Sep 9, 2010Everything on my phone is working fine except for email. This started when my service was cut off for a few hours because we forgot to pay the bill. At first no internet was working, but then I deleted a service book (something like blackberry internet 2) and everything works now including facebook, browser and BBM. I'm still not getting emails though. I have redone the registration and reset the phone countless times.

Anyway, it seemed fine after that except that I have noticed that the screen wont work when the phone is closed. It will not diplay who is calling or who a text is from until I open it. I can see the blackberry uploaing when I reset the phone for a few seconds, and then it goes black and I cant do anything until sliding the phone open.My first thought is that there is something wrong with the way the cable was put in. It works better than ever when it is open, but not when it is closed.

Oct 24, 2015I have a new S6 on Verizon and am trying to connect to the WiFi network at my office. I'm able to connect to the WiFi at my home, but that's the only other one I've tried.
The WiFi at work uses a dual-step authentication, where you connect to the WiFi and then browse to an internet site, where you are first directed to a page where I must accept their Terms & Conditions. However, this page is never shown on my phone - the browser just said there is no network.
In fact, when I click on Connect on the WiFi entry for my office network, it says "Connecting..." and then nothing. No WiFi icon in the status bar or any error is shown.
I've shown this to our IT folks and they have no answer - they simply state that everyone else is able to connect (although I have the only S6 it seems).
I've read through the WiFi troubleshooting guide I've seen in other posts, but nothing seemed to work.
I've rebooted the phone, "forgot" the wifi and re-created it - nothing works.
The phone is running Android 5.1.1
I've contacted Verizon support and they suggested that I do a factory reset on the phone, but I hate to go to such an extreme step. Is there any way I can debug the issue to determine why it is not connecting on the WiFi?
BB Torch :: Unable To Work If Connected To The Mains?
Dec 29, 2011I have had a 9860 Torch for 15 months with Orange now, with no problems to mention. The phone however started to play up, the battery seem to run dry very quickly and I had to put it on charge daily without having used the phone much, ie no bluetooth, not surfing the net etc. Then the phone started to go off when I took it off charge. The screen would go black and only the butons at the bottom would be alight. Nothing would happen if I pressed any of the buttons, and I am not able to restart the phone. I then have to put it on charge again, take the battery out and re-insert it, and it will start up again as long as it is connected to the mains. The battery indicator shows the battery is fully charged, I did however buy a new battery and downloaded the latest update just before Christmas, which seemed to solve the problem for a few days, however the phone has now reverted to the same problem. The phone works perfectly well when connected to the mains, but the screen goes black as soon as it is disconnected, and will only start up again if connected back up to the mains and battery taken out and re-inserted.

Apr 10, 2012I bought a Nokia C3-01 touch and type last year in the beginning of June. It's been a bit funny from time to time, but near Christmas it turned itself off and the camera stopped working. In January, the touchscreen started to become unresponsive and difficult to operate, to the point where I am often unable to get into the phone. And typing a text / navigating around the menu is an absolute nightmare. I've tried to calibrate the screen, but that doesn't help, as it doesn't recognise that it's being touched sometimes.I haven't dropped the phone or got it wet. I don't use the internet on it either, so I presumably can't have a virus.Would it still be under warranty? I've had nothing but trouble with it and it certainly reinforces the notion of 'buy cheap, buy twice'.

Sep 27, 2011The plug part of my Motorola Defy stopped working so my only option at the moment is to charge via USB which isn't too great when I don't have my own computer at home at the moment so charging options are very limited.I contacted Amazon where I purchased the phone and they want me to send the whole lot back for replacement when it is just the plug part that doesn't work!i then contacted Motorola via their Chat and they were not much help either. It took them ages to respond to my query as they were busy chatting to someone else on the phone. When I eventually got a reply they said to contact CPW Accessory Repairs on 0870 087 0168. Contacted them and I was speaking to a robot and punching in different buttons on the keypad. Eventually it said to bring it in to one of the CPW stores and they may be able to help repair or replace it.What an absolute farce. It's absurd and impractical that Amazon have to replace the whole thing instead of just the small part that is faulty. It is just the plug part that doesn't work and I can't be sending the whole thing back with all my applications and viewranger maps to have to reinstall it all over again.

May 2, 2011When I try to access web sites from the Blackberry browser I get the "Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service. Please try again later" message. This happens whether connected through the T-Mobile network or Wi-fi.When I change the browser settings to the T-Mobile browser I am able to access web site just fine. However I would prefer to use the Blackberry browser because not all pages load correctly with the T-Mobile browser.
I have an active data plan and am connected to an enterprise server. My outlook and webmail e-mails work so I don't think it's a problem with my carrier. I've tried a battery pull, re-sending my service books, etc without luck.I think the problem may have started after connecting to my desktop for the first time in about a year, but I'm not completely certain. T-Mobile support and IT administrator have been no help.

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
