Mar 30, 2012Suddenly my xperia has stopped working when i try to interact with it when the game pad is not open. i can lock it, but on unlocking the display simply shows me a pixelated screen and it is un-usable. However the phone functions normally when i slide the game pad out, i can send and recieve texts, the display and touch screen work fine i'm not sure what to do and cant think why this would happen because the phone functions perfectly when the game pad is out.

Oct 14, 2011Have loved this phone been envy of all my friends for ages then I updated it.
The vutual sticks now seems to have stopped working, games don't even register they are there. Also the screen is playing up too, when it screen closes down, no matter how hard I press power button screen hardley ever comes in to life. Sometimes I can swip to unlock and can feel the phone vibrate as if something happaning but screen never comes alive. I now have to remove battery to restart.
I've tried doing a complet re load and took everything back to default but nothing.
I'm getting near the end of my tether, as I don't want to ahve to send my phone off for 2 weeks as I've got no replacement! Stupidly I sold my old phone.

I read the discription, went to tegrazone games on my computer and was blown away with the graphicsof such games as dark meadows. So I bought the paid version of Chainfire 3D, installed the drivers and plugins, I've followed all instructions and I still cannot get games like dark meadows to first download to my xperia play. I've use the plugins and opened terazone games then tried to get, say, dark meadow or Zen pinball and all it says my phone is not compatible. Now I thought that is where chainfire was suppose to come in. to make it compatible.

Aug 30, 2012I have an Xperia PLAY and recently the screen went fuzzy and I couldn't see anything so I had it repaired. However when I got it back it will not connect to my network which is Vodafone Ireland. When I try to connect it says "Your SIM Card does not allow a connection to this network". I have changed the mode from WCDMA and GSM and vice versa but still it won't connect. I even got a new sim card to try that. It will work with any of my older phones but not this one. The phone works perfectly at everthing else including internet by Wi-Fi but not as a phone.

It's the modus that is required for updating your phone, and it's step 3. But it fails every single time. PC Companion keeps saying it is unable to connect to my PLAY. No errorcode or nothing, it just gives the advice to reconnect my phone to the PC.

Do you need to use the Internet to view a video you have recorded yourself if it is in 4K if so how come?

Aug 26, 2011I just got the Xperia Play and I'm try to play the preploaded games like Ashpalt 6 or Crash Bandicoot. I have to download content to play them but every time I get a error message after it tries to dowload for a few minutes and the yellow status bar goes up a little bit. I've down a settings and factory restore and get the error message every time. While its download my phone will go to sleep and wont respond when hitting the home button. Do I need a new phone?

Aug 8, 2012Here are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.

Dec 20, 2010I successfully upgraded to Android 2.1 on my Xperia x10 Mini Pro. After the upgrade everything works beautifully except 2 things.
1> I am unable to play any online videos. When I try loading the video it does not load the control for it and shows a small square block like a Lego brick. Looks like the browser is missing some add-on like Flash or something. Have tried installing Flash for the browser but it said Flash is already installed.. Have tried downloading a different browser, like Opera but that does not help either.
2> This is not very important, but for some reason the alarm does not work any more. I can set the alarm on the phone. It shows that the alarm is set for a particular time but when the time comes it does not ring. Have tried using different applications for this but those don't work either.

Jan 25, 2012I phone recently developed a problem with touch screen becomming completely unresponsive. I googled and found its a common fault with Sony Handsets. Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.
