seconds upon seconds upon seconds just to play the video file.
I do enable Wifi prior to using Motocast so I wouldnt think it has to do with that; but I am pretty sure that when my graphic shortcut icon goes corrupt so does my actual application for it to work properly.
Question is, why does it keep happening? Is it because my Windows Operating System performs some sort of update and causes it go haywire?
Starting yesterday I have seen the above message 3 times. The only thing I have changed on the phone was to enable Motocast yesterday. Also, I replaced the 16GB SD card with a 32GB SD card, early last week. I've only had the phone for about a month. I have been able to power the phone off and reboot and get the phone functioning again. Last night it took 2 reboots before the phone became functional again. What can I look for to determine whats causing the error?

(both share same login name & password.)Many times clicking on the link in email (mostly long ones) I go to an error page and end up digging up the post myself.Many times when I post a comment, the wait time between clicking to submit the post and the time it posts and releases the page is quite long.I use either stock browser or Chrome 3g or wifi all combos have the issues.I am wondering where I can find high usage times on the forum [ EST ] to see if some of this is due to my being on during high usage times.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had the Razr Maxx HD for a couple of months without any problems. After updating to JB, I now have a consistent problem with the phone freezing and then rebooting whenever I move out of one of my Wi-Fi APN connections. For example, while at home and connected to my home Wi-Fi, the phone is fine. As soon as I walk outside and leave my Wi-Fi coverage area, the phone will freeze. A few minutes later it will reboot on its own. Same thing at work. When I enter one of my "remembered" Wi-Fi APN coverage areas, the phone will connect OK and work OK through Wi-Fi, but as soon as I leave the area, it freezes. If I disable W-Fi, no more problems.
An exception to this is that recently I stayed several days at a hotel and connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, and had no problems whatsoever when I left the hotel on numerous occassions.
One of the major reasons for me buying the Droid Razr, was because it had the Bluetooth "MAP" Profile.SMS messages would sync directly to my car. The BMW Voice Module would read the messages to me.This use to work with my car, but since the software Maintence Upgrayyde, I have lost this function. 2012 BMW with Bluetooth.

Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
I suppose I never paid too much attention to this Data Usage app in settings and it's accuracy. My bill resets on the 9th of each month meaning i run from (BOD) 9th-8th (EOD) of each month. I have the app set to begin on the 9th of course, but it continues to display 8th-8th of each month. Is this just the way it is or am I missing something? Shouldn't the tally show date begin to date end? This configuration effectively adds one extra day to the count. It's a small inconvenience I suppose due to my unlimited plan and that I can wait an extra day to move the slider over by one day, but I'd like to keep a rough record so that I know approx data used just in case one day I have to tone it down to a shared data plan.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe camera app will not keep settings after closing the app. I don't mean the settings that are in the settings menu (like resolution selection and volume key selection) but the settings like: Flash Mode, Camera Mode (HDR, etc.), Exposure Level. Everytime I close the app I have to reselect all of these settings.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMotorola should probably disable the disabling ability of the App "Verizon Login"although this is not found in your app drawer it is under Apps > ALL and can be disabled.if like me one of the first things you did with your phone was run through the apps list and uninstall any updates and then disable everything that had Verizon included in its name and maybe a few other or everything that you can disable.you want to keep this one not disabled if you plan to use anything like NFL Mobile or listed as a Verizon app. i did not diagnose all apps that could be affected but the fact that this particular process caused me to have something not work has made me leave it enabled for good.this again may not be needed for everyone but i wanted to mention that if something is giving you network issues check this is not disabled.to check go to settings > apps > all > verizon login > check that it is allowed?

On the Verizon site I get a message during activation saying my unlimited data plan is not compatible and I am given other data options. Unlimited is included in the list so I am not worried about switching TO the old phone. My question is this:
If you are reactivating a 4G device coming from a 3G-only device, will you lose your grandfathered unlimited data plan on Verizon?
My Droid Razr HD lost sync with both my gmail and yahoo email today. It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue.An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account.The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. It also pops up sometimes that username and password are incorrect which they aren't.

However, I have noticed that there are times when I move from the default screen to the Quick Settings screen on the left, that there is significant lag. Once you move over, sliding back and forth is smoother. But that initial lag seems like a problem; I have a friend with a Droid Razr M that does not have this problem (he is on official Jelly Bean, think this makes a difference?) Does anyone else see this lag?

(See image below at right; WiFi fan icon shows weaker connection while much stronger one is available.)2. Also; it seems that the ICS WiFi system can even confuse itself about which AP it is actually using. ee the photo attached below at left where the settings reports that it has excellent signal strength from an AP that is a few feet away. Note that the WiFi fan icon in the notification bar is showing the signal strength of a more distant AP. There are times when this situation can be reversed; where the fan shows strong but the settings shows weak.
View 14 Replies View RelatedPrior to the ICS upgrade I was able to receive and view text messages through Ford Sync. After the upgrade I still have the MAP option toggles available on Ford Sync setup screens but Sync doesn't display a new text message notification and when I tell it to download existing text messages from the phone it starts to and then displays "downloading error". I've unpaired and paired the Razr Maxx several times without success. One of the primary reasons I bought the Razr Maxx over other phones was because it supported the MAP profile.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy new Motorola Droid Razr has had an issue from day one, the data connection ramdomly but on at least a daily basis the phone looses it's data connection. A hard re-boot has solved these issues so far, until today.
I was told that a software update to solve this issue is already in the works. When will it be available??
I got the ICS update, but now my smart actions cannot control notification volume...? Also, I cannot link volumes anymore, so the volume buttons do nothing for me anymore. Turn down ringer, sure....but then notifications and alerts just blast through without having to manually adjust each one! Why was this removedAlso, since the update, the emal widget only allows you to select either one account to display, or all combined?? Why? I have 6 accounts...combined view is just a mess. On GB, you could select the account right there on the widget. Now, you have to go into the email, then switch it. Even then, the widget reverts to the first one you set up. This is annoying and I do not get why this would be removed?That is the same for the news widget and the social media app...where did they go? They were better than any other widgets out there and now they are gone...unless I am just looking in the wrong place?

Motorola's support section says that Optimum recommends using a browser to access mobile email (what???? I have to go get it??? It won't come to me???) but then provides the settings to use in the email app. Using auto configuration, I'm receiving my email in seconds, but I can't send email from the phone. I've tried to configure it manually (the automatic configuration provides the wrong name for the outgoing server) but so far, no combination of settings has resulted in my ability to send an email from optimum on my Droid Razr.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe Motorola support page that tells you how to do a factory data reset gives two methods: Settings and External Keys. It also says that using the Settings method is preferable. Does anyone know why the Settings method is preferred? Is the outcome of both methods the same? The instructions (and user guide) say that the Settings method doesn't erase your external SD card, and will only erase internal storage if you choose to. Does the External Keys method work the same way? (I've used those key strokes to clear the data cache, but can't remember what the other choices are).
