for example i first start up my camera then imediately click on snap shot (doing how fast it can load) (i know its still loading a bit)it do sometimes hang on a black screen then a small portrait on the lower left, after that even i waited it is still there nothing happens.no choice but to click on the "back button"

I can open camera app by holding button but can't take any picture in auto mode. Button works in 4K video, Timeshift video, AR effects, Timeshift burst mode. I didn't check Vine, info-eye and social live modes only. I can take pictures by touching the screen button in every mode.

Since I updated my Sony Ericson Neo V MT11a to the new android 4.0 through PC Companion, I'm not able to switch to use front camera or use the face unlock. It just seems that there's no front camera on my phone. I've already tried Software Repair twice and nothing. I'm not the only one with the problem as I could see on my surfing.

My front facing camera very rarely works, the quality of my rear camera has considerably decreased and it seems that the focusing function is also broken.When I presented my problem to sony they told me to reboot the device with the latest software. This temporarily fixed the problem however the cameras were very laggy and still terrible quality! After a week the problem has got worse once again and now neither my front or rear facing camera work.

It's also the same if I try to start the camera using Instagram or Snapchat. I've tried to restart the unit and cacheclan phone to see if storage was the problem. I`ve also tried to connect to the "update service" but when I hold the "volume down button" and connect the usb I get a message that the program can't find the unit. Starting to be a bit frustrated. View 2 Replies View Related1) the screen doesn't lock anymore; i mean the slide to unlock thing doesn't appear : when i lock the phone the screen just goes black but when it's in my pocket it unlocks itself and start messing around like calling by itself!
2)the central button now only lights the screen; it doesn't go back to the main screen anymore! i have to use the button <-- (back) as many times as i entered in a folder to go back to the main screen..
3)the phone doesn't ring anymore! i can listen to music or whatever but it will just vibrate when someone calls me! also when I try to change the sound level with the side buttons, even if i go max, it will say :Ringer Volume silent ringtone selected
4)the camera crashes as soon as i open it, it's just black as if something was blokcing the camera.. the only option reamaing is to turn off the phone and then reboot!
5)by the way when I press the shut off button usually you have 3 choices : *plane mode *power off *xxxx (i just can't rember what it was)well now i only have one option: power off!
6)Oh btw it has already happened to me a few days ago; after much searching in the internet with no answers i simply did the 'factory data reset' thing and it worked!

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
Got water damage to the 4s iPhone, however phone now works perfectly, except for the camera. Just comes up black.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone frequently returns a message "Error! Camera not Available!" when opening any application which uses a camera. This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.
The issue is the same as in this thread for Z1, however it disappoints me that the same happens in Z3 which is so much newer.
The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .
Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.
However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.
All of a sudden the duo camera effects don't work on my phone. I take a picture and go to the edit menu and all of the effects show up on the bottom of the picture but if I push ufocus or seasons or any of the others I get a message that says duo effects not available for this picture. It worked for me just a couple of days ago.

I tried to use it through the original Camera app and I didn't even have the option of the "selfie" or front camera. I reset the phone twice, deleted everything, restarted it several times and still nothing. I've tried to research the problem but found only people whose rear cam didn't work.
