Will apps such as Skype be able to utilize the functions of the cameras for video calling? I am getting the iPhone 4 and my dad and uncle have Skype and we video chat all the time. So will apps like this be able to use the cameras in development? Discuss.
Think it will work with normal phone calls? Or do you think it will only be used with specific apps?Would be cool to call a friend that also has an iphone and select a button for speaker phone/camera and start video conferencing.
When i go in to my camera app and try to change to front facing camera the app freezes.  It does not work on snapchat  or any other apps that use a camera. It has been like this for 3 months at least.
The new Facetime looks cool, the only problem is you can only do it with another ip4 owner (and over wifi, at that). What are the chances that Apple will allow a Skype app that will utilize the FF camera? Even if it's only over wifi, it would make the FF camera much more useful.
I recently recieved a second hand Iphone 4. I was testing the Camera, the rear one worked perfectly fine, however when i pressed the switch button the front facing camera shutter freezed and started flickering. In order to get it back to the rear camera I have to reset my settings.why the front facing camera is doing this and how i can fix it.
I know this may be speculation but this may be the deal breaker for me to get the next phone. I have a child off to college pretty soon who uses skype video regularly with her friends and I will assume with me also. I have actually gotten the skype video to work on my little Nokia N79 fairly well and would like my next phone to also have this capability so I can talk with her when she's away but I am not near my computer.
When i turn on my camera facing outwards it is just black and any pictures i take are black. When i invert it the camera works and pictures work. i tried rebooting and updating software and turning my phone off and nothing works.
So my lumia 920 is 10 days old and Ive noticed a lot of dust under the glass of the FFC. † - I have read a lot of the posts here. Some people claim its the dust entering through the ear vent.
- I used a cannister of pressurised air onit today - and it indeed cleared all the dust out of the camera. † Where did the dust go? I read soemwhere that this blown out dust can wind up under the screen..Could it also end up obstructing the proximity sensor and mess up calls (blanking screen out)?
So I am on my 4th RAZR and this one seems to have an issue†Corporate Calendar sync. Well actually it doesn't even show a calendar for my work in the list, even though I have†uncheck and check the Calendar in the settings.Forward facing camera is not working either, not sure what going on I saw an error message but haven't been able to reproduce it to get the error message but it does do "Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly
I took one picture with the phone and a day later the phones front and rear facing camera are not working. i called motorola and did a battery pull as well as factory reset and still not working.my next step is to go back to verizon wireless and see what they can do. did anyone have this problem?
The front-facing camera on the Nokia 920 getting dust particles inside the lens? This should be a very sealed area. I don't work in dusty environments, etc. Just a normal office IT Professional, and is in a case most of the time and rarely in a pocket.
It flickers like an old television, a fade of black. Most of the time it works fine but there are random times it flickers, does this happen to anyone other than me? or my iPhone is defective, Anyone perhaps have an idea what causes this flickering* I facetime and skype video alot, also the iPhone gets warm very close to hot point while using facetime or skype videocalls.
