Jul 4, 2012I have an email account on my BB Torch 9800 that has been deleted yet still appears on the menu. Have removed battery twice to refresh but still appears. It is interfering with another account.

Aug 25, 2010On my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? Jan 23, 2010When you want to delete an email, you usually get the 'Delete From Handheld & Mailbox', 'Delete From Handheld', or Cancel. All I get now is Delete or Cancel. My email reconciliation is set to delete on prompt, wireless reconcile is on, and on conflicts is set to mailbox wins. However, I am not being prompted. What is confusing is that on some emails it asks and on others it is not asking. I tried battery pulls, deleting and readding the email address. I only have a personal email and not business.

Dec 19, 2010I have a new Torch and I'm trying to delete the applications it came installed with - like Fandango and Bloomberg - and I'm following the directions, which say to hit the blackberry menu then delete, simple right? Except 'delete' isn't an option in the blackberry menu! I've tried it with every app just to see if I couldn't delete certain things, but it's never an option. And every instructional guide I can find lists that as the only way to do it from the handheld. Then I tried from the computer, and the apps I don't want, including some games, aren't even appearing in the list on the computer!

Aug 25, 2010Been searching here and cannot find the answer...I apologize if I missed something, but been going back and forth through the forums and online...Updated the Facebook app to latest version (1.8....) when I updated other apps/OS on my phone (8900, OS 4.6.1). Prior to that I think I had downgraded to 1.5 (or 1.6) to be able to upload photos consistently (didn't work with any "newer" version, so went backwards). With that version running...lacked features, but ran fine and photos were uploaded every time (FB started compressing them again, which is why I opted to try the update to 1.8)...my notifications were working properly gmail account on BB (only email associated with handheld) has FB emails set to skip inbox, mark as read etc. when you view on the web. Notifications came through FB app on BB (red star and alert) just fine, AND were "hidden" in BB messages folder. You could navigate to them, but didn't clutter the inbox.
I am VERY confused about the settings on this 1.8 version. Right now I get notifications on the app (red star, can read through app), BUT they also stay in my gmail inbox on the handheld which obviously takes up a LOT of space and don't want to have to constantly delete them. I do NOT get notified of a new email or anything, but want these hidden as they were in previous version.I WANT the emails to go to my gmail account they way they had been, I just do not want them to show up on my BB in the gmail inbox. Tried settings in options menu and doing via FB on the web, but can't find the right combination. Only see people with opposite problem of NOT getting notifications through FB app on BB, and I don't want to mess anything up.Can someone please help and explain what may fix this to go back to hiding the EMAIL version of the notification JUST on the handheld without disabling notifications through the app or with my web email?
