Everything on my phone is working fine except for email. This started when my service was cut off for a few hours because we forgot to pay the bill. At first no internet was working, but then I deleted a service book (something like blackberry internet 2) and everything works now including facebook, browser and BBM. I'm still not getting emails though. I have redone the registration and reset the phone countless times.
I have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?
I was having an issue with the screen not working at all last week. I went to get that fixed (they replaced a flex cable?) Anyway, it seemed fine after that except that I have noticed that the screen wont work when the phone is closed. It will not diplay who is calling or who a text is from until I open it. I can see the blackberry uploaing when I reset the phone for a few seconds, and then it goes black and I cant do anything until sliding the phone open.My first thought is that there is something wrong with the way the cable was put in. It works better than ever when it is open, but not when it is closed.
I have had a 9860 Torch for 15 months with Orange now, with no problems to mention. The phone however started to play up, the battery seem to run dry very quickly and I had to put it on charge daily without having used the phone much, ie no bluetooth, not surfing the net etc. Then the phone started to go off when I took it off charge. The screen would go black and only the butons at the bottom would be alight. Nothing would happen if I pressed any of the buttons, and I am not able to restart the phone. I then have to put it on charge again, take the battery out and re-insert it, and it will start up again as long as it is connected to the mains. The battery indicator shows the battery is fully charged, I did however buy a new battery and downloaded the latest update just before Christmas, which seemed to solve the problem for a few days, however the phone has now reverted to the same problem. The phone works perfectly well when connected to the mains, but the screen goes black as soon as it is disconnected, and will only start up again if connected back up to the mains and battery taken out and re-inserted.
trying to activate my work email to my blackberry torch 9800. the phone is contacting the server but never connects. keeps asking me to continue the activation or cancel the activation.
Its my last day at my current job tomorrow but I can't get my work email account off of my Torch. Any buttons related to email account management or setup don't work when I press them using either the button or touch screen. All other buttons on the screen work apart from those related to emails.
When I did the email set up wizard, I thought my phone would only be for personal do didn't choose the enterprise email server option. Now I need to add my work email account which is through Outlook and cannot do so properly. What steps do I need to do in order to get this email set-up or to be able to change my email settings to have both an hotmail and outlook account set-up?I have a Blackberry Curve 8330
I have just sync my new torch from my old bold. All info transfered perfectly including my 2 email accounts.
I have the misfortune of living in a 2G only area on remote Island. SMS, phone calls and wifi only. I had my old Bold working through wifi hot spots onto my gmail account and it was sending and receiving emails just fine but the torch just keeps saying 'activation failed. A service connection is unavailable' each time I try to activate the account.
Seems as though it wont work through wifi, i can surf the net with no problems
When I switched from bad Torch to the new Torch they sent me I was able to get email.But then when I went and backed up my old phone (so I could keep my contacts and calendar) and reinstalled my new phone I am now unable to use email. I get emails (for a 4 accounts) in 1 message folder, but I am unable to set up my individual addresses or respond to emails.
I have created an email address with an @blackberry.com ending, and I cannot access it on my phone, and now there are password issues and my password was emailed to my blackberry email account which of course I cannot access for some reason
I've had my new phone for about a week. I can recieve emails but after I reply and want to send, there is no send icon or send option in the options list. Also, I tried to open some attachments in an email and the phone said "timeout for sending request. Resend" When I pushed "yes" then the phone said "more request cannot be completed. Service book information not found"
I been having trouble trying to get my email account password.I have a new phone and even if I try to reset or find my password the account can't set up on the phone.I came on the PC and first sent the reset to my old phone then realized I didn't have it with me, then I sent it to my new phone but it's not set up, then finally I set it to my friends phone hoping I would get the link but this still hasn't arrived considering it was last night I sent all three.Where do I go from here how would I set up my account otherwise as I don't want to make a new account.
So I have a Torch 9800 and I need to setup a new email on my phone. I already have one email on my phone, but I need this second one as well. However, everytime I try setting it up, I can't get past choosing what kind of email it is. It doesn't open the app and I get a message saying that I need to check with my wireless service provider.
I had to switch back to my BB8300 because my torch messed up. I just updated everything for my torch and now my email won't verify. I am back to using my BBTorch 9800 and the message I keep getting is: Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again. I keep trying to log in and get the same message.
I have an email account on my BB Torch 9800 that has been deleted yet still appears on the menu. Have removed battery twice to refresh but still appears. It is interfering with another account.
i have been unable to access my email setup. I click on the icon and most times nothing happens, other times it goes to the next screen but that's it. I also can't access my personal email on the phone. Both my bb email acct and personal are there but only the bb email works. Is there a way to reinstall the email set up software or somewhere I can take the phone to have it done?
I'm not able to activate my email accounts on my device, Each time i try to activate them it tells me to verify my email password and while it is processing, it tells me: "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."
I recieved my Torch a few days ago and set up my gmail account on the handset which has been working perfectly. I've had to change my password for gmail on my account. However, when attempting to access the email accounts set up my phone will not let me into the option. Everything else works fine except this. I need my emails for work but, as I can't change the gmail password on my phone or add/delete any form of email account it's a little frustrating, especially as I got this phone due to it being praised for how good emails are on Blackberry. Are they working on a fix for this? I can't even access the Blackberry Internet service even though I have registered my phone.
I am new to BB and have successfully set-up 2 of my email accounts. The 3rd email account that I am trying to set-up is a Godaddy hosted account (1 of the other 2 accounts I have set-up successfully set-up is also with Godaddy - - it is an "Exchange" hosted account whereas the one I am having problems with is a "pop' account).
The steps I am following include:
Go to "Internet Mail Account" Click on "set up another email account" Click on "other" Enter my Email address and password, and hit "Continue"
The message returns saying that "your device had a problem connecting to the server"?
I have called Godaddy and they referenced particular port settings but I cannot find anywhere in the "set-up" menu that I can set the ports. They also recommended contacting BB...
After many, many tries on my BB device, checking and rechecking my account settings on Godaddy and my Outlook client settings...I just cannot get this to work.

I have a blackberry torch and just recently i have been unable to send pictures via email. I can send normal emails with just text etc but photos are coming up with the red X and the message is 'general failure'. I've been through all my setttings etc and can't figure out why this has happened as it was working fine.I have also checked encryption is off, tried resizing pictures and rebooting too many times to count!
I am unable to validate my email account on my 9800 Torch even though I put in the correct email password. The reply is always PASSWORD INVALID. Please help, I am not getting my latest emails.
I am unable to link my email accounts by clicking on Internet Email Account. When I click on this tab, nothing happens. Here is what I have tried:- Boot the phone when it is on- Checked the site http://<brand>.blackberry.com/rest/EmailClient/ , shows the error url could not be retrieved.
Have a 9850 verizon for 1 day.I recieve email,I can hear it when it comes in and I can see the header but it will not allow mw to open it. I was able to open an email setup confirmation from Blackberry but that is it. In addition I cannot surf the web or connect to the web. Verizon told me a defective phone but all else seems to work fine.Could it be a firmwear upgrade?
I changed my gmail password today on my laptop.Blackberry then sent me an email telling me to go to my email settings under "setup" to set up my new password. However, whenever I try to access the "internet email account" option from the email accounts setup page, I automatically get transferred back to the setup page. When I tried to access "internet email account" a few times in a row, my blackberry froze and I had to restart it.Consequently, I cannot access my email at all since I cant even type in my new password.
I have never had a problem opening email attachments on my torch until yesterday. I have rebooted and made sure all my device software is up to date and still no joy.
