Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Front Camera Doesn't Work?

I know this isn't the first time someone start a discussion to talk about this problem, but I still couldn't find a solution in the others discussions. Since I updated my Sony Ericson Neo V MT11a to the new android 4.0 through PC Companion, I'm not able to switch to use front camera or use the face unlock. It just seems that there's no front camera on my phone. I've already tried Software Repair twice and nothing. I'm not the only one with the problem as I could see on my surfing.

So I bought an Xperia z3 in the US just before Christmas and now that I'm back in the UK I find that the front Camera doesn't work (it is a hardware fault) and worse still Sony in the UK won't fix it as its not from here.
Appalling customer service from Sony and I'm regretting moving away from apple.

I received update to lollipop 5.0.2 and after the update i couldnt use my front camera i dont found it in the camera app the button to change from main camera to front dissapeard and when i use mirro small app it gives me Front Camera Not Found ,,

A few days ago, I started using the camera and tried to switch to the front one through Snapchat and it didn't let me. I tried to use it through the original Camera app and I didn't even have the option of the "selfie" or front camera. I reset the phone twice, deleted everything, restarted it several times and still nothing. I've tried to research the problem but found only people whose rear cam didn't work.

I recently recieved a second hand Iphone 4. I was testing the Camera, the rear one worked perfectly fine, however when i pressed the switch button the front facing camera shutter freezed and started flickering. In order to get it back to the rear camera I have to reset my settings.why the front facing camera is doing this and how i can fix it.

After updating my device to a new software, the front facing camera doesn't work anymore. I just see a black screen and it doesn't take any pictures. I tried resetting the phone, did factory reset and everything, nothing solves the problem. I'm desperate to get this sorted.

The problem is that the camera function of my device seems to be damaged. My front facing camera very rarely works, the quality of my rear camera has considerably decreased and it seems that the focusing function is also broken.When I presented my problem to sony they told me to reboot the device with the latest software. This temporarily fixed the problem however the cameras were very laggy and still terrible quality! After a week the problem has got worse once again and now neither my front or rear facing camera work.

Think it will work with normal phone calls? Or do you think it will only be used with specific apps?Would be cool to call a friend that also has an iphone and select a button for speaker phone/camera and start video conferencing.

For about 3 months, my front camera won't open. My screen gets frozen when I've tried to switch to it from my back camera. Also, when I try to use my front camera on Skype, noting pops up.

When i go in to my camera app and try to change to front facing camera the app freezes. It does not work on snapchat or any other apps that use a camera. It has been like this for 3 months at least.

1) the screen doesn't lock anymore; i mean the slide to unlock thing doesn't appear : when i lock the phone the screen just goes black but when it's in my pocket it unlocks itself and start messing around like calling by itself!
2)the central button now only lights the screen; it doesn't go back to the main screen anymore! i have to use the button <-- (back) as many times as i entered in a folder to go back to the main screen..
3)the phone doesn't ring anymore! i can listen to music or whatever but it will just vibrate when someone calls me! also when I try to change the sound level with the side buttons, even if i go max, it will say :Ringer Volume silent ringtone selected
4)the camera crashes as soon as i open it, it's just black as if something was blokcing the camera.. the only option reamaing is to turn off the phone and then reboot!
5)by the way when I press the shut off button usually you have 3 choices : *plane mode *power off *xxxx (i just can't rember what it was)well now i only have one option: power off!
6)Oh btw it has already happened to me a few days ago; after much searching in the internet with no answers i simply did the 'factory data reset' thing and it worked!

I know this may be speculation but this may be the deal breaker for me to get the next phone. I have a child off to college pretty soon who uses skype video regularly with her friends and I will assume with me also. I have actually gotten the skype video to work on my little Nokia N79 fairly well and would like my next phone to also have this capability so I can talk with her when she's away but I am not near my computer.

Problem 1:
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

I am using Android 4.0.4 when I make a video call with Skype I can't switch on the front camera. I can switch the camera on in normal camera after pressing mode for a few secs though but not in Skype.

When I'm using the front camera as it saves the actual image doesn't seem to be as clear as the imagine on the screen itself. Also when using it in certain lighting conditions it seems very grainy.

After I updated brand new Xperia Ray to Android 4.0.3 using PC Companion, the front facing camera is no longer active - I cannot find a way to switch from back camera to front.Before the update the switch from back to front camera worked OK.. When I checked Skype the camera was working there but still not working in main Camera application.
Also I cannot find the Sound Recorder but the Settings => Appl shows this aplication as existing on the phone.

Upgraded my Xperia Ray to ICS last night and when I went to test the face unlock, it only prompted to take a picture with the rear camera.Also the phone camera shows the same screen, without the icon to switch to the rear camera.
