I recently recieved a second hand Iphone 4. I was testing the Camera, the rear one worked perfectly fine, however when i pressed the switch button the front facing camera shutter freezed and started flickering. In order to get it back to the rear camera I have to reset my settings.why the front facing camera is doing this and how i can fix it.

I know this may be speculation but this may be the deal breaker for me to get the next phone. I have a child off to college pretty soon who uses skype video regularly with her friends and I will assume with me also. I have actually gotten the skype video to work on my little Nokia N79 fairly well and would like my next phone to also have this capability so I can talk with her when she's away but I am not near my computer.

My front facing camera very rarely works, the quality of my rear camera has considerably decreased and it seems that the focusing function is also broken.When I presented my problem to sony they told me to reboot the device with the latest software. This temporarily fixed the problem however the cameras were very laggy and still terrible quality! After a week the problem has got worse once again and now neither my front or rear facing camera work.

What are the chances that Apple will allow a Skype app that will utilize the FF camera? Even if it's only over wifi, it would make the FF camera much more useful.

I tried to use it through the original Camera app and I didn't even have the option of the "selfie" or front camera. I reset the phone twice, deleted everything, restarted it several times and still nothing. I've tried to research the problem but found only people whose rear cam didn't work.

Since I updated my Sony Ericson Neo V MT11a to the new android 4.0 through PC Companion, I'm not able to switch to use front camera or use the face unlock. The first picture I took with the front camera I noticed my head had grown about 3 times its normal size. Like all good selfie takers, I naturally raise my phone to take the picture, but the distortion does not happen when taking a picture straight on. It distorts at the bottom, and top of the picture, and also gets very dark in the same places and unnaturally light in the middle of the frame. The picture quality is also very grainy and slightly blurry.

I was so convinced on buying this phone I forgot to even test it out in-stores to check if the front-facing camera was still an issue like it was on the M7. I also bought it from an online Australian store, but imported, so I can't be bothered returning it. It seems like the S5 and a few other models have this issue?
I have already tried changing the settings by going to crop and then changing it from wide to standard. Standard works to reduce the distortion A BIT, and square is better but still distorted.
These photos are just shocking. I will post them anyway for the sake of science and hilarity. Even the more centered photo stretches my forehead. As if it's not big enough!!
